Chapter 5 ♡✿ The clash! ✿♡

And Elio's eyes popped from its socket.

The blood from Irene's face dried up when she saw the huge mistake she had made. She immediately picked up her towel and wrapped herself with it.

Elio had already turned his back to her and shut his eyes tight..

"I am so sorry ma'am. I must have made a mistake. I must be in the wrong room. Please forgive me.." Elio said and rushed out immediately shutting the door behind him.

Irene furrowed her brows and wondered who he was, her faced immediately formed a frown of disappointment because the wrong person came in. She started dressing up while cûrsing the man that just intruded her privacy.

Elio exhaled deeply and wiped his eyes severally since he came out of the room. What he saw refused to leave his memory... The milky thiɠhs, smooth skin, sëxƴ cur̃ves..

"What is wrong with you Elio?? Get a hold of yourself!!" He yelled at his subconscious mind and slapped himself severally but the image wouldn't just disappear from his memory.

He went to his Raymond's room and sat on the available chair without saying anything and Raymond looked at him confusingly..

"What's on your mind? Lemme guess, she isn't ready yet??"

"Emm... Boss,, I think I went to the wrong room. I saw another lady, I'm not sure it's your secretary.."

"Irene isn't my secretary and who did you see? Describe her.." Raymond said and Elio's mind went back to the X-råted scene and he shook his head quickly..

"I.. I can't describe her.."

Immediately he said that, a knock was heard on the door.

The door slightly opened and she peeped before entering..

"Sir, please I'm really sorry,, I.." her tongue froze when she saw Elio. They both stared at each other and Irene began sweating profusely..

"Keep your apologies to yourself and get to work immediately!!" Raymond shouted and Irene immediately took the documents and started going through them but she didn't understand what to do.

She looked at Raymond who was engrossed in his calculations then at Elio who was trying to focus on his too.

"Emm.. about what you saw.." Irene paused and wiped the sweat off her forehead..

"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to... I'm sorry.." Elio whispered..

"It's not your fault. Let's just forget it.."

"Okay thanks for forgiving me. And about the documents, we found out that there are some.." and Elio explained the problem to Irene.

After some minutes of silence, Raymond raised his head from the documents and spoke..

"I need to see the finance committee members. Some rearrangements needs to be done coz it seems some people are beginning to slack off.." Raymond said and stood up.

Elio and Irene nodded and began packing up the documents.

Raymond's phone rang and he answered..

📲 Boss, regarding the new secretary

📲 Go on..

📲 I placed an online application just as you ordered..

📲 Hope you added the interview question?

📲 Yes boss. A number of fifteen people filled in the form but I'm only impressed with the answer of two persons, but..

📲 But what Daniel?

📲 But one is a married woman..

📲 Did the last-minute experience with Layla not teach you a lesson?

📲 Sorry boss. Should I forward the information of the other lady to you?

📲 No. I'm already occupied with a lot of work here. How's her CV?

📲 It's good but zero working experience with a good company. A degree in business management and finance. But her answer to the interview questions impressed me.

📲 If that's the case then send her an email stating our terms and conditions. And if she accepts it, then she starts work on Monday. I want things to be done before I return. Don't forget to brief her on the guidelines of her work.

📲 Okay boss. When will you be back?

📲 As soon as possible.

Raymond said and ended the call.

"We're done Sir.." Irene stated and they left the hotel.

"So you're just working as an intern?" Alicia asked

"Yeah, I still have to gain a lot of experience in programming and coding. It isn't an easy job.." Mira replied while typing some things on her laptop.

"I don't think it's that difficult. It's just to punch some keys on the keyboard and type create whatever you wanna create.." Alicia shrugged and drank from the glass of juice.

"🤦‍♀️You think it's as easy as modelling. You just gotta walk around and show off people's clothes and accessories and bend like a pregnant chicken on a stage..No offence!" Mira said and Alicia gasped and held her chest dramatically..

"Offence taken!!.."

"Oh my Gawdddd!!" Stephanie screamed and rushed to the living room with her phone..

"What happened??" Alicia and Mira asked at the same time..

