Chapter 6 SECOND FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Jenny's POV

After what happened earlier at the poolside, Xavier's didn't come out of his room since then. And I felt like it was all my fault, if I hadn't jumped into that pool he wouldn't have been disgraced by my dad and my Liam. I opened my bedroom door slightly and peered through it, I found out that Xavier's door was opened slightly as well.

"Huh?" I wondered why. I heard voices coming from his bedroom so I walked to his door stealthily to eavesdropped on him.

"I'm really sorry this happened to you," It was Amelia, she was helping him clean his wounds.

"Ouch," he said in pains.

"You just have to relax now, don't you wanna look good on your first day tomorrow?" Amelia said to him.

"Nah, I'm not gonna go. My face looks bad doesn't it?"

"It's not that bad, even bruises couldn't take away your handsomeness." I hate it when she talks like that. I didn't know if she liked him or not but I hated her whenever she was with him and her two goody shoes accent. She looked 6 years older than him, what was she aiming to achieve. I struggled the urge to barge into his room and smack the living hell outta her.

"How long have you been working here?"

"About two weeks now, what about it." Amelia responded.

"So you know pretty much everything about this household?"

"I guess. Hold still," she said as she dressed the wound.

"Fucking hell, Jesus."

"I'm sorry, it always stings." She continued, "You were saying?"

"That guy that accused me of raping or forcing Jenny, is he truly her boyfriend?"

"Yeah, they're pretty much in love."

Shit, did Xavier just ask about my personal business? Is he feeling me? No way, I must be delusional. I had to kill those thoughts, I had a boyfriend and that's what matters. Not Xavier or Amelia attending to his bruises. So I went back to my bedroom and shut my door close.

As the evening drew closer, I went to the patio to soak up some evening sun and enjoy the evening breeze. To my surprise, Xavier was just standing there, looking at the sky.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know anyone was here," I apologized and just as I was about to leave he said to me without turning around,

"Your boyfriend's a dick,"

I heard him and I smirked at what he said and then left.

Second first day of school came in a bit too fast, I didn't even want to go anymore since I and Xavier hadn't spoken formally yet, but I had no choice. My mom always told me the key to feeling good about yourself is in your appearance. So I had to look fearless and sexy to take everyone's mind off what happened to me at the assemblies. I styled my hair in loose cascaded waves over my shoulders and wore a corset mini gown adding a touch of class to my look. I adorned my neck, ears and wrist with jewelries to add a little glamour.

"Dad, I'm leaving!" I alerted my dad. As I was about to open the door, Amelia informed me that my dad had told her to prepare breakfast for I and Xavier while we waited for Mr. Pedro to come back from taking Sab and Danny to school. I was confused, why's Xavier in the picture?

"Xavier? Why is he waiting for Mr. Pedro?" I asked Amelia.

"He didn't tell you?"

"Tell me what?" I asked curiously.

"He got into your school, KSA isn't it?"

What the fuck? How did I not notice he was coming to my school all along, the scholarship exams, the questions at the garden, am I that ignorant? I thought to myself. Regardless, I was pissed at Xavier, he told me he wasn't gonna tell me about the school he was applying to so he wouldn't jinx it, but i guess Amelia's an exception.

"Aren't you gonna eat?" Amelia asked me.

"No thank you, I'll wait outside for Mr. Pedro."

"You look ravishing by the way," Amelia said to me as she left me.

Maybe she actually means no harm, I said to myself. As I got outside, luckily for me Mr. Pedro just arrived. His loud horning alerted Xavier who was inside, so he hurried on out. When he came out, his eyes widened at the sight of me, but then he walked into the car almost immediately like I didn't exist. We still didn't speak while we were in the car, it was as silent as a graveyard.

"It's so oddly silent back there, what's going on?" Mr. Pedro chuckled in between as he asked us.

"Nothing," I blurted.

"Yeah, nothing at all," Xavier said.

"Jenny, do you care for some MJ?" Mr. Pedro asked me. I declined for the fucking first time ever and so we continued driving in silence until we got to school.

We walked to school together and everyone's eyes were on us, tension loomed the air for both of us, I couldn't walk as confident as I planned to. Immediately I got to my locker, Liam said to me, "There's my most beautiful angel," then he gently pushed me against my locker, raised my chin up and started kissing me slowly and passionately. Xavier walked away, I'm sure he wasn't very happy.

Shortly, Liam stopped kissing me then he leaned in forward to my ears and whispered, "I know you've fallen off, so my advice to you is to stick with me if you don't want everyone at KSA to know your dad's unemployed and can't afford to pay your tuition." Then he left me as soon as he passed his message.

That fucking son of a bitch Mrs. Southgate! Arghhh! I knew she wasn't as perfect as she always portrayed herself to be. Gosh, I'm so furious! I leaned backwards to digest what Liam just said to me. Yup, I was definitely now a pawn in his little chess game.
