Chapter 2

"Did you just?" he asked and I nodded.

"For you," I said and smiled at him then ruffled his hair.

"Did you like the food I prepared?" I asked and let go of his grip and walked towards the dining area.

W-wow. He ate what I cooked.

I immediately took out my list from my pocket and wrote.

Fettuccine Alfredo

I smiled because finally! He also liked someone.

"It's different!" I said and looked at Adam walking towards me.

"I'll pay you," he said when he got close to me.

"Okay, if that's what you want," he said and walked away.

I sighed and just stared at the pot in front of me. After all, it's a waste of work. But if I have a job, I can't focus on him Mr. and Mrs. Ross is the reason I'm here and almost everything I use comes from their money.

I just hope their relatives don't call me gold dïggër. I don't want them to gossip about Adam. I can't destroy his image.

I just blew some air before starting to cook, I thought of cooking carbonara. He might like it.

I wiped my sweat when I finished cooking and immediately fixed the tray and put the food there.

I walked towards Adam's office, but stopped when I heard someone talking.

"No. I want to stay here," I heard Adam say "Shut up. I didn't hurt her," he said.

I finally entered and found Adam sniffing the candle while looking at his papers.

Oh, I'm out of there. I'm here for the food "Maybe you want more, just a little bit of Fettuccine Alfredo, can you try it?" I said and he looked up at me and I smiled I sat on the sofa near him and placed the tray on his side.

He took the fork and tasted the carbonara. I was waiting for his reaction and I was happy when he ate again.

Success! Little by little I will know what he doesn't like and what he likes.

What food should I make him taste?

Adam is not here at home today and it looks like he really only had free time yesterday.

I was currently in the living room watching TV when I saw Adam's face. He was among the important people who attended the opening of an art gallery.

I was still asleep when he left so I didn't know where he was going. I smiled while looking at the TV because Adam is still handsome on TV, just more handsome in person.

That was the agreement made by Mrs. Ross. But they say it's better that we love each other but it seems vague that that will happen especially since sometimes I feel like the girl on TV. He doesn't talk to her and prefers to be alone more often.

I just watched silently when I saw that Adam seemed uncomfortable in his place. There was a woman behind him and to his side, he didn't seem to be used to it.

I observed that carefully and saw that a man in black approached Adam and they left that place and now Adam is with his fellow men.

Adam gave a short speech before going to his chair and sitting there. He suddenly took out his cell phone and as if to call someone, the cameras were focused on him and the other billionaires.

I was surprised when the phone suddenly rang at home because I don't have a cellphone so I quickly went to it and answered it immediately.

"Hello, who's this?" I answered the call and took the phone and sat on the sofa again and watched Adam.

"It's me," said the person on the other line, who turned out to be Adam.

"I'm not going anywhere," I told the truth and saw him nod, because I was watching him on TV.

"Ba-bye too. Be careful," I said and I answered the call myself and I saw that he had put his cellphone back in his pants pocket.

I sighed and put the phone back where it was and turned on the TV channel.

When I didn't want to watch it, I turned it off and just leaned on the sofa.

"What should I do? I almost cleaned the whole house," I said because we don't have a maid because Adam doesn't want that.

I gasped and just as I stood up, the doorbell suddenly rang.

I opened the door of the house and saw a man in black walking towards the gate "We are not enemies!" shouted a woman "I'm Nulan's girlfriend,"

"We can't enter until" they interrupted the man.

I've heard them from here and I'm a little nervous because Adam has a visitor? I'm not prepared and especially Adam is not here now.

"And I'm Hanabi," they said one after the other which made me smile and they smiled back at me.

Suddenly, they pulled me to the dining area because they brought food that they had made themselves.

"We brought you here on purpose because Adam is not there, you know that one, always angry and cold. I think it was conceived in ice," Jai said, making me laugh a little.

"Not at all," I defended Adam and he raised an eyebrow at me.

"We will really be friends," said Jai and the three girls laughed.

Friends? Will the four of them be my friends?

Jai, Carmilla, Floryn and Hanabi didn't stay at home for long because their boyfriends wives sent them home.

"Welcome Home," I greeted Adam as I always do whenever he comes from outside.

"Have you eaten?" I asked and he nodded and just stood looking at me.

Does he have a problem that he can't tell? I just shrugged my shoulders and went to where I was supposed to go then went back down to eat. I'm also quite hungry.

When I came down, Adam was not in the living room. where is he?

I looked at his office and went there but he wasn't there either.

I went to the dining area near the sliding door that when you open you can see the garden there. The sliding door was open and I saw Adam looking down and talking to a man in black who had a very large body.

I was surprised when suddenly another man came and was panting.

I went back to the dining area and watched them from a distance.

I took the orange juice from the fridge and removed the lid when I cooked it and started eating.

"Thank you," I said and smiled at him, while he just looked at me and suddenly got a taste and looked away.

When the movie we were watching ended, I was sleepy and went upstairs, while Adam went into the bathroom to take a shower because he had rested.

I was about to lie down on the sofa when the door of the CR suddenly opened and it spat out Adam who was already asleep.

"Sleep on the bed," he said but I shook my head.

"I'm used to sleeping here," I said and lay down, but Adam insisted that I stay there because I'm a girl and I can sleep better there. I have nothing against him so I just lie down.

"Now, sleep," he said, which is why I just gasped for air and closed my eyes.

I felt him lie down too but we were far from each other because the bed was big. I'm not a naughty sleeper so it's okay A few minutes later I fell asleep.

I was distracted because I heard a voice and when I opened my eyes I saw Adam talking on the phone and standing.
