Chapter 9 NINE

"How can I tell my mom that I'm going to divorce Kairo?" Farah was silent in her room. crying about her terrible fate.

Today she had to get out of this house too. the house that salsa deliberately rented for her and Cairo. but now she had to end her contract marriage with Cairo.

Suddenly there was a loud knock on the door. making Farah so shocked. immediately she came out of her room.

"Who the hell? oh my gosh I'm so impatient" Farah opened her door and saw Dinda's angry face.

"Dinda, what are you doing here?" asked Farah in confusion.

Dinda suddenly squeezed Farah's arm hard.

"Eh, you're barren, huh?" asked Dinda with a glare.

Farah looked confused to answer Dinda's question.

"I-I..."

"Answer me! Are the test results true, huh?" Dinda rounded her eyes even more.

"I don't know, I just..." Farah was really confused about what to say.

"If I tell Dinda that the test results are actually fake. Dinda will definitely tell Salsa. I have to keep this a secret from Dinda," Farah said to herself.

"Come on, answer Farah!"

"e-iya I'm infertile. I didn't know either Din. I've been examined by a doctor and the test results show that I'm infertile" said Farah with a sad face. yes she was just pretending.

"Damn it! Why the hell are you barren. If I'm like this I won't get much money from salsa dong" exclaimed Dinda with annoyance.

"Sorry Din, I didn't know. I'm sorry for bothering you all this time. I also thank you for helping me all this time" said Farah.

"it's not that easy! now I'm asking for money. this is all also because I've wasted a lot of time because of you. I'm asking for half the money that salsa gave you. the contract marriage money is still there, right?"

"B-but Din, I already gave that money to my mom. my mom needs it more than Din. hospitalization costs a lot."

"Well, you can't do that. It's my loss too. where's the money." Dinda quickly walked into Farah's room and opened Farah's bag quickly.

"Dinda. Dinda, be patient, din."

"Yes, where's the money already!" Dinda glared impatiently.

Farah quickly opened her purse. she couldn't do much but just obey what Dinda wanted.

"There's only this much Din" Farah took out two million in her wallet.

"There's no way it's only this much. hurry up and transfer it to my ATM! If not, I'll tell your mom that you're just contract marrying Kairo!" Dinda threatened with a cynical face.

"Yes, yes Din, I will transfer the money to your ATM. but please don't say anything to my mom," Farah, the girl, pleaded with her friend.

"Okay, I'll wait for your transfer!" Dinda now left immediately.

Farah could only stay silent and look around the house.

"soon my life will be back to the bottom again. living poorly without a house. this is really my fate not to mention I have to talk to my mother if I'm going to divorce Kairo. oh my gosh what a headache..."

"Is everything taken care of?" asked Salsa firmly.

"I've taken care of everything. Maybe this month my divorce with Salsa will be finalized."

"That's good." said Salsa while combing her hair.

"But actually I'm even confused about what kind of wife to find for you. On Facebook there must be a lot of them," said Salsa with a smile looking at the mirror.

"Don't go crazy again, Salsa," Kairo, who was playing with his cell phone, became annoyed.

"Do I have to find you a woman who already has children? A widow, so she can definitely get pregnant if she marries you," salsa said with enthusiasm.

"I don't want to salsa, you please don't get weird again," the man with the firm jaw glanced at his wife.

A few months later Kairo and Farah's divorce was finalized. This meant they were no longer husband and wife. The two of them never met again.

"Mas, I'm really lazy when it comes to family gatherings like this," Salsa looked around with a sullen face.

"I'm taking it easy. I'm calm," said Cairo, who was wearing a silver suit.

They were both attending the wedding of Sinta's niece.

"Uh, there's Salsa and Cairo. How are you two doing?" asked Tante Lisa who is the sister of Salsa's mother-in-law.

"We are both healthy, Alhamdulillah. Auntie is getting prettier," Salsa said. She pretended to look at her aunt's clothes, which she thought were ugly.

"Auntie's clothes are really nice. It fits perfectly with today's event," Salsa praised with a sweet smile.

"Yes, it must have been bought abroad. eh, how do you two have children?" asked Tente in an excited tone.

"Not yet, Tante, we're both still taking it easy. If there is, we're grateful, if there isn't, we're still grateful," said Cairo, smiling sweetly. he tried to answer that so that Sasa wouldn't be pressured anymore with questions like that.

"how come you haven't? have you done any pregnancy programs? duh, you should have children, it would be nice. all your businesses are already running smoothly. it's just the children who haven't. come on, you two are excited. you can definitely have children. if you don't have children, it won't be crowded, right? just going here and there with the two of you won't be nice," said Aunt Lisa knowingly.

"Damn this Auntie, she dares to insult me," said Salsa in her heart.

"Yes, Tante, let's go there first. I want to get something to eat," Cairo immediately cut the conversation to protect his wife.

Cairo's hand quickly grabbed his wife's wrist and left with quick steps.

