Chapter 4 4

WHITE t-shirt with scratches on her beautiful body and you can see there how much she takes care of her own body. His muscles are visible because Papa's clothes are too small for him.

His gray pajama was too tight on him because it didn't even reach his ankles. The only thing is that the cloth is really wrapped around him. His hair was messy because it was wet but it didn't detract from his handsome face.

I just sipped the coffee brewed by Ate Lessa. Meanwhile, Attorney Franklin said he drank two glasses of coffee while he was waiting for us.

"Sister Lessa. Have they prepared our dinner yet?" I asked Ate Lessa in a low tone so that our guests wouldn't hear me.

"Yes, Señorita. Just before you came down," he answered me and I nodded.

"Miss Lorainne. May I begin now?" asked Attorney Franklin, only asking me for permission to speak.

"Alright," I said and just held my cup of coffee because I wanted the warmth of it in my palms. I'm still cold.

"I know you will be surprised but Señor Nazareno has been preparing this for a long time," he said. He mentioned my Dad's name. I know that my father has other things to worry about besides our lands in the province. We also have a rice mill.

"Don't worry about me. Just continue what we are talking about," I said. He took a deep breath before continuing to explain.

He only mentioned my father's properties and his other businesses. Clearly I understood that he had an investment in the other company and that he already has shares there.

"In order for you to get your inheritance from your father, Señorita, he has a request here and you have to fulfill it. You can freely get what your parents worked for but it is also reserved for you," he promised and I nodded softly. I am their only child, so I expect that to be left to me.

"There is no problem with me, Attorney. I can do it because I know it's easy," I said and took a sip of coffee.

"You have to stay at the mansion of the Brilliantes clan, Señorita," he said and I put down my coffee.

"What do you mean?" I asked him in surprise. Because why would I stay at someone else's house? Well, we have a mansion.

"In other words-"

"You need to marry me," the man with Attorney Franklin casually promised. I was surprised, of course who wouldn't be surprised by that, right? Marry him? I must have heard right, right?

In order to get my inheritance from my late parents I have to marry this man I don't even know? That I don't even know his name? Is Attorney Franklin serious? Or is it correct to say Papa? Is he going to write his last will that I should marry the man he chose?

I looked at the man unconsciously. I don't have a problem with his looks and I can see his kindness. I just don't want to look at his eyes for a long time because I can see something in him.

When our eyes met, I saw in him that he had someone he would cry too much to. That he was afraid to lose in his life. Even just based on what I see of him, he is also the type of man who is hard to win, he is serious and you can also see that his face is always expressionless.

There is something-or it is correct to say that he has someone he is afraid of losing and he will cry a lot. But he still has a long life and I think I will be ahead of him, eh.

"Why? Why is that Papa's last will?" Still confused, I asked the attorney and he gave me my father's last will. I sighed again. Because it is my Papa's handwriting and I can clearly read what he wants to happen so that I can get the inheritance from him. But... "What if I don't take my father's inheritance to me, Attorney?" I asked just to get the full attention of the man sitting next to him.

"All the property will go to the Brilliantes clan, they will take care of everything to give it to people who need help and to orphanages," he explained to me. The second option is good because even if I don't get it, it will still go to good hands, the unfortunate and the people who really need help.

"Instead of benefiting others. Why don't you just accept it? Why don't you just follow what was written in your father's last will?" the man asked me one question after another. "You are the one who deserves to receive what your parents worked for," he added.

"That's right, Señorita," Attorney Franklin agreed.

"Why do I have to marry someone like you?" I asked too.

"That's what was stated in your Papa's last will," he just answered casually. Is it just out of him to marry a woman he doesn't even know?

"But isn't there another way besides me marrying her, attorney?" I asked again.

"Give me a child and you'll still be free in your life," he promised directly and both my cheeks warmed.

The other way is even worse if he asks for a child. What makes him think it's easy to get pregnant? The one who gave birth to the child? And so what? I give him a child? Is he joking?

"It doesn't seem to make any difference," I said sarcastically.

"There is. Your first option is to marry me and you will be with me until you grow old. Second option is to give me a child but you are still free in your life, that you can still marry another man or your boyfriend. What we can get as a donation is your last hold." I was stunned by my senses.

"I don't have a boyfriend," I promised and the corner of his lips rose.

"Just choose the first option then," he said. Whichever one I choose, I know that we will still have a child. Psh.

But if we do have a child and then we can't provide a complete family, don't do it. I would rather just donate to the orphanage. Our children grew up with divorced parents.

Wait a minute... Will be our child? Am I not surprised by what I am saying? It also appears that the two of us are already talking about our future. God...

"My parents just died, Attorney," I just excused myself.

"There's only one month's grace," he said as if I didn't have time to choose something that would be easier for me to do?

"The rain stopped. We're going home, Señorita. You still have one month to think about your father's last will," said Attorney Franklin. I nodded and stood up to lead them outside.

"Didn't you eat dinner here first, attorney?" I will ask.

"Thank you for the invitation, Señorita. But we also have to leave," he insisted and I looked at the man.

He just stared at me for a moment before following his companion. I didn't even get his name. He is a gentleman but he didn't even give me his name.

I took a deep breath and returned to the living room to drink my coffee. "Señorita, why don't you just agree to what your father wants?" asked Sister Lessa.

Sister Lessa, I know that she also needs to leave me to build her own family. A day will come when the people close to me will also disappear. Nothing is permanent in this world.

"I will think about that, Sister Lessa. Where did Papa get the idea that I would get married just so I could get my inheritance from them and Mama. He does have an option, but it's hard to do," I said with difficulty. I still got wet on my face.

"But Señorita, maybe Señor Nazareno is just thinking about your situation when your mother suddenly disappears. Maybe when they were alive you were really destined for that young man. He has a look, even though his facial expression is cold, I know you know that I see him as a good person. From his actions earlier, I know he can be trusted," he said just to make me fall into deep thought.

Is that really a good idea? Do I have to follow Papa's last will for me? Is this correct? To marry the man who wants to be with me forever?

"I will think about what is a good option, Ate Lessa. I still have a month left and I still have a lot of time. If only I could talk to Papa even in my dreams," I said and he caressed his arm.

"I know you have the ability to summon a soul, Señorita but please, don't," he said fearfully and I laughed out loud. The weight in my chest just disappeared suddenly.

"I was only joking, Sister Lessa. You will be too scared, eh," I said and stood up carrying my cup of coffee. "Let's just eat our dinner. I only ate bread earlier and I'm hungry," I said and he quickly followed.

"But admit it, Señorita. That young man is handsome, isn't he? I'm sure you two will have beautiful and handsome children." I smiled and gave him a look but in the end I just smiled.

"I admit that, Sister Lessa. He does look good and is also a gentleman."
