Chapter 2 Chapter 2 Driven Crazy!

Shelton was so familiar with the voice. Immediately, he turned around and saw Vera standing in the rain.

She was soaked to the bone. At this moment, she was breathing heavily with her hands on her knees. Her white shirt was wet and clinging to her chest.

Seeing her like this, Shelton was sad and immediately rushed to her like he would give up everything for her.

"Vera, what are you doing here?"

Shelton is really crazy! How dare he hit the bodyguards of the big shot from New York? Wasn't he afraid of being killed?

"I'm sorry. My husband is out of his mind. I apologize on his behalf. Please forgive him."

Vera bowed to Larry.

"It's okay." Larry smiled and waved his hand. "It's normal for young people to be irritable, but miss, can you please stop hitting your husband?"

"Huh?"

Vera was stunned!

Shelton hit this big shot's bodyguards, but he wasn't mad and even told me not to hit him.

God. He's so nice!

"I'm so sorry."

Vera bowed her head in shame.

"It's okay. Go home with your husband. Talk to him nicely and don't hit him again."

Larry had his men give Vera an umbrella and then the three cars drove away.

Vera breathed a sigh of relief, walked up to Shelton with the umbrella, and glared at him unhappily. "Look how open-minded the big shot from New York is. You got in his way and hit his bodyguards, but he forgave you. Otherwise, you would have been beaten and hospitalized."

"Well... I... I didn't do it on purpose."

Shelton didn't know what to say. He couldn't say that the old man was the Reed family's butler and that he'd hit them because they'd asked him to go back.

Vera snorted. "What are you waiting for? Take the umbrella and come with me to Hilton Hotel to get the car!"

"Then you should take action to shut them up instead of giving up on yourself. I'll only look down on you."

Vera had hated Shelton for three years and even dreamed of divorcing him. If Shelton hadn't said those words, she might never have known that she was so unwilling to separate from him when he did leave her.

Jessie's face instantly darkened. "Your grandpa and two uncles are all for your divorce. You haven't slept with this loser. You can marry into a rich family. Mr. Black doesn't mind you being divorced."

Vera looked helpless and was about to say something when a young man stepped out.

"Vera, you must get a divorce. Nilson Group is going bankrupt under your management. You must marry Mr. Black, or Nilson Group will go bankrupt and you will have to support my family, Uncle Aidan's family, and Grandpa!"

He was Weldon Nilson, Vera's oldest uncle's son.

"Bullshit!"

Vera was furious.

"Bullshit?"

Weldon sneered. "You bought 100,000 tons of steel, didn't you? The price per ton is now 4 dollars less than when you bought it. We even have to pay to put half the steel in another warehouse."

Shelton wasn't mad and continued, "If you're so good, why didn't Old Mr. Nilson make you the president instead of Vera?"

"Grandpa is blind! He doesn't know how capable I am or he wouldn't have made Vera the president. She doesn't deserve to be even a department manager. She doesn't deserve to be the president!"

"Then ask Old Mr. Nilson if he agrees with you," Shelton said with a smile.

Weldon froze.

His heart sank and he quickly turned his head to see Old Mr. Nilson in the main seat staring at him with an angry face and sharp eyes.

His parents both freaked out and stared at him.

"Grandpa, I..."

"Get down on your knees!"

Old Mr. Nilson shouted.

Weldon got down on his knees and shouted in panic, "Grandpa, don't be mad. I didn't mean it. Shelton provoked me on purpose or I wouldn't have said that!"
