Chapter 10 Spit it out

Chapter 10. Spit it out!

The door was locked from the inside.

"Where's the duplicate key?" I asked Naya.

Moments later, I managed to open the door.

"Yesi... mind your manners!" I scolded, yelling at my daughter which I almost never did before.

Yesi stared at me blankly, her eyeballs flooded with tears, I took a deep breath closed my eyes for a moment, feeling guilty, I thought it wasn't my fault, it was Yesi's fault for not being nice to my second wife.

"Yesi... After all, Aunt Calista is your mama too, you have no right to kick her out of this house, because this house is Papa's house. Only Papa has the right to determine everything, not you," I coaxed gently, lowering my tone of voice hoping that my daughter would be touched, after all I could not suddenly get angry without a reason.

"My mama is only Naya's mama. Forever and only. So if Papa thinks that I should think of Aunt Calista as Mama... it looks like Papa is just dreaming, because I will never fulfill Papa's wishes," Yesi said softly.

"Just so you know, because of Aunty Calista, I have lost everything for the past 3 years! Since you married Aunty Calista, you have never remembered my birthday, my art performances, my time! Where was you when I needed you? Huh?!" Yesi roared.

I was shocked why my daughter didn't understand me.

"I hate him, it's all because of Aunt Calista who wants to keep Papa. Can't Papa understand how much I hate him and feel that Papa has been taken away by Aunty Calista? Why don't you ever understand how I feel? Even though Mama always says that everything is fate and I have to share, but I feel that everything no longer matters! Everything has changed and I hate this change!"

She screamed.

"I hate it when Papa only comes home for three days a month or a week, whereas Papa always stays at Aunt Calista's all the time. Almost every day. And it's all because of Aunty Calista..." Yesi's index finger pointed at my wife, Calista covered her face as she sobbed.

Oh God, how could my daughter say such a thing? Who has influenced her mind to behave like this?

"Yesi... Papa is busy. Papa is also..."

"My friend's papa is busy too, he's even the CEO of a company. But he manages to make time to come home every day, so he can keep up with his daughter's progress. Then what about me?"

"I want to confide in Papa, I also want to say that I am heartbroken, that I also want to say that a few months ago I fell in love, and now I am heartbroken, I really want to say these things to his father, just like my friend's papa who always confides in his papa, but..."

"Yesi darling, Papa is trying to be fair in the future, Papa will not linger at Aunt Calista's house, as agreed at the beginning that Papa will be a week at Aunt Calista's house and a week at this house, you don't worry," I said persuading my daughter.

Yesi smiled forcefully.

"Still, it can't be every day, can it? I wanted Papa to come home every day, and then we'd have dinner at home, and every Saturday and Sunday we'd go for a walk. But..."

"Mas! I'm sorry, maybe it's better for me to go home from this house, I'm going to leave this house, Mas. I'm sorry for making you fight like this, I'm really..."

Calista hadn't finished her sentence yet, but my daughter cut her off again.

"Go home! Bring Papa home too! I've seen that Mama seems to be suffering. I suggest Papa and Mama get a divorce! My friend's papa did that too! When his papa remarried, his mama was divorced!"

Like a thunderbolt in the middle of the day, my daughter who had just entered junior high school said something that surprised me, at the same time Naya also seemed surprised by my daughter's words.

"Mama, you're willing to divorce from papa, right?" Asked my daughter, glancing at my first wife.

Naya nodded in agreement. I was flabbergasted.

What the hell, my daughter was telling me to get a divorce?
