Chapter 4 SUPPORT WITH HER CHOICE

"You don't need to be so rude about it, I just want your help in asking him out " said Sarah like it is the most obvious thing to do. This only made rose roll her eyes in irritation,she didn't want to be having this kind of conversation with anyone "I'm not going to help you with it"

This was the end of the conversation for her but Sarah wasn't done yet " come on,you don't have the be like that, I think you'll have to agree that I'm the perfect girl for him and you know no one else can convince him better than you , don't you want your friend to be happy with me, you don't have to be pervert over it". It sounded like Sarah was insulting her more than asking for her help.

"If you are so perfect,do it yourself since you have nothing else in mind to focus on other than the person who doesn't even spare a second glance"

Rose knew staying here any longer would only lead to an argument so without any hesitation,she stood up and left to Walk on the field that's very close by. Her mood has gotten so much worse, just when she was at home,there was no one to irritate or disturb her and it made her question if she shouldn't have come outside. The relationship between her and Kai was nothing more than being close friends,and though misunderstandings could happen regarding what people thought,it didn't change that the other girls were too desperate, most didn't like her at all and are only pretending to.

It's an evident fact, Kai Thompson is one many women wishes for but rose didn't seem that way but she cares about him as much as he does for her.

She stopped next to a big tree,she was glad this part was quiet,when her eyes wandered across the field only to see someone familiar approaching her . Her heart unexpectedly skipped and she gulped as the person slowly approached her.

"I wasn't expecting to see you here " the person said , taking his seat beside her. The entire time,rose eyes followed his every move. He continued "usually you stay cooped up in you room"

Rose blinked, trying to gain her composure " I wanted fresh air and there's nothing much to do at home" she responded "what about you?" She stared at him curiously.

Marvin Terrence, another one of rose's friend apart from Kai,they attend different schools but still close just not as close as kai. He has silky brown hair that were much more lighter than hers but still smooth.

Marvin replied "I'm here with my mum,she had someone to meet so I just tagged along"he gave a boyish smile. Rose has had feelings for him for a long time but hasn't dared say anything about it .

He then asked "how's school going?" Knowing they weren't going to the same university,he was curious as to how she's doing. Rose smiled " a little stressful" a short silence followed

" So how long will you be here then?" She questioned

"I'm staying for a little while then I'll be leaving,you should go back home to ,since there will be no one to keep you company right after" he then added "I would have loved to keep you company longer but I have things to do at home"

Rose shook her head "oh no it's alright,I don't want to burden you ". Rose was a little disappointed to hear he wouldn't be staying longer but she didn't let ot appear on her facial expressions. Although, she's had a crush on him for a long time , telling him was difficult,she didn't want to be the one to make the first move in a relationship.

Someone then called his name and the source turned out to be his mum. Rose gave a small bow which the woman returned with a smile . She then heard Marvin say next to her " I should leave now,I'll see you tomorrow". Rose nodded buy something unexpected happened, Marvin leaned in kissed her on the cheek leaving her dumbfounded. He smiled at her then stood up to leave. Rose felt her heart beat rapidly at the unexpectedly kiss,even though it was just on the cheek,it made a nervous wreck.

She continued to stare at him until he reached his mum and the strange thing is ,he didn't bother to turn back to look at her. She unconsciously touched her cheek.

"Keep staring like that and you would look like an idiot" someone suddenly broke her from her thoughts.

Looking up was the man she has long been expecting the entire day. Kai had a distant look in his eyes as he stared at Marvin before turning to look at her and rose couldn't help but notice that he looked more handsome than when he left yesterday. He put on a blue jean trouser,and a White button up shirt,but he left the top two buttons untouched as he wore a black coat.

"How long have you been here?" Rose questioned whilst standing on her feet. When she glanced back at the direction she has been looking at, Marvin wasn't there. At the same time she wondered if he had seen what happened.

Kai replied "I came to your house and didn't find you there but knew you'd be here ,why don't you take a guess on amount of time I spent watching you two". A blush appeared on rose's cheek but it only annoyed Kai

"You let him kiss you" Kai pointed out while looking at her cheek before staring back into her brown eyes.

"On the cheek" she corrected before adding " besides, it was a friendly kiss". Kai said "there's no such thing as a friendly kiss"

"Yes there is " rose retorted"it's not nice spying on people like that,and I think he likes me too " . Seeing Kai not reply only to give her a small glare,she sighed "you still don't like him"

Kai turned around to walk and rose followed suit " you know I've never like him,he seems shady and I still don't get what you see in him ". Kai has been the only one rose has told about her feelings and she wished he would actually support her choice regarding this. From the beginning,Kai has never liked Marvin making her wonder why.

"Well he's nice,kind , handsome and sweet "rose listed out "trust me, once you get to know him better you'll like him "

Kai could see rose was trying to convince him but he wasn't having any of it,he didn't like the guy not one bit " do you know him that well?"

"Not as much as I know you"rose replied with evident sincerity.
