In the vegetation, Olivia found Allan. He looked exhausted. That alone convinced her that it had taken a lot from him to get to her there in the Werewolf's territory. Excited to see him, she began, "What are you doing here Allan and how did you get here let alone, find out I was here?" She moved closer to him. He gave her a long hug. They were both in each other's embrace for some seconds before, Olivia discovered Allan was nervous and feeling terrible and the same time.
He breaks the embrace but, maintains his two hands on Oliver's arm. They looked into others' eyes. "I'm so sorry Olivia. I was wrong about you, I was wrong about my actions. I want you to forgive me. Please, forgive me. Believe me, I was never in support of this."
His pleas continued as Olivia simply stared at him in disbelief. She simply couldn't understand why he was pleading with her to forgive him. "Why are you acting strange? I don't know why you are pleading with me. You have not done anything wrong to me so, I don't understand why you are apologizing to me as your life depends on it. Whatever this is about, let me know because right now, I don't get it at all."
"Please, Olivia. You know I'm not mentally retarded. You are aware of what I'm talking about. Please, don't pretend you don't know," he looked away briefly as he begged before facing her once more, to apologize. "Please, I have done the unthinkable to you but please, find a place in your heart to forgive me."
"How can I forgive you when I don't know why I'm forgiving you? I don't have any problems with you. Neither have I considered any of your actions towards me in the past or even now, a terrible sin against me. So get up and tell me some good news from my mother," she said. Although she had been told the full nature of her wicked stepmother she still fantasized Catherina could do something to help her.
"Forget about her there is no good news coming from her now and neither will it ever come," Allan sounded disappointed.
"But, I hope she has been informed of my condition, hasn't she?" She knew the answer that might come but, she chose to ask anyway.
"She is aware you have been captured but, she is doing nothing about it. This is why I'm here now to beg for forgiveness. I will help you to escape. We can leave this place now and head to a safer place."
"Why do you keep on asking me for my forgiveness?" There was a moment of brief silence after Olivia's last question. Allan has found himself in a difficult position. How could he ever tell her the reason behind the forgiveness he had been asking from her?
Olivia noticed the lack of boldness in him therefore, she guessed what the problem might be. "Are you asking for my forgiveness because all of you fled when we were attacked? Was it because you and Gary both had arrows you could have used to defend us but instead, you chose to run away? Did I guess right?" She waited for him to confirm her assumption.
He managed to look up at her. "I did something eviler than that. I wish that was the only thing I did it would have been easier to beg for your forgiveness. But, what I have done will keep haunting me for the rest of my life."
At that point, Clara knew something must be wrong somewhere. She was absolutely confused and could only wait for him to let the cat out of the bag. "I won't ask you this again. This will be the last I will ask you about this. Now, may I hear what you have to tell me?" She moved her broke away from him so that, there was no contact between them again. She folded her two crossed arms, amid her demand.
Allan knew it was time to spill out whatever he had to tell Olivia. He lacked the courage to look into her eyes as he began to speak. "We knew we were going to be attacked. We were aware that only you would be kidnapped. I'm very ashamed of myself to be a party to this evil act against my childhood friend."
"Okay, I don't get it, Allan. What are you talking about?" Olivia expressed shock. She was confused and only wanted Allan to repeat his earlier statement so, she could understand him.
Still facing downwards, Allan moved his left foot in short random. He was nervous and unsure about how his childhood friend would react when he began to go into details. Nevertheless, he began. "The attack was pre-planned. It never happened on its own. It occurred because someone wanted it to go that way."
Inching closer to Allan, "I still don't get what you are talking about Allan. Please be specific, I have got no all night with you. Soon, they will trace my movement."
Allan knew she was right and proceeded to spill out the words from his mouth, which Olivia was desperate to hear. "It was your stepmother who arranged this. She had us do it. We were told to take you to the woods in the name of hunting. We weren't aware of what might happen to you but, she let to know you would be kidnapped and we would be spared. Rhoda knew about the plan as well. I had no choice, Olivia. Believe me, I wouldn't have agreed to that if I had another way," he confessed.
Still eager to hear more, "My stepmother, Catherina organized and executed this? Is that what you are trying to tell me, Allan?"
Still unable to face her, he answered, "Yes Olivia. I feel ashamed to be part of that. How can I ever face you again?"
"But, I still can't get why she did this to me. She could have easily killed me with her magic powers if she had wanted me dead. Why will she choose this way to kill me?"
Allan was alerted. "What are you talking about Olivia?" Finally, he looked up at her again. "Are you going to be killed, for real?"
"Yes, I will be killed, and I'm living my final days on earth. I will be offered as a sacrifice to the moon goddess all because you and Gary had chosen to betray your childhood friend. Thanks a lot for that."
