Chapter 7 Describe him, Maria

CHAPTER SEVEN

AUDREY'S POV

I was named after Audrey Hepburn. The pretty and fashionable one. I grew up, told that I actually looked like her. Weird, right?. I wanted to get like her when I was younger. Pretty, Rich, famous, Classy and kind. But I was 25 years old and I knew that was just a dream. I had bills to pay and I worked almost all day, I had no time for myself.

Now looking at the woman standing over me, I was tongue tied. THIS woman was who I wanted to be now. I'd give anything to have her life. She had the face of a vixen and the air of seduction around her.

Full wavy black hair, cat eye liner, blood red lips, high arched eyebrows, a jawline to die for, high cheekbones and beautiful olive skin. Mine had turned pale ever since that dreadful night. I wasn't taking care of myself anymore. This woman screamed wealth and affluence, luxury at its max. Black lace hand gloves, dior handbag and a lilac versace mini dress wearing black Jimmy choo stiletto heels.

"Hello miss, are you alright?" She said, snapping her well manicured fingers in front of me while studying me carefully.

"I haven't got all day, young lady, exit the road if you're in a drunk daze"

"It's too early for such intoxication" she said, attempting to get back into her car.

"I want to be you!" I rushed out hurriedly. Making her pause.

"Excuse me?" She said, halting her entrance into her car and turning her attention back to me.

I got up from the ground.

"Teach me everything you know, I wanna be like you" I said desperately trying not to cringe.

"That's it, I'm calling the cops, you're a psychopath"

"I was raped!" I told her hurriedly. And that made her pause.

"Missy, if this is a trick better know i'll have your head for messing with Vivianna Lee Dawn" she told me nearing me with each word

"I swear on my dead mother" I felt a tear drop.

My heart broke into a million pieces.

"What's your name?"

"Audrey ma'am, Audrey Maria Ray" I told her, holding back the tears.

"Hop in Maria, we've got work to do" she said with a sly smile. Putting her glasses back on.

She drove us to her company, VIVID ENTERPRISES, it was so beautiful there. I felt so awkward and out of place. They were all smartly dressed while I was in a worn out baby pink sundress.

Ms Vivianna walked like she owned not just the building but the whole world. She had an air of superiority. And I loved and wanted that.

They all bowed and greeted as she walked by.

She just acknowledged with a nod. Classic.

"Carry yourself Maria, nobody can do it for you except you" she said once we were in her private elevator

"I'm sorry" I whispered feeling embarrassed

"Don't apologize for everything" she retorted

DING!

She walked out and I followed her.

"Welcome Madam" said a young girl, who I figured was her secretary

"How do you do Miranda?" she responded as she continued strutting to her office.

"Very well madam, your husband is waiting in your office madam" miranda said professionally

Husband! She was married!!.

"Thank you"

Miranda bowed and left for her office. I am nervous now.

"I'll wait here ma'am" I told her. I didn't want to seem like the elephant in the room.

"Come with me Maria" she sounded bored

"My husband doesn't bite, at least not you," she added with a wink.

I blushed red.

"Babyyy" she squealed as soon as we walked into the office, and ran into the arms of a handsome man. I guess that was her husband.

"My love" he responded, looking at her affectionately.

I wanted something like this before but now all I wanted was revenge.

"I missed you" she whined out. I took notice of the fact that she was very different with her husband. It's like with him, she can let her guard down and be herself. That was sweet.

"I missed you more, more than you can comprehend" he said as he placed a kiss on her lips. She kissed him back and I had to look away.

"Who is she? ''. I turned my attention back to them now. She was sitting on his lap now with her arms around him. He was looking at me suspiciously.

"My protégé," she replied, smiling at him while he was looking at me intensely. I was feeling awkward already.

"What". He asked, looking confused as he looked between his wife and I. He must be thinking how ugly duckling would turn into a princess. I didn't blame him though. I looked like a mess. He should have seen me in my pretty days. I bet he would have a rethink.

"She needs my help darling, be nice. I think she's harmless" she said, elbowing his side.

"I'm Audrey Maria Ray sir" I introduced myself

"Christian Dawn, Vivianna's husband" he stretched out his hand for a handshake. All while giving me a scrutinizing gaze.

"Calm down tiger," Vivianna said laughing.

"Babe, I thought you'd get rid of this already" Vivianna whined touching his growing beard.

"I'm sorry sweetheart, I lost track of time at the party yesterday and I had a lot to drink, I'll do it tonight" he said rubbing her arms.

That drew my attention to his face and I froze. Facial hair, facial hair. I was having flashbacks right now. Was it him? I thought?... can't be, I'm just freaking out that's all.

"Fine!" she mumbled and I snapped out of it.

"Have a seat Maria, let's talk" she said, going from playful to serious in a second.

"Do you know the person who assaulted you, did you get his name or his face?"

"I don't know him ma'am" I felt ashamed

"Were you drunk at that time Audrey, don't lie to me" she said, looking me dead in the eyes

"No madam, I swear I wasn't, he was drunk and angry"

"Describe him for me Maria, what can you say about his appearance" she said going into detective mode.

I looked over to her husband who was watching our exchange closely. He seemed interested. Thankfully he didn't ask what happened to me, yet.

"It was dark at the park that night, so I couldn't make out a face. He was drunk, smelled like lavender, was angry, called me Freya multiple times and said I played him for a fool, he beat me up, violated me and- and he had facial hair ' I said, saying the last part slowly.
