The next morning, Shelton made breakfast and came back to the room when Vera came out of the bathroom.

"Something wrong?"

Seeing Shelton looking at her, Vera asked lightly.

"Here's the thing," Shelton said, "one of my classmates is working at the headquarters of a bank. He came to the State of New York yesterday on business. I thought I'd ask him if he could give you a loan. Maybe I won't be back to make lunch. You'll have to talk to Mom. She's going to scold me."

"Please call her and tell her that Shelton is here to see Larry."

Shelton had called Larry on the way in, but the line was busy, so he had to ask the president to contact Larry.

"We don't have a Larry here. You've got the wrong place. Get out or I'll call security," the receptionist said impatiently.

Shelton was speechless.

Tripod Group was owned by the Reed family. How could he be in the wrong place?

At that moment, a young man with a Gucci purse approached and greeted the receptionist. "Hey, Lucy."

"Mr. Perry, long time no see."

Lucy Milton grinned and promptly ignored Shelton.

"I was out of town on business and only got back a few days ago. I came by today to see Ms. Flynt about a multi-billion dollar project," Troy said deliberately.

"Why can't I see her if you can?" Shelton responded unhappily.

Troy laughed out loud. "Tripod Group is the leading private company in our country and has several trillion dollars. As head of Branch of Tripod Group in the State of New York, Ms. Flynt has hundreds of billions of dollars. She doesn't care about business that is worth less than 20 million dollars. If you want to talk to her about anything worth over 20 million dollars, you have to make an appointment. "No." Shelton shook his head.

"Then why are you still standing here? You don't even have the qualifications to apply for a job at Tripod Group. Get out." Troy pointed in the direction of the front door.

Shelton recognized this woman right away.

Lucy collapsed to the floor.
