I opened my eyes slowly and looked at my reflection in the mirror. I was shocked beyond words. The person inside the mirror looked so stunning.
"Wow, Evelyn, you really look great. I know you would be breathtaking if you wore makeup." I heard Ava say beside me. She's not lying. I'm beautiful without makeup, but I look breathtaking now with a bit of makeup. I stared at my straight white hair.
I touched it gently and sighed. "Should I dye my hair black?"
Ava slapped my hand off my hair. "Don't let me hear you mention dying your hair again. Your hair is unique, and I loved that. It adds to your beauty."
I smiled. Sometimes Ava behaved like my mum.
I watched as she brought out a short black gown and four-inch black heels.
"Who is that for? Hope it's not for me?" I said with a frown.
Ava smiled at me cutely, showing off her dimples and making her look more adorable. "Of course, it's for you, baby girl. Now go get dressed," She said as she handed me the black gown.
I dragged myself to the bathroom and changed into the dress. I came out of the bathroom and saw Ava was also dressed in the same gown as me. The gown reached my mid-thigh.
Ava scanned me from head to toe and smiled in satisfaction. "You look great." She commented.
I put on my heels, and we both left my room.
My mom was surprised to see me dressed in something like this. This was the first time I would wear something like this.
"We are going to a party, Aunty. Please don't worry. Evelyn is in my care." Ava said to my mum.
My mum nodded and smiled. She then turned to me, "Don't stay up late, and remember, no boys behind the closed door until you find your mate."
Ava laughed while I blushed. I understood what my mum meant, and I waved her goodbye as we walked out of the house.
We soon arrived at the club; this was my first time being in a club. The place was dimly lit with different types of colors. There were many people on the dance floor. I held Ava's hand tightly. I didn't want to get separated from her and be alone amongst all these strange faces.
"Let's go to the VIP suite first," she suggested. "Neil will be waiting for us."
I nodded, and we went to the VIP suite. Ava pushed open the door, and we entered.
*****
The first thing I saw was Dylan sitting with two girls beside him. One was Alicia, but I didn't seem to be able to place the other girl - he had different ones every time.
Opposite them, Neil sat, slowly sipping wine.
I wouldn't have come if I had known Dylan would be here.
Ava walked over to her mate and sat on his leg, and they both kissed as if they hadn't seen each other in ages.
I felt Dylan's gaze linger on my body. Of course, he was surprised to see me dressed like this.
After Ava greeted Neil, she walked back to me.
"Let's go," she said, because she knew I didn't feel safe with Dylan here.
We had almost made it to the door when his cold voice stopped me.
"Won't you greet me, Little witch?"
I froze on the spot. I had hoped I would make it out of here without any trouble.
I turned to face him and gave a bow. "Hello, Prince."
"Come here," He said in a commanding tone.
My leg felt heavy, and I walked over to him. I knew no one could help me now, not even Ava; he was our soon-to-be Alpha. I wouldn't say I like that I could do nothing to him.
He pulled me, and I fell right straight on his lap. I could feel Alicia's cold glare behind my head.
He ran his eyes up and down my body in a way that wanted me to cover myself with my hands or run far, far away from him. "I didn't know you could clean up this good."
I tried to stand up but he pulled me back. "Did I tell you to stand up?"
"I need to use the restroom." I replied, my heart pounding. Being this close to him was not something I wanted. It terrified me.
"Oh, really?" He asked. His voice had gone all sultry. "Want me to come with you?"
I know what he meant by that. I glanced at Ava, giving her a pleading look.
Ava saw my signal and walked over to her mate. She whispered something to his ear, and Neil directed his gaze to us.
"Dylan, let the girl be. You have enough women to last you the night." Neil said.
Dylan was silent for a while, then he released me.
I felt relief wash over me and I fled the place quickly before he changed his mind.
Ava also got out of the VIP suite and gave me a pleading look.
"I'm sorry, babe. I wouldn't have asked you to come with me if I knew this would happen."
"No, it's fine." I was quick to reassure her. "I'm fine."
"Alright, then. Let's go get some drinks and parrrrty!" She screamed the last part out and I laughed as I followed her to the bar..
