Chapter Five

The Tears

I don't know how many times I've been in bed. I've been playing with the light for a while now. If you press it twice or three times, the brightness of the lamp will increase. I stood up again and looked around my room. I don't even know how many times I've wandered around the whole house. This morning when I woke up, Rowin wasn't there. I was ahead of the home owner here.

I looked at the balcony when I suddenly heard the sound of a car. I saw Rowin get out of his car to open the gate. can he call me like that, right?

I don't know why I ran out of my room. He'll just yell at me when he sees me. I was about to go back inside my room when he suddenly entered and he looked up in the direction where I was.

"What are you doing and sleeping!" I was surprised when he suddenly shouted. What's that? I woke up even more.

"I-I mean go to sleep because we're going to walk a lot tomorrow." But I didn't hear anything and I just watched him climb up here.

"Why tomorrow?" My pronunciation is poor.

He stopped in front of his bedroom door and turned to me.

"Your life will be harder starting tomorrow" I don't know if what he gave was really an answer or a threat.

The next day I woke up early. I'm not sure if I can move here in the house with his things but isn't that the reason why he brought me here? To be his maid?

I cooked breakfast.

Actually, I was about to eat when I suddenly heard his upstairs door open. I saw him on the stairs while fixing his necktie. I think it's going to walk again.

"Eat first"

CRAZY!

I don't know why I said that. But he stopped in front of the dining table and walked towards me. I shouldn't have talked to him!

"We'll leave in 15 minutes. Hurry up and eat" he just said and pulled a chair and he sat there. I didn't expect him to touch the food I cooked.

"We're going to the house" I would have liked follow up questions but I guess he's not the type to entertain other questions. I might just get yelled at here.

I didn't think that the clothes I brought were only for the house. I think the 15 mins have already passed and maybe he is bored with me. I opened the Closet, there was expected to be women's clothes in there. Does he use it?

I took a floral pink dress. Maybe I'll borrow it instead of just wearing it for home, right?

when I got dressed, I immediately hurried downstairs. I think he has been impatient and annoyed with me for a while now. When I got close to him, he stared at what I was wearing..

"Why are you wearing that dress?"

"Huh?"

"I said, Why are you wearing that dress!!"

I backed away a bit when he yelled at me.

"W-I don't have any other clothes." He didn't answer and walked out.

Rowin didn't talk to me the whole flight. Their house is also quite far away. I don't understand why someone is so quick to get angry.

Lord, I don't know if I can live with this at home. I hope you will give me ten million to end my suffering with him.

I looked out the window as we entered a large Gate. It's like a palace. I think this house is bigger than the Mansion I lived in first. How rich is this guy?

"Good Day Sir Rowin". There were two maids who met her when Rowin got out of the Car. It's amazing to see the size of the house up close.

I was surprised when Rowin suddenly knocked on the window of his car so I immediately lowered the glass window.

"Are you going out or am I going to drag you?" I just struggled with it. I got out of the car and followed him inside. It went straight to the Kitchen while I left it in the living room.

the race of the whole house. It seems like everything here will be broken. I don't know if you can sit on their couch, If you look at it like a couch for sale, the displays in the mall are smooth. How many people does it take to clean this whole house?

"You can take a look a around" I was startled when I heard a voice. I looked up at the stairs. I saw a man who looked familiar approaching me.

"Lianne? Nice to meet you. I'm Rohan" He extended his hand but I just stared at it. Where have I seen him? Does he look familiar?

"I'm Rowin's twin brother. The older one" I was really stunned when I heard what he said. That's why he looks familiar because he also looks like Rowin. they have the same facial contours only there are parts that are actually better than Rowin- What am I saying?

"I didn't expect my brother to marry secretly. This Rowin is really too secretive." I heard him smile.

Is he married? But why is he bitter?

"Are you an agent too?" I asked him.

"Nope. I'm a business man. I'm managing our company. " this is what it is.

"If you don't mind can I show you around?"

There is a large room here where memorabilia of the Rowin family from their ancient grand parents are hidden. it can be put in a museum because the others are too old.

