Chapter 4 Satire

Chapter 4. Satire

"Ms. Naya, please don't divorce..."

Calista lyrically approached Naya, her eyes glazed over, making me feel sorry for my second wife, duh Gusti ... why did Naya complicate our situation? Calista is a good wife and she never badmouthed Naya, but why did Naya act as if Calista was wronging her?

"If you're angry... take it out on me, but please don't bully Mas Yuda with the word divorce," Calista said, her face so sad when confronted by Naya, Calista even humbly held my first wife's hand.

"I was wrong to involve Mas Yudha when I needed him, especially when Kenan was teething, his body was hot and when Kenan also started actively walking, so he often had a fever and..."

"I'm not angry."

Naya cut Calista off calmly, smiled broadly, then looked closely at her cousin.

"I'm not mad, just tired."

Naya said softly but with emphasis.

"If you weren't angry, why would you ask for a divorce? And if you're tired, shouldn't you be resting, not getting a divorce?" Calista asked with her eyes condensing.

How kind my second wife was, persuading my first wife. Naya should have been grateful that she had a good honey besides a cousin, Calista was also very wise but for some reason Naya was very selfish.

"Because I'm tired. Tired in the sense that it's not physical fatigue that can be rested. Tired of the heart and tired of the feeling of having to fight over Mas Yuda's situation or presence in our house," Naya answered, briefly turning to me and then back to Calista.

"You're not wrong, I'm not tough and immature, I often cry when Yunita or Yesi lose Mas Yudha in his best moments. Especially since Keenan's arrival, Mas Yuda hasn't come home to us for a full month," Naya said, turning to me with a sharp gaze.

Oh my God, I thought Naya forgave my mistakes, because she never protested anything I did.

"If Yuda was wrong, you should have warned him to really change, instead of ... "

My mother-in-law chimed in. But Naya cut in again.

"I already sent a WhatsApp chat to Mas Yudha. I could have painted Mas Yuda dozens of times, objecting when the man who became my husband spent too much time with his second wife. But Mas Yuda ignored me. I protested on WhatsApp chat but there was no response. So am I at fault here?"

Again Naya snatched at the words of the people around us, the woman looking calm, even though logically, between her and the people who were here at this time, of course Naya's side was in solitude.

Mama Novi let out a rough breath.

"Well then with a divorce, will everything change? Will you and your children get a father figure with a divorce?" My second mother-in-law asked in a tone that seemed annoyed.

"Not really, it's just that if we divorce there might be a possibility that someday gusti Allah will bring me together with a man who is able to make me the only queen in his life..."

Naya replied looking at me. I rounded my eyes, unable to believe that Naya actually thought she wanted to find a replacement for me?

What the hell, does Naya have another man who will take my place?

The proof is that she thinks she wants a man who she says wants to be her one and only queen.

"Isn't that right, Mas?" she asked sarcastically. My chest burned with my first wife's questions and statements.

What did she mean?
