Chapter 5 5

Trixie was FORGOTTEN by the ringtone of her cell phone that had been making noise for a while, she just didn't notice or maybe she didn't even hear it because she was sleeping-

"Wait, sleeping?! I fell asleep?! Why did I fall asleep?!" he shouted hysterically when he realized what happened to him today.

He was in the bathtub and his plan was to soak in the water for just a few minutes but he didn't realize that he was already taking a nap!

He fell asleep in the bathtub and there was still water. He was sure that his mother would scold him if she found out what he had done just now.

He slapped himself lightly and immediately stood up. Every move he made was quick and even when he put the shampoo on, it only bubbled once and then poured into his shower.

He grabbed his white towel and immediately wrapped it around his naked body and then he came out of his bathroom.

He put his cellphone on the table and answered his mommy's call. His loudspeaker was turned on so he was able to get dressed while he and his mother were talking.

"Where are you really now, Trixie? We have been waiting for your Daddy, son. You said earlier that you were coming? But why have we been waiting for you for over an hour and you are still not there?" he asked her one after the other. He scratched his brow because of how long he had told her.

She tasted first and put on her off-shoulder dress that was longer than her knees. Why is it because she said that she was on her way so her parents kept hoping that she would come home quickly. He regrets what he did.

"I'm sorry, Mommy. I was tired from working all day, so when I got home to my condo, I laid down on the sofa. My plan was to rest for five minutes, but I exceeded my time limit," he explained at length.

"Son..."

"I'm getting dressed now, Mommy. I promise I'm on my way. I will first go to your favorite bakery to greet you with pandesal with tuna," he said.

"Okay. We are still waiting. Just don't rush, just drive slowly, son," he reminded her and she nodded.

He couldn't even dry his hair because he was in such a hurry. He just took his handbag and left his condo.

He really didn't want to keep his parents waiting and even more he didn't want to let them down.

Why so? When you are ready and your decision is final, then you will be disappointed because of its rejection of you?

You really don't have anything else to worry about but to fulfill one of your dreams. Just marry the girl you love the most. But there are things that really happen that you want them to happen.

Wade tearfully looked at Molly because of her rejection of him. His expectation is still high that he will not hesitate to answer him immediately. Because he also has confidence in their love for each other and he doesn't see anything else that will cause him to reject his marriage proposal.

But now he really didn't understand his girlfriend. Just now he disappointed her and surprised her with his answer to her. What will happen is far from his expectation.

"W-Why? Why don't you want to marry me, babe?" he asked the girl and his voice broke.

He didn't answer but pulled out a folder from his bag and handed it to her. Even though he didn't want to stand up because he really wanted to beg, he just stood up.

His hand was shaking as he reached for his folder. It seemed like thousands of needles were stuck in his chest so that his heart could feel its pain but he only forced himself to be strong at this time. He doesn't want a breakdown.

"I'm really sorry, Wade..." he repeatedly apologized to her. It's like that's all it knows to say. Just a sorry?

He loves Molly and he can wait again for her to be ready to marry him, but that's not exactly what's on his mind. Because he was hurt.

He was hurt by his answer and by saying that he was not ready yet. Not yet, but when will it be ready?

"W-What is this?" he stuttered and saw only one contract. Its contract with the agency itself.

"I renewed my contract and it's still three years, Wade. I can't...take it back because I've already signed and it's one of the big projects that can make my career even better," he explained to her and she shook her head.

It has a new contract signed with the agency. He knows that if something is signed, he does not want to take it back because there is also a payment that even if he says that he will pay, he will not listen to him and give it. So what else is the point of the song to say? He's just wasting effort. Career is on his mind again.

"You want me to wait for you again, Molly? You want me to wait three years for you to come back and answer me?" he asked and he smiled bitterly. Because that's what he's going to do again. To wait again, how long? How long will he wait?

"I-I'm really sorry, Wade..."

"A-What you are doing now is breaking up. That's what you want, isn't it?" he asked softly and she slowly nodded. "Almost ten years, Molly... Ten years, babe... G-You want us to just end our relationship?" he asked the girl in disbelief.

"That would be better for us, Wade. I don't want to let you go but I just don't want to think that you're hurting just because of me. I love you... I love you so much, Wade..." He just shook his head because he didn't expect them to be separated.

He prepared this night. He even bought a ring. Bought a new dress and even reserved a table and VIP room just for his marriage proposal but this is the only thing that will happen?

How is it able to make their love peak just because of its career? That was the only reason why it was all over with them?

"Molly..."

"I'm sorry, Wade," he repeated what he said earlier. He walked closer to her and hugged her tightly. "I love you, Wade," he said while kissing his cheek. He didn't do anything. No words came out of his mouth as he walked towards the door.

She couldn't speak and she couldn't beg for him to come back to her. It's like he just let it go.

But he was sure of only one thing. When her boyfriend came out, she knew it was all over. They are done...

There was no reason for him to... stay there for long. Because it was over... The relationship he and Molly had been keeping for a long time was over.