"I hope you are fine living with him" I just sighed and smiled at him. If only he knew.

"Rowin's still in pain. That's why. All he thought was to get revenge. He never learned." I frowned when he started talking. We looked at their pictures on display when they were young. They both looked alike when they were little.

Who is he taking revenge on? Is that why his eyes are so cold because his heart is full of anger?

"Rowin is an Agent at an Intelligence Agency"

I just nodded and waited for what he would say next.

"They go Undercover Mission. Rowin's fiance was in his team. Mia Navarro. My Ex Girlfriend." he sighed

My mouth closed when I heard the word 'Ex-Girlfriend' does it mean these twins used to be rivals?

"Mia and I broke up when we took college. That's where she and Rowin met. Because our fields are different and we didn't study together, she didn't know that Rowin was my brother. and we are not really on good terms. His relationship with Mia lasted longer. Before they left for Macau, that was their last mission together... he proposed. Mia died there while doing the Mission."

who would've imagined that someone like him is carrying such a burden. You can't really tell if someone is sad just by looking at them. I know how it feels to lose someone you love. But maybe his pain is different from mine.

"He watched her die right in front of him. he could not accept it so he tried to act on his own. He was dismissed after that"

Maybe that's why Rowin is so angry with the whole world. Sometimes the law couldn't protect everyone. So maybe there are people who are against it. I still don't know the whole story but, He must have been hurt a lot.

"And I know my brother didn't marry you because of love." He suddenly said. My eyes widened when he stared at me.

"What's his game this time? Does it benefit him if he marries you? and why did you use it? Do you love Rowin?"

I can't answer. Because I didn't know what he was talking about.

"Stop asking my Wife" We turned back and saw Rowin who had just entered

I drifted away when Rowin grabbed my hand and pulled me out

but that's not the important thing now!

Why did he call me Wife!? And what is Rohan asking me? I don't know what to think. And above all! What am I doing here at Rowin's house?

"Oh, you're already there. The food is ready. come sit down" No matter how uncomfortable I was, I just sat down as her Mama said because her smile was so wide when she saw me.

"Dad, Mom this is Lianne" Because they were smiling at me, I had no choice but to smile too. in fairness Rowin's Daddy looks young. And this is where the twins inherited

"I was talking to Rowin about having a Church Wedding, but he doesn't seem to want it, do you want it?" I think I froze in my seat at what his Mom said.

I looked at Rowin. but he still thinks badly of me. It's like he's saying 'Just get in if you don't want me to shoot you later!'

"Ah eh, He will take care of it" I said.

Good thing I love Dramas. from what I've seen when a man brings you to their house and they suddenly call you ija or ask you when did your relationship start, you should just get on board because that means he introduced you as his jowa

Rowin and I went home at night. Even during the whole flight, he didn't say a word. I was hoping for an explanation. But because he thinks of me as a servant, he would think that I don't deserve one.

"Just a moment" We were about to enter the house but I couldn't stop myself.

"What did you tell your parents and your brother?"

"You don't have to-"

"Are you going to say that I don't care because I'm just your slave?" I don't know where I got the courage to answer him. This might be the first time I talked back to him.

"I told them we're married. It was a quick decision. I arranged everything at the Mayor's office. I just need you to sign these papers. Then we are legally married" I did not accept the paper envelope he was giving me

"Why? What reason?"

"I'm hurting a woman Lianne" I was suddenly terrified when I felt fear in the voice he let out. That's right, I won't ask anymore.

"But, to stop you from thinking it seriously" He immediately turned to me. I was going to back off but it turned out that I was behind a wall.

"I just used you as my cover. So don't screw it up. do you understand I'm just using you. I would never go serious about this."

I know that it was supposed to be the answer in the first place. first of all we don't do anything. and if my father betrayed him then I am on his Enemy list. It's only natural that it makes me angry.

But I was confused on why would he keep me around? I still understand if he sent me away. but if I want to go back to my old life, I have to endure his power first. Maybe, he will set me free when the time comes. Some part of me believes that Rowin is not entirely bad.
