Chapter 5 Mates !

Evelyn's Pov

A bartender passed by, and Ava took two glasses of wine from his tray; she gave me one and had one for herself.

"What is this called," I asked as I swirled the glass of drink

"You will surely like it, and it has a little alcohol in it," said Ava as she drank her own in one shot.

I sipped the wine. It didn't taste enjoyable initially, but I got accustomed to it. I asked for another bottle of wine to share with Ava.

Ava and I soon got drunk. Ava pulled me to the dance floor, and we started dancing wild. I twisted my body and wiggled my hips. I'm a good dancer, but it has been a long since I last danced. Ava also dances well; people soon left the dancing floor for us, and we become the center of attention. I felt great.

Dylan Pov

My best friend and I got out of the VIP suite. I was surprised to see the Little Witch and her friend dancing; they danced so well. People cleared the dancing floor for them.

"They are drunk." I heard Neil say beside me.

"I need to take them home," Neil said, and he went downstairs.

My eyes never left Evelyn for once; she danced so sexily.

Neil carried his mate, turning to me, "Can you help me with Evelyn?"

I nodded and carried Evelyn. Evelyn struggled to break free from me, but her struggle was nothing compared to my strength.

"Let go of me, I wanted to dance more," she said as she rubbed her body on me.

"Continue to rub your body on me, and you won't like the consequences," I warned, suddenly irritated because can someone explain to me why my fucking cock was hard because I had this witch in my arms?

My words seemed to have had an impact on her because she immiediately stopped struggling and stayed peacefully in my arms.

I carried her to Neil's car and put her in the backseat. Neil also put his mate in the backseat. He hooked their seatbelts, and I entered the passenger seat.

Before the car even started to move, the girls were already fast asleep. The car soon stopped in front of Evelyn's house.

I turned and face the back. "Wake up. We've arrived."

Neil got out of the car and opened the backseat door.

"Ava, let go of your friend. She has to go home," Neil said as he tried to separate them. But the girls hugged themselves even more tightly.

"I will sleep at Evelyn house today, I'm not going home," Ava said in her drunken state.

Evelyn also nodded her head. "You can go home. My baby's staying with me today," Evelyn pouted. She's so charming.

Wait, what?!

"Let them be then," I said as I carried Evelyn out of the car.

Neil also carried his mate out of the car, and we both helped them to Evelyn's house.

Evelyn's Pov

I woke up with a terrible headache. I looked beside me and saw Ava. Both of her legs were on me. I pushed them, and she rolled off the bed.

"Ouch," Ava said as she landed on the floor, she sat up and glared at me.

The door pushed open, and my mother entered with two bowls in her hand. She was already dressed in her work uniform.

"Here is your hangover soup." My mother said as she put down the the bowls.

She was about to leave when she turned back abruptly and glared at the two of us, "Don't you dare drink again if you are going to school the next day, do you hear me?"

We both nodded. "Yes, ma'am."

She left.

"Fuck!" I cursed as I checked the time. It was already 10:15 AM.

"We are already late for school!" I screamed.

Ava seemed unbothered by the fact that we were late. She drank her soup and wiped her lips. "Stop screaming like a maniac. We're sitting today out. It's not like we will get scolded."

"Tomorrow is my birthday," I said out of the blue. My eyes widened in excitement.

"Congratulations, sweetheart," Ava said as she hugged me from behind. "I hope you find your mate".

"I hope so too," I was grinning from ear to ear, excited.

Ava and I spent the whole day indoors. I really had a great time. Ava soon went home when my mother came back. My mother brought a cake along with her.

I'm so excited. I spent the whole night rolling and tossing around on the bed. I couldn't sleep because of excitement.

The following day, I had massive dark circles under my eyes because of my lack of sleep. I quickly took my bath and came downstairs to find Ava in the dining with my Mom.

"Happy birthday, sweetheart," My mum and Ava said in unison; a beautiful cake was in my mom's hand.

I hadn't expected Ava to be here already; I smiled sheepishly. I was now a fully grown adult.

I blew out the candles and make a wish. We all ate the cake, and Ava and I set for school.

I had butterflies in my stomach, "Who do you think my mate will be? Will I find him today? Will he be from this pack? Do you think he'llbe gorgeous?" I kept pestering Ava until we got to the school.

Dylan's Pov

I was replying to an email on my phone when the smell of lotus flowers hit me, the smell growing stronger by the minute.

"MATE!"

My wolf growled. I quickly got out of class and traced the scent, the scent was coming from the school entrance. My wolf almost overtook me, my heart was jiggling, and I almost went crazy. The scent grew more assertive. I soon found the owner of the scent. It was none other than the little witch.

Her eyes widened in surprise when she saw me.

How can she be my mate? How can a wolf-less girl be my mate?
