"Where are we?" I asked my two companions.

"I don't know either. There are so many of us here- look at that!" Xian shouted.

Xian suddenly shouted so Trinity and I looked at what he was pointing at. We looked up at the sky.

"W-what's that?" Trinity stuttered.

Seven different colors came down from the sky. Little by little the lights mold people until we can see their true form.

Am I dreaming? Is what is happening really true? Maybe I was being played by a fairy and dwarves?

"D-demons." I stuttered with utter confusion.

Is this really happening? I rubbed my eyes but nothing changed. It is true!

"Greetings from us participants!" A woman from them shouted.

"We are The Sinners. I am happy to see the faces of the official participants." T-That voice.

"Faith, it's Ms. Ruller." Trinity said.

Trinity and I couldn't believe what we were seeing. It was like cold water was poured in my thoughts.

Is she the one who sent the letter to me and Trinity? Could she have taught about the borrowers because she knew we were involved? How did that happen?

"T-Then are we dead?" I asked.

"Most of you are probably wondering why you are here. You are borrowers, beings who have lent or borrowed souls from demons. Since we own you, we can do anything to any of you." Ms. Ruller said with a smile.

"That's what Ms. Ruller taught us yesterday, right? How did that happen?" I asked.

"I don't know, Faith. Only our parents can answer." Trinity replied to me.

We looked at each other sadly and held hands. I'm sick of revelations. Is there anything more intense?

"Sometimes the children of the devil or our children who are in the Human Realm, the world of mortals, are included in this game. If we have children here in the game, prove that you are strong. We will welcome you to our world." Last said Ms. Ruller before the sky darkens.

"All of you, we will lend you power. Look at your pulse, there will be a mark." Sh explained again.

I raised my wrist to check the mark that would appear. I stroked my pulse until little by little a symbol appeared. It's a scorpion. What does this mean?

"What came out of you Trinity?" I will ask.

"Mine's snake. How about you Xian?" Trinity asked.

"Mine is a bear." Xian replied.

"Is this really happening? I can't believe that my life is just a loan and that mom made a deal with the devil. She raised me to fear God and not commit sin, it turns out that she is the sinner." I said sadly.

"Let's not give in to emotions. We have to get out of here, we can't do anything because they have us by the neck, Faith. Let's be strong and be brave for ourselves." Trinity said.

"Another thing they are demons, they have no mercy." Xian added.

I feel like I'm in a movie show right now. I never thought I would see the likes of them. I thought you could only see demons in hell. I don't know, I've been getting along with them.

People around were also crying. We all want only one thing, to get out of here alive. Nothing could have gotten worse than this, I don't know what to do.

"My dear slaves, listen to me. You all have marks, right? Those marks, the marks represent whose demons you have interacted with. Scorpion for King Asmodeus, Boar for Lady Beelzebub, Fox for Lady Mammon, Bear for King Belphegor, Dragon for King Satan, Snake for Lady Leviathan and Lion for King Lucifer." Explanation of Ms. Ruller.

"I can't believe this, mom made a deal with Leviathan? Oh my God. How did this happen? I can't believe it." Trinity said in disbelief.

I didn't talk anymore because my mark is embarrassing. I studied the Seven Deadly Sins, shame on mother because she reconciled with Asmodeus.

Not that I like other demons, but Asmodeus is really the one I hate the most in the Seven Deadly Sins.

"Okay, attention everyone! I will explain. Each symbol represents a borrowed power." Introduction of Leviathan.

We were all surprised when suddenly letters made of fire floated in the air. I looked at Satan, he is the creator of fire.

It's amazing even if it's scary. They are like magicians with magic. But the truth is, they are demons with harmful powers.

If you look closely at them, even though they have wings and horns they are still beautiful creatures. Leviathan's body is also beautifully shaped, while Satan's is muscular.

I got used to looking at the silent demon at the end. He was the only one without horns among them all. He is also very handsome.

He is Lucifer. The fallen angel.

"As you can see the associated power is placed opposite the symbols." Leviathan explained again so I went back to my senses.

The letters floated in the sky so we could see them better. I looked for my symbol, I hope what I get will help me.