"I got the job!!" Steph screamed happily and they shouted with joy.

Lina dropped her books and ran to her mom..

"You got accepted mummy?"

"Yes Angel. I just got an email which included their conditions and some rules and I accepted. I'm resuming this Monday.."

"Awwn I'm so happy for you baby girl.." Mira said and hugged Stephanie.

"Me too. And gosh, you're gonna be working with the hottest CEO in New York. You're so lucky.." Alicia gushed..

"Lucky? I just hope everything goes smoothly as I work there. This would be my first time working in such a huge company.." Steph said.

"There's always a first time for everything. I know you'll do great.." Mira said.

"So now that everyone's happy... Can we go for karaoke??? Pleaseeeee.." Lina asked with her hands clamped together..

"Okay fine... We'll go for karaoke tonight. Happy??" Steph smiled..

"Very happy.."

"I miss Leo.." Steph sighed..

"Me too.." Alicia said.

"Me three.." Mirabel said..

"Me four. He has totally forgotten about us.." Lina said.

"He must just be busy with work.." Stephanie said.

"Work for four years and still counting.." Alicia said.

"Well I don't know..."

"Let's just forget about that and watch a movie. We're all gonna resume work on Monday so let's use today and tomorrow to have some fun.." Mira said and switched on the TV.

**MONDAY MORNING🌤️**

📲 I'll be coming late. I need to go to the hospital first. I'm having a serious toothache

📲 So what about the new secretary you were supposed to brief?

📲 Oh goodness! I totally forgot about that. Please handle it for me.

📲 What if boss returns? Yunno he specifically said you should do it.

📲 C'mon man please. Just introduce her to people and show her her desk and I'll come brief her after seeing the doctor.

📲 Just hurry up Dan. We do not know when boss would arrive.

📲 Thanks man. And please, don't flir̃t with her!

Daniel said and hung up the call before Braxton could protest. He held his jaw and sighed. Since the day Raymond punched him, he's been having toothaches and it's getting worse.

"I would have seen the doctor that day just as that lady suggested.." he muttered and went into the shower.

Stephanie tightened her grip on her bag as she heard the comments from the employees. She just arrived and comments started popping out from different angles. The last comments made her feel uncomfortable..

"Why did they say they pity me? What's going on?" She asked herself.

She was directed to the fourth floor where she would meet someone named Mr Braxton who would give her some directions.

No doubt, the company was huge. She would usually pass by the company and be amazed at it's beauty, but never thought she would be an employee there.

She got into the elevator which was already filled with people going up too and stood in front of the group. Everyone in the elevator seemed to mind their own business. There were two men and three ladies including her, the ladies were focused on their phones while the men were in an indistinct conversation with each other.

Her mind was going through various directions then suddenly she felt a spank on her @ss..

"What the hêll!!" She exclaimed and turned back but everyone stared at her like she was crazy then returned to their business.

She narrowed her gaze to the two men who were behind her and clenched her fist.

It couldn't have been the women, it must be either of them.

She shifted to a side of the elevator away from the men and prepared to catch the culprit. Her phone then dinged with a text message from Mira..

★LINA IS ON HER WAY TO SCHOOL RIGHT NOW. DON'T WORRY ABOUT HER AND FOCUS ON YOUR NEW JOB. I'LL DROP HER AS I PROMISED BEFORE HEADING TO WORK★

Steph smiled and reading the message and replied.... ★THANK YOU SWEETIE★ and hit 'Send'

And then the hand spanked her @ss again. She balled her fists and slid her phone into her bag.

Turning to the back, she landed a deafening slap on one of the guys which echoed loudly in the elevator. The ladies gasped and stared at Stephanie in shock..

"That would teach you never to mess with a woman!!" Steph said and then the elevator stopped and the door opened.

She stormed out and the ladies held their mouths and began laughing.

**PRECIOUS KIDDIES ACADEMY**

"And be a good girl okay? Don't cause any trouble and always listen in class okay?"

"Okay Aunt Mira. And you're telling me all these like this is my first time going to school. I mean I'm in Elementary 3 Duhhh!!" Lina said and Mirabel laughed..

