Chapter 5 Faith's POV:

The morning has caught up with me. My head hurts because of sleepiness, hunger, and tiredness.

Hey, I wish I was still in school and studying. I can't do anything anymore. I entered a world and situation that I never thought would happen to me.

I stopped for a moment when I saw an apple tree. I climbed to the top of the tree to get some fruit. I'm hungry, I need to eat too. I need to get stronger.

I picked one and patted the apple. Will I still be picky? I'm going to die of hunger.

I was enjoying the food when I saw a woman in the distance. I suddenly broke into a cold sweat and took a bite of almost half the apple I was eating. I almost choke, dang it.

I almost fell when I slowly moved a branch behind this tree. Why am I such a wimp?

I looked at the woman in the distance and saw that she was staring at me. Jusmiyo Faith, let's go!

"Wahh!" I screamed.

I screamed in shock when she suddenly threw a sharp branch at me, almost hitting me in the forehead.

"Come here!" She shouted.

She ran towards the tree where I was. My nervousness has reached the sky.

Because of the adrenaline rush I was able to jump the tree without falling and tripping. I ran as soon as I stepped on the ground. I didn't know I knew how to parkour!

"You can't chase me anymore!" I shouted arrogantly when I noticed that I was far away from her.

I was surprised when she suddenly slid to the ground and kicked my leg. I fell on the dry leaves and she immediately took me down. What the hell is that, Faith!

I can't move because apart from her being on top of me, my leg hurts from her kick and my ass hurts like hell. Looks like I was wrong in my bragging earlier.

"Don't be so arrogant. I'm a soldier so you can't do anything to fight, girl. Do you have any last wishes before I end your life?" She asked with a smile.

Damn, maybe next time I'll meet a serial killer. It's just that if there's more to come.

"Sister, can't we talk about this? Have mercy." I asked.

"I'm sorry, I just want to get out of here too!" She screamed and was about to hit me on the head with a rock when I stumbled and pushed her.

I was on top of her and punched her hard in the face. What is her ability?

I was about to punch her in the face again when she grabbed my fist. Oh gosh, she's strong!

"You are nothing with my enhanced senses." She said arrogantly and reversed our position again.

"You're going to die!" She screamed and choked me.

I couldn't breathe anymore because apart from being older than me, she was stronger. I thought of a plan, because her senses are enhanced, her hearing is also sensitive. Good thing my brain is working now!

I scratched my fingernail against the tree above my head. It made an irritating noise so I took a chance and climbed on top of her immediately.

I didn't waste any more time. I took the stone she was supposed to hit on my head and that's what I hit her with.

I beat her three times until I could no longer feel her breathing. I just closed my eyes and calmed down. Her splashed blood was still dripping on my face. I shook it and wiped it with my two hands.

I cried and left on top of what I had killed and sat on the side. I did a sign of the cross, I'm so bad. I never thought I could endure killing somebody. But here I am now, staring at the woman I killed.

I stood up and looked at her body. Little by little, the black smoke engulfed her until the body disappeared.

"Goodbye sister, I'm sorry." I only said sadly.

I was walking quietly when I heard a rustling. I stopped for a moment and felt the surroundings. I must always be alert to the enemies.

I heard the rustling again on the left side so I immediately took a sharp branch and went to it.

"Got you!" I screamed but I was surprised by what I saw.

"S-Sister please, don't hurt me." A boy who looked to be only 11 years old told me.

I noticed that the mark on my wrist lit up. It's a good thing we're in the same group, he still looks scared. It's funny because this child survived even though I rarely see children anymore.

"Oh, you poor little boy. It's a good thing we're in the same group, don't worry you're with me." I told him to ease what he was feeling.

"T-Thank you, sister. I-I'm Paulo." He said softly between sobs.

"I am Faith. Have you eaten yet?" I asked and wiped the tears from his cheeks.

"Not yet. I'm very hungry." Paulo replied.

I helped him stand up and we both walked to find something to eat. I saw a banana tree, fortunately the tree was low so I was able to pick it.

We both picked ten pieces and ate quietly under the tree. I just smiled while looking at Paulo. I'm glad I found a group mate.

"Sister, did you also meet those bad guys earlier?" Paulo asked me while eating.

"Yes, I met someone earlier before I saw you. How about you? Did someone hurt you?" I asked and pinched his cheek.

Why did they put such a cute child here? At this age, he should also be studying, not practicing death.

"Yes sister, I met someone. First was the bad guy but he was killed by Sister Trinity, the one I also met earlier. She was nice, she helped me." My eyes widened at what Paulo said.

"Tell me, where is Trinity? Is she a small, curly, beautiful woman? Did the mark on your wrist light up when you met?" I asked Paulo one after another.

"Yes, she is beautiful just like your description. It's just that the mark on my wrist didn't light up." Paulo explained.

What now? Trinity and I are not in the same team. I don't want us to end up killing each other, I can't.

Trinity said, don't give in to emotions. I can do it, I have confidence in myself. Trinity and I can get out alive. I know there is always hope.

"Sister, come here!" Paulo shouted and suddenly hugged me.

Someone flew an arrow in our direction so I was surprised when Paulo suddenly hugged me. I thought Paulo would be hit but we were surrounded by a force field, that's his ability.

"Well, you're a good boy."