"You chili mouth! It's crazy what people say about me," Salsa said with annoyance.

"Just be patient. Don't take it to heart. Here, have some ice cream," Kairo gave the ice cream to Salsa.

They both sat and ate the food at the wedding. Cairo happily ate meatballs. While Salsa only ate ice cream.

"Uh there is mbak salsa owner of Salsabila scincare," greeted a woman with a hijab like a celebrity.

"Uh yes, hi," greeted salsa trying to be friendly.

"I usually buy mbak salsa's scincare loh,"

"Oh yes, thank you, thank you,"

"Are you pregnant yet?"

"Not yet," Salsa began to feel uncomfortable with this question.

"No, it's not like you've been married for ten years or more. You should exercise more often. Surely healthy and can have children. I'm rich, I have a good body. I already have three children," said the woman, glancing at Cairo.

"Oh yes, that's good," Salsa tried not to get angry in front of the customer.

"Mas Kairo must really want to have children. I'm so sorry for Cairo. Come on, mbak salsa has a child. Keep your spirits up mbak salsa. Don't sleep too much. Exercise and eat healthy. There are many programs now. Pregnant program. Just follow all of them. Right, Cairo?" asked the woman with a spoiled face.

"Yes, ma'am, thank you for your advice," said Cairo very kindly. He tried not to get angry. But now his wife just left while stomping her high heels.

"Salsa, honey, where are you going?" Cairo stood up quickly.

Salsa was really lazy to go to an event like this. Because she kept getting asked questions about her children. This really frustrated Salsa badly. Now her head was about to explode.

"What a crazy person!" said Salsa sitting in the car quickly.

"The event isn't over yet salsa, why are you going home anyway," Kairo frowned.

"You think I feel at home in there? It was hell in there. You want our wife to explode and throw all the stuff in there, huh?" Salsa gritted her teeth. She was really upset.

Kairo was now silent and got into the car. The car drove off quickly.

"Mom, wake up mom," Farah stomped hard on her mother's arms.

On the bed, her mother had met her death. Farah could only continue to call her mother as she continued to shed tears.

Now her life was completely destroyed. She had no one but her mother. Five days after her mother's departure. A woman knocked loudly on the door.

"Farah! Farah!"

Farah, who was washing clothes, had to stop the work quickly. She washed her hands in the faucet.

The knocking on the door was getting louder.

"Geez, I can't wait," Farah said, walking hurriedly to the front door.

"Farah? Where's the rent money, huh?" asked Mrs. Bekti in a high tone.

"Sorry ma'am, I don't have any money today. I'll pay it off next month, ma'am," Farah said gently.

"No way! You have to pay now! If not, you will leave this house today!"

"Oh my gosh, mom, no mom. I don't have a house ma'am. Don't kick me out mom,"

"Well now where's the money heh?"

Farah quickly turned around and opened her curtains. She opened her wallet and there was only five hundred thousand. Actually it was money for a month of her life.

"Here mom, I only have this much money. This is for my one month's expenses ma'am," Farah said with a pleading face.

Suddenly, Mrs. Bekti's hand quickly withdrew the money from Farah's hand.

"Geez mom, not all of it mom,"

"Your rent is still not much. Let's just give the money to mom. You don't have to pay off your debt. It's useless, it won't be paid either. You can leave here tomorrow. Because there's already someone who wants to rent here! So tomorrow this house must be empty. I don't want to know anymore!" Mrs. Bekti quickly turned around and left with Farah's five hundred thousand.

"Oh my God, where do I have to go tomorrow? Where do I have to live again, O God," Fara looked in the mirror with

Sadly.

The next day she was forced to leave the rented house. Now she was very confused about where to go. Thirsty, she sat on the tiles in front of the shop. Fortunately the shop was closed. If there was a shop owner. Surely Farah would get angry from the shop owner.

"Oh my God, I'm really confused about where to go. Now mom is gone. I really miss you. I feel so stupid and bad. When mom was sick. I didn't help her much," said Farah with a sad face.

Farah met an old friend. Her junior high school friend. She was invited to work at her friend's restaurant.

"Thank you so much for helping me. I'm really happy to be working here," said Farah, smiling sweetly as she looked around the restaurant's luxurious ornaments.

"Yes, you're welcome Farah. Oh yes, you quickly change into your uniform. There are usually customers at this hour. You have to be friendly with the customers," said Farah.

"Yes Mrs. Amel," Farah nodded.

Farah quickly cleaned the table with a special cloth. The restaurant where she works looks so clean now. When a customer came in, Farah kindly greeted them and asked what they wanted to order.

"Okay, please wait for your order," Farah said kindly.

After a few minutes she slowly delivered the order to the customer's table. After she finished, she returned to greet another guest and it turned out that the guest was someone she knew.

"Mas Kairo?" Farah gaped in disbelief to see her ex-husband in front of her.

"Eh, why are you calling my husband that. You are a nobody. We don't know you," Salsa said with an angry face.

Salsa's hand quickly waved to another waiter.