"I know but that doesn't change the fact that you're very unpredictable.."

"Yesss, that's because Angelina is a unique girl. You're lucky to be talking to a unique Angel like me, a lot of people are dƴing to talk to someone like me.." Angelina said and flicked her hair backwards..

"Shut up talkatïve.." Mira chuckled and rolled her eyes..

"Bye Val. Be a good girl okay?" A man said as his daughter walked into the school gate.

"Okay.."the girl replied blankly and kept on walking

"Naomi, won't you even bid Val goodbye?"the man asked the lady who was sitting beside him with her eyes into her phone while chewing gum loudly..

"She's not my daughter, so I don't care.." Naomi replied without sparing him a glance.

Mirabel looked closely at the man and she seemed to recognize him from somewhere. She kept looking closer and tried to remember where she had seen him..

"Lina baby, who's that little girl?"

"That's Valerie. She's been really sad for a really long time because she lost her mom about a month ago. She doesn't like talking to anyone, she's always alone.."

"She lost her mom? Then who's that with her Dad?"

"I believe that's her stepmom. It's obvious she really dislikes Valerie because whenever she comes with her Dad to drop her off, she just behaves like Valerie doesn't exist" Lina said and Mira just nodded and turned her gaze back to the duo in the car.

"Naomi, why do you like behaving like this? She's our daughter and you're her mother.." the man said softly and the lady flared up..

"What's your problem Dominic?? What's your fv*king problem?? How many times have I warned you to stop saying that little wïtch is my daughter?? She isn't my daughter and would never be my daughter!! Got it??"

"Naomi!! Watch what you say!!" Dominic half yelled and balled his fists..

"What are you gonna do?? Are you gonna hit me?? Huh?? Hit me Dominic!! Go ahead!! Hit me and give me scars so I would attend our wedding with a body full of scars!!" She challenged him..

Dominic exhaled and suppressed his anger. He ran his hands through his hair and ignited the engine then drove off.

"Dominic? Dominic? Where have I heard that name before?" Mirabel asked herself and scratched her head..

"Aunt Mira!! Down to earth!! I'm going in... Take care bye.." Lina said and ran into the school building.

And then the memories returned, Mira remembered where she had seen the man and her face turned pale..

"Oh no! It's Dominic, it's really him. I hope I never see him again.." Mira said with a quivering voice.

Stephanie kept on tapping her foot nervously while sitting on the chair. She had been waiting for the Mr Braxton for more than thirty minutes in his office and he hadn't arrived yet.

After wht it seemed like forever, the door opened and Stephanie exhaled before standing up and turning to the door.

Her eyes widened when she saw who it was..

"What are you doing here?? You want another slap, Don't you?" Stephanie glared at him and he smirked.

He shut the door and approached her..

"Aren't you waiting for Mr Braxton? Well, here I am!" He said and grabbed her arm..

"What!! Leave me!! Leave my arm!!"

"You had the guts to raise your hand on me!! I'll make sure you pay for this!! I'll make your job here a living niɠhtmare! I'm the closest to our boss and I'll make sure you get fired! Unless.." he paused and licked his lips.

"Do whatever you like!! I don't care!!" Stephanie snapped and tried to hit his face but he caught her fist and held her hands together..

"C'mon beautiful, why being so viõlent?" He asked and took in one of her bõōbs with his palms.

He just pushed the wrong button!!

She used her knee to hit him hardly in between his legs and landed another slap on his ear. Braxton could swêar he heard angels singing to him..

Steph immediately took her bag and ran out of the office angrily without looking where she was going..

"Where's Daniel?"

"He hasn't arrived yet Mr Brown.."

"What do you mean by he hasn't arrived yet?? Then who's with the new secretary?? How dare he come la.." Raymond's words were cut short as someone bumped into him hardly.

His cup of coffee spilled on him then fell and broke. The lady fell on top of him and they found themselves on the floor with spilled coffee on Raymond's shirt.

"Oh no.. I'm sor.."

"What!! You!! Is today curṣed!!"
