Chapter 4 How dare you flirt with me......

Chapter 4 ~ Valerie's POV

While I was still seated to feel more relaxed, suddenly the landline in my office rang, so I responded to it by placing the receiver on my left ear, I said, "Hello, this is Valerie Skye, how may I be of help to you,"

"Hello Valerie, please come to the conference room," the voice said.

"Okay sir," I answered, as I heard it was Mr blaze's voice.

In haste, I left my office for the conference room, and upon reaching there, I found him and Dante standing side by side with a few people still there.

Approaching them, Mr. Blaze saw me from a distance, as he yelled "Yes Valerie, I want you to do something for me,"

"Alright sir," I said to him in a soft tone as he is still my boss.

"Please can you show my son, I mean your new boss around, and finally to his office," He requested?

And so he continued, "It's been a long time since he has come around as he had spent so much time in London which would make him a bit unfamiliar with some things, But it makes me so happy he has decided to settle down with my business here in Seattle,"

"It's not a problem, sir," I agreed without a visible freight.

So I said, "Come on Mr Dante," and with that, he nodded as we both left the conference room leaving his father and a few people still in it.

After a few hours in the office and a general introduction to the rest of the employees in the company, we headed to his given office.

Entering his office, I opened up the curtains in the office to bring in a morning glow. With that, I began showing him the necessary position where everything he would need was kept.

While doing it, I wore a strictly professional-infused look on my face giving him no chance to communicate.

But who am I even kidding, he moved close to me slightly touching my waist.

Instantly I moved far from him, prompting my speech, "What are you doing?" I said.

"What does it seem like?" He responded.

"Please I don't do such," I warned him with a face frown.

Giving a sinister scoff, he said, "Why are you acting like I am a disease, at least we had sex last night, and trust me when I say, I know every part of your body,"

I felt disgusted by his utterance I nearly slapped him but in remembrance of him being my boss, I held back my reaction.

"Please give me the respect I deserve, SIR, whatever happened between us last night was a mistake and I wouldn't have allowed it to happen if I knew you were my boss's son," I explained to him.

But Dante was still hell-bent on acting like an asshole he eventually turned out to be.

"You have to listen to anything I say, Valerie, I am now your boss as fate wants it to be and the lifeline of your job here is now buried in my grip, so you have no choice but to do as I say and if I say I want to have such time we had last night then you must comply because there is nothing you can do about it," he threatened.

But I stood my ground as I made him know I was not to be messed with.

"Listen, Dante, I know you are wealthy, and so is your father but understand this I am not some random girl you can use your status and power to scare, I can choose to respond to you, likewise I can choose to ignore you, I have that stronghold on myself that no one, I mean no one can falter, so let it sink into your head, do not mess with Valerie," I said to him.

As I said those words to him, I saw the stunned look in his eyes as he never expected such a response from me.

And so, I uttered, switching back to my professional countenance, "I will take my leave now Mr. Dante,"

Leaving his office, I took a deep breath realizing the tension I was in and suddenly I experienced a newfound courage within as I lost all fear I felt for him.

So, I walked into my office, continuing my day as I was now in a more relaxing mood.

Later in the evening, as I finished all my work, I cleared off my desk and prepared to go home.

Existing the office, I stood outside the building waiting for a taxi waving my goodbyes to my colleagues.

Suddenly I saw a car with black tinted windows parked in front of me, I was furious because he was almost reaching where I stood, so I blotted out, "Are you crazy, don't you have eyes to see there is a human standing here," I said.

And so, I saw the window at the back seat being rolled down, only for me to see it was no one but Dante.

"Will my day ever get peaceful," I murmured silently.

"Good evening Valerie, would you let me drive you home?" He said to me as he tilted his face towards me.

"No, thank you, I don't need favors from a rich brat, I am good on my own like I have always been, so drive along perhaps you would meet your next prey along the road," I told him.

"Come on Valerie, let's have a fresh start," he said.

"Please can you just go already," I pleaded, joining my hands together.

But he still refused to leave so l took the initiative and walked away instead.

After two hours of searching for a taxi to take me home, eventually, I got a taxi and so I entered relaxing all my nerves on the seat.

A few minutes into the drive, I reached home, and I must confess it was a pleasant feeling getting home.

Entering into my apartment, I swiftly rewind off my day as I later sat down on my couch to eat my dinner.

Suddenly, I heard my phone ring and so I checked the caller's ID, only for me to see Dante Blaze's name on it and I must confess, the caller saved my ass by showing the identity of the unknown number.

Then I said to myself, "How did this idiot get my phone number," but then I remembered my full details were in my files at the office and also in his office then I sighed and instantly switched off my phone to avoid further calls from him that night.

And few minutes later, I got done with my food and went into my bedroom to sleep knowing I wouldn't be disturbed by him anymore.
