Chapter 7 Hiding Or treating

Angel's POV

It had been three days since Gabriel had passed out in the woods. Slade was so angry that day that she took over the dominance of my body killing all the Rogues until Kayden arrived and could barely contain her.

I've been the one taking care of Gabriel for the last three days.

Looking at the person lying on the bed, I had a moment of hesitation. Was I being too cruel to him?

"You lied to us Angel! You ugly bitch!"

These days, Danna was waiting outside, using everything she could to try to break in. She succeeded this time.

"Who gave you permission to talk to me in that way?" I didn't deny it, turning my eyes away from Gabriel.

Danna pointed her finger at me.

"Angel! Get away from Gabriel! How dare you go so close to him?"

I just laughed softly, "Why shouldn't I get close to him? You know, I'm his mate. Not you."

"Gabriel doesn't want a mate like you! Don't you remember, you got your parents killed, made your brother hate you, and you, didn't have a wolf until you were eighteen! You don't deserve to be Gabriel's mate at all!"

"It's not up to you."I stand up and thought that whether I should kill her before Gabriel woke up.

Danna had no idea what was going through my mind as she became increasingly angry.

"It's me that Gabriel wants! So what if you've loved him since you were a kid? When he came inside of me, nobody cares where you are! Those dirty love in your inner heart, ONLY in your pathetic dreams it will come true!"

"Get out!" a voice sounded from behind me.

We both turned back to find that Gabriel had already woken up.

Kayden was right, I do get angry easily. I'd been taking care of this man for three days and all I'd gotten in return was a "Get out."

Danna bumped my shoulder and ran over to him happily.

"Gabriel, how are you doing?"

"Not you, Angel! Danna, get out!"

To see Danna's shocked expression, I stopped and looked over at her with a smile.

"Why me?" Danna tried to pull Gabriel, she didn't want to leave.

"I said, get out!" He said angrily. Danna was scared and quickly left.

He looked at me and our eyes met. He calls me 'Angel' just now.

I don't know how much he heard, but he did save Danna again, for I was going to kill her in a few seconds.

" You're Angel?" Gabriel got astonished. He still didn't quite believe it.

Gabriel moved a bit . His injury was in his back, and when he tried to sit up, I had to go help him out.

"Even though you realize it now, it won't make me change my mind and go back to the Moon Crescent Pack with you."

"Your brother has been looking for you for the past two years!"

"Are you blaming me?"

I really wanted to ask, "What about you? And have you been looking for me for the past two years?"

But I didn't.

"No, I just want you to tell your brother you are still alive. He misses you so much." Gabriel stared at my face for a long time again, and finally, he accepted the fact.

I tried my best to find something in his eyes, but I failed.

My brother and Gabriel were good friends, and I used to sneak behind my brother to meet him. He may have already lost his memory of what I was like.

"Danna said you liked me when you were a kid. Is that true, too?" Gabriel's voice was full of anticipation.

I forced myself not to look at Gabriel's eyes, "It's true. But like you said, that was when I was a kid. I don't like you now."

Gabriel grabbed my wrist, "I don't believe you!"

Then, he realized something.

"Wait! I remember that you and your wolf were weak two years ago. I can hardly feel you at that time. But you are very powerful now, and I can sense that the wolf inside you possesses very great power. So for all these years, you have been hiding your strength from us?"

Hiding? Or treating?

The image from two years ago reappeared in my mind and I took a step back.

"What do you mean? Are you accusing me to say I've been lying to you? You might be disappointed, I was a weak, ugly girl two years ago. You're the one who said I wasn't worthy of being in your pack, you're the one who said I wasn't worthy of being your mate, you're the one who told me to leave! It's you rejected me first!"

Gabriel's face turned gray. Was he recalling the day two years ago when he first sensed his mate?

I was stopped by Danna and her friends that day, and Gabriel said these hurtful words not far from me.

"I'm sorry, Angel. I didn't know you were around at that time."

"You're just sorry I was around? What you should be sorry for is what you said! I left my home because of you, I was out there and almost killed by Rogues, and it was Kayden who saved me! In my heart, he's much more important than you!"

After saying this, I rushed out. I saw Danna still standing in the doorway. She was waiting for me.

I was in a bad mood, and Danna would always have the ability to make my mood worse.
