Chapter 5 Chapter 5 I'm Going to Make You Lose Your Job!

"Mr. Reed, congratulations on your inheritance of Tripod Group."

Sarah entered the office, closed the door, and said to Shelton with a smile on her face. Then she held out her fair hand.

Shelton forced a smile and shook her hand. "Come on, Old Mr. Reed planned everything. He'll choose another man to be his heir if I ever anger him. I should envy you. You are the president of Branch of Tripod Group in the State of New York. It is the most powerful company."

Sarah reassured him with a smile, "Mr. Reed, cheer up. Old Mr. Reed is not a temperamental man. You can achieve anything in the State of New York. I'll be your most loyal assistant."

"Forget it."

Shelton waved his hand. "Most who are first pay the price. That's what I've come to after twenty years in the Reed family. The smile stiffened on Sarah's face.

She knew what Shelton meant.

"This is the VIP Black Card from Citibank with 200 million dollars on it. Old Mr. Reed asked me to give it to you for your daily expenses."

"This Golden Card is from Mr. Luther, the president of Branch of Citibank in Chicago. Outside the iron gate of Villa No.1 stood a middle-aged couple in their fifties. The woman's eyes were red when she saw Shelton through the car window.

"Claire, Shawn, I've missed you guys, too."

Shelton said with a smile.

After exchanging pleasantries, Shelton pulled into the villa's parking lot and entered the villa.

"Mr. Reed, I hear you've become a live-in son-in-law and are having a hard time, aren't you?" Claire asked with concern.

Shelton smiled. "My arms and legs were broken and I was kicked out of the house. The man who saved me was my current father-in-law."

"Alas!"

Claire sighed. "Shawn and I tried to save you, but your second brother had someone watching us and wouldn't let us go out for three days. We went to look for you later, but you were gone. We've been feeling sorry for you for the past three years. We were so glad when we found out you were alive two days ago."

"Thanks, Shawn, Claire."

Shelton said in shame.

After they talked for a few minutes, Shawn sent Claire to prepare the potion for Shelton and he and Shelton chatted over coffee.

Nearly noon, Shelton took the potion and drove away in a hurry.

He had to hurry home to make lunch or he would be scolded again.

However, just as the car left Dragon Villa Area, Jessie called him.

Shelton knew Jessie would scold him for coming home late, but he picked up the phone anyway.

As he expected, he heard Jessie's insults as soon as he picked up the phone.

"I told you to get out of my house and leave Vera. Why don't you come back and make lunch? Do you want to starve me to death?"

"And why did you only get paid 50 dollars today? Did you know you were getting out of my house in three days so you got your salary early and had the accountant pay you only 50 dollars? Do you want to die?"

Two years ago, Tommy had a car accident. It didn't happen during work, so Gary and Aidan didn't let the accountant cover Tommy's medical bills. Jessie hung up the phone in anger.

"No." Shelton was confused. "Carl, why did I get fired?"

Carl was embarrassed.

Just then, an angry voice said, "You damn loser. I asked you to deliver a folder yesterday, but you saw your wife in a hotel room with another man, tore up the folder, and tried to hit him. The client made a complaint about you so I fired you."

"By the way, why do I need a reason to fire a loser?"

"Haha!"

Many people in the room couldn't stop laughing.

"Bullshit!"

Shelton angrily pointed at Mr. Owen and roared, "You can insult me, but you can't insult my wife. I won't let you go!"

Shelton angrily took out his phone.

"Are you going to call the police?" Mr. Owen sneered, not afraid at all.

"No, I'm going to make you lose your job!"

Then Shelton dialed a number.
