"What do you think you're doing... hahahaha!" the guy screamed, expecting the guy sitting beside him to intervene. However, the guy just watched the scene unfold, seemingly enjoying the spectacle.
Anne quickly stood up and rushed to Carol's side. She pulled her away from the guy, bowing her head and pleading, "We're sorry, please spare us." Anne then grabbed their bags and swiftly exited the restaurant.
"Who the hell is she?" the guy whose nose Carol had squeezed earlier shouted, turning to the boy beside him. "Why aren't you doing anything? Did you enjoy how she pinched my nose??? She nearly ripped it off!" he exclaimed, still holding his nose.
"You told me not to meddle with the matter... remember?" the second guy asked, causing the first guy to inhale loudly.
"Did you want me to lock you up?" the first guy retorted.
"No, Your Majesty," the second guy replied, bowing his head.
"Haa... the hell!" the first guy exclaimed angrily.
Anne dragged Carol roughly until they were outside the restaurant.
"Why are you dragging me?" Carol finally managed to say, breathing heavily.
"He is the crown prince of Fujiang village," Anne explained, pulling out a book. It contained photos of the crown prince, and she opened it to a specific page to show Carol.
Carol snatched the book from her and looked at the pictures. Her eyes widened threefold when she saw the images of the guy whose nose she had pinched earlier. "He is the second crown prince of King Marshal, the current king of Fujiang," Carol said, astonished. Anne nodded in agreement.
"I'm doomed... What if he finds me and kills me? What if he turns me into a slave in the palace?" Carol panicked, holding Anne's hand. "What if he finds both of us and kills us at once?" Carol continued, sitting on the floor.
"We're doomed," Anne added, sharing Carol's concern.
Carol quickly gathered herself and took her bag from Anne. "Let's go now, let's run away from him so he won't be able to find us," Carol suggested.
"Yes, once we enter Lucifer's chamber, he won't be able to find us," Anne said cheerfully, and they both laughed.
"We don't even know which village we're in," Anne pointed out, looking around. Luckily, they spotted someone passing by, and Anne quickly ran toward her, with Carol following closely behind.
Anne approached the passenger and grabbed her shoulder, asking hurriedly, "Excuse me, what's the name of this village?"
The passenger, clearly irritated, responded, "Where are your manners? Anyway, this is Tingyang Village," before walking away.
Anne and Carol stood frozen for a moment, trying to remember the name Tingyang.
"Wait... Tingyang Village... the third village from ours!" Carol exclaimed, and Anne dropped to her knees.
"Carol," Anne called out, lost in thought, and Carol joined her on the ground. "Who told you to use your powers?" Anne asked, staring into space.
"I don't know," Carol replied, her voice on the verge of tears.
"So we're in Tingyang Village now? Our journey just got more complicated, right?" Anne asked, and Carol nodded.
"Who told you to use your powers in the first place? Just who?" Anne lamented, raining slaps on Carol's body.
"I have no idea," Carol said, standing up. "Should I use my powers again? Maybe it will help us this time," she suggested, but Anne quickly intervened.
"Are you crazy? Teleport again? Which village would you go to now? Poung Village or Tiang? Let's just start walking. We'll reach our destination before sunset," Anne said firmly, starting to walk away.
"I'm sorry," Carol murmured, running to catch up with Anne.
*Lucifer chamber*
Lucifer was sitting on his bed, completely absorbed in the book in his hands. His charm was beyond measure, just a slight raise of his eyebrow could leave you mesmerized by his captivating allure. No one, absolutely no one, could pass by him without being enchanted by his irresistible beauty.
"Master, the chosen one is here," his personal assistant Oscar announced, standing behind the door.
"Let her in," Lucifer replied, his gaze still fixed on the book without lifting his head.
The creaking sound of the wooden door filled the room as Oscar made way for Frida, dressed in her favorite color, red. She entered with her maid Lisa, who stood by the door alongside Oscar. Frida approached Lucifer and respectfully bowed her head, seeking his acknowledgment.
Lucifer's eyes remained fixed on the book in his hand, not even sparing a glance at Frida.
"That's just how he is," Frida thought to herself, quietly taking a seat. "Lucifer, I'm here," she said softly, her voice sounding somewhat muffled to Lucifer's ears.
Since he got married to Frida, he hasn't spared her a single glance. Maybe it's because he's been alive for over 6,000 years that he finds it hard to fall in love.
"I've told you several times not to refer to me as Lucifer..." Lucifer said, flipping the book to another page.
"Then what should I call you? Should I call you master?" Frida complained, her face filled with frustration. Ever since she married Lucifer and moved into his chamber, she had been trying her best to seduce and capture his attention. But all her attempts had failed. No matter how sexy she dressed, Lucifer never even looked at her. It was slowly draining her, and she couldn't bear it anymore.
"You can call me master if you feel comfortable with it... but," Lucifer said, setting the book down. "Stop calling me Lucifer." He stood up abruptly. "If you're done with your conversation, then I'll excuse myself." Without waiting for her reply, he stormed out of the room.
"Frida couldn't hold back her tears as she tried to utter, 'Lucifer... Lucifer...'. Lisa swiftly rushed to her side, embracing her tightly.
'Please stop crying, your highness,' Lisa pleaded.
'I feel like he's treating me like garbage... like I mean nothing to him,' Frida sobbed loudly.
'Don't say that. Just give him some time, and he'll surely notice and appreciate you,' Lisa reassured her.
'I really hope so,' Frida sniffled, her tears flowing even more.