Lion - Pain Tolerance

Snake - Enhanced Senses

Dragon - Heat Generation

Bear - Creation of Force Fields

Fox - Healing

Boar - Telepathy

Scorpion - Power of Illusion

"How can I use mine, Trinity?" I asked Trinity who was still stunned.

Illusions? Does that mean I can trick the enemy? I can use it, but I don't know how. I would be happy because I have the power, but I seem to know where to use it. I'd rather give it back if I will use it to hurt someone else.

"I don't know either, Faith. I got enhanced senses, huh." Trinity replied.

I looked around. Most of us range in age from 15 to 30. It's sad to think that the children and the elderly like Grandma Ching were the first to disappear.

We are also in the open field now. The Sinners floated in the air so we barely looked up at them. Our companions were also making a little noise and whispering.

I'm getting nervous, something bad is sure to happen even though I wish it wouldn't.

"Silence! Now that you've seen it, we don't have a problem with how you use it. My only advice is, use your ability to survive. Don't be cowardly and weak."

Leviathan's voice roared with power. Her voice is also scary even though she is a woman. She seems to swallow people alive..

"Everyone listen. We will divide you, 7 members each team. There are a total of 70 teams that will compete, and only one team can win. The Pawn Games has seven stages, each symbolizing the seven deadly sins ." Leviathan explained.

"The members of each team will have different abilities. You can use the power of your teammates as an offense or defense." He added.

"Faith, I can't handle it if we don't team up. I can't kill a friend." Trinity said sobbing.

"I too, Trinity, whether it's a friend or even a stranger, I don't want to kill. It's against the law, especially against God." I said sadly.

I want to cry, wail, and wail but I shouldn't allow my cowardice to happen. I have to be strong, I have to survive. I need to escape from this evil world.

"This is the rule of the game, everyone listen. First rule, you are not allowed to kill or hurt your group mates. Second, if any of your group mates die, whether you are six or two in the group, you will proceed in the game with the members left and your fallen member will not be replaced. And lastly , you have to kill the opposing team depending on the mechanics of the game. No one will stop you even if you report to the police, we have you by the neck." Leviathan explained before they all disappeared.

"Wait, where are they? What's this? We're all going to kill each other?" I asked Trinity.

"Look!" Suddenly, someone shouted and everything was in chaos.

The people had already run so I lost sight of Trinity and Xian. There was black smoke around so I ran too. What luck!

"Trinity! Xian! Where are you guys!" I shouted while running with the crowd.

"Ahh help!"

I looked behind me to see a woman slowly engulfed in smoke. She didn't get out after being eaten up by the smoke so my eyes widened.

I quickly ran away from the smoke. I heard people crying, screaming, and asking for help. We are all scared now and want to save our lives.

"Ouch!" I whined.

Suddenly I tripped because of a protruding branch so I couldn't stand up right away. I tried to stand up but my leg felt numb.

I felt something cold gradually enveloping my body. It was too late when I turned around because black smoke engulfed me and everything went blank.

"O-Ouch."

I woke up on the floor. My head hurts and feels like it's being squeezed.

I looked around. I'm still in the forest, but in a more remote part. I'm dressed differently, I'm wearing an all-black outfit. I'm like a spy in a Hollywood movie.

When my headache was gone I slowly stood up. I feel the surroundings, I'm alone here.

"Attention participants, the first stage of the game is about to begin. Stage 1: Find Your Mates." Leviathan announced, I still don't know where her voice is coming from.

"Be wrathful participants. Take revenge on your friends who died. Get your anger out of your chest and let it take over you." Leviathan added.

"Tsk, you are poisoning our brains to follow your wishes." I whispered softly.

"In this stage, you have to find your team members. The symbol on your wristwatch will light up when you are facing a teammate. I repeat, it is forbidden to kill a teammate. Once you kill your own teammate, you will burn to ashes."

I was horrified by what Leviathan said. How is this? I can't endure killing someone, I hope I can get through the conversation when I face someone. My hands are shaking.

"Once again, welcome to the Pawn Games, participants. Let the game begin." Leviathan said last before her voice disappeared.

It will begin. What will I do?