"Yes, what is it?" asked the waiter.

"This is a new employee. How come you don't really welcome guests. Where's the boss? I want to meet the boss here. Hurry up!" salsa's order made Kairo's face widen.

"What the hell are you, Salsa? What did Farah do wrong?" asked Cairo in surprise.

"Did you mention her name? Oh my gosh, you have nothing to do with her anymore. Let's go there now," said Salsa, quickly pulling her husband's arm towards the table.

Kairo could only stare at Farah with pity. Farah's eyes also looked at Cairo's face. There was sadness in her heart.

"Oh God, how could Ms. Salsa treat me like this. I was just saying hello to my ex-husband," said Salsa with her head down.

Now Salsa saw her boss, Ms. Amel, heading towards Salsa and Kairo's table.

"I'll definitely get mad at Ms. Amel. How could I say anything to Ms. Amel?" Salsa could only walk quickly now that Ms. Amel was waving at her.

"Yes Mrs. Amel, what's wrong mom?" asked Amel kindly.

"What are you doing? Ms. Salsa is an old customer here. She's the owner of the famous salsa skincare. How could you not be friendly to Mrs. Salsa. Now you apologize to her," Amel said angrily.

Farah glanced lazily at her. She really had a headache with salsa.

"Sorry Ms. Salsa. Next time I will be more friendly," Farah said with a sweet smile. A forced smile to be more precise.

"Well, hurry up and I'll order some food," said Salsa casually. She even seemed to ignore Farah's apologetic words.

"Salsa, don't be like that," Kairo whispered, glancing at his wife.

"You just shut up already!"

"Once again, I apologize for my employee's mistake, ma'am. Please excuse me," said Mrs. Amel, the boss of the restaurant and left quickly.

"I want the most delicious menu here. Hurry up and don't take too long!" Salsa said firmly.

"Yes, Ms. Salsa," Farah now quickly headed to the kitchen. She conveyed to the chef what the customers of Salsa and Cairo's table ordered.

While waiting for the order to be made. Farah sat in a chair for a while. She sighed heavily.

"It turns out that working like this is tired too. Not to mention that the customers here are so arrogant. What they want is always perfect," said Farah grumbling.

"Uh why are you sitting Farah? It's time to work! Don't be lazy!"

"Sorry ma'am, but I'm waiting for the order to be finished. There are no other customers, ma'am. So I'm just sitting here."

"It's really nice of you. Even though there are no customers, we have to stand. If you sit, it's not nice to be seen by customers. You look lazy! Hurry up and stand up now!"

"Yes, ma'am," Farah said softly and stood up.

Now Ms. Amel left.

"You don't want to try anything with Ms. Amel. You'll get a pay cut!" said Fernando, the chef who was cooking.

"That's right, yes I'll try to improve myself," said Farah, trying to get excited.

"While there are no customers. I'm going to the toilet first," said Farah then she quickly headed to the toilet. In her haste, Farah bumped into Cairo. Automatically the two of them now looked at each other in shock.

"I'm sorry sir," said Farah trying to forget her past.

"Be careful on that road," Cairo said in a strange tone. She immediately left Farah's presence.

I don't know why she felt so bad. She wanted to talk more with Salsa. But there seemed to be a boundary that made them unable to unite.

"Stop Cairo, don't think about Farah!" said Cairo in his heart confidently.

Meanwhile, Farah's mind also flashed memories of Kairo juang. A businessman who made her have strange feelings.

"Oh my, Kairo is still so handsome. I wish he could be my husband for the rest of my life. Huh dream dream!" said Farah, quickly shaking her head.

"Farah, it's ready to eat!" said Fernando quickly as he saw Farah hurriedly approaching the kitchen.

Now Farah was carrying a tray and slowly making her way to the salsa table.

"What a long time!" Said the woman with long wavy hair.

"Sorry ma'am salsa," Farah now placed the food on the table carefully. But unfortunately the brown drink spilled on Salsa's white shirt. Salsa's scream made some customers look at her in panic.

"Stupid!"

"Sorry ma'am, sorry. I'll clean it up," Farah's hand pulled a piece of sleep from the tissue box and tried to clean salsa's shirt.

"Don't hold it!"

Farah finally stopped with her actions and now she could only remain silent.

"We'll buy more clothes later, dear. Let's just eat," Cairo said, trying to calm his wife down.

"Call your boss here!" Salsa said looking at Farah harshly.

"Ta-but Ms. salsa,"

"Hurry up!" Salsa shouted with boiling anger.

Ms. Amel in her cardigan suit came in with a panicked face.

"I want this Farah fired! I don't like sloppy employees like her! There's no way she can replace my expensive clothes! Now fire her right now! If not, I won't eat here anymore!"

"Yes, ma'am, yes," Mrs. Amel now looked at Farah sternly.

"Farah, you are fired right now! Take off your uniform!"

"What? I'm fired?" Farah gaped in disbelief. Her eyes were glassy with sadness.
