Chapter 4 ASRI

And just like that, Mo Naram left the lineup.

Some people were disappointed.

CEO Lee Haeun had no problem with the girl leaving, not everyone could work hard like idols do, so she understood Naram's parent's words as they spoke to her the previous day.

She wanted the group to have four members, no more, no less, but there were only three left.

She sighed, thinking of what to do.

Since Naram who was the lead rapper left, they would have to replace her with someone else.

Lee Haeun gave the task to the rap teacher Mr Swift, he would choose the best trainee suitable for the position of lead rapper.

Meanwhile, Team A members were downcast, they couldn't celebrate since an esteemed member among them left.

Ryein and Fenhua cried their eyes out as they asked Aerin. "So are we still gonna debut?"

Aerin pondered before answering, "I don't know girls, but I think a new girl group would be launched, or perhaps the company might decide to carry out the Talent Examination again"

They lowered their heads in disappointment.

"But why? Why would Naram leave all of a sudden?" Fenhua questioned Aerin as if she knew everything.

"I was told by her dorm mates that she said she wouldn't be able to do this, she also wants to debut as an actress who knows?" Aerin shrugged. "But something tells me that we would have our debut"

"I hope so" Ryein closed her eyes, as she folded her arms around her legs.

The following morning, all the trainees under rapping, gathered at the training hall.

Mr Swift was an American and was immensely good at rapping, he was the trainees rapping coach.

Mr Swift told the girls about the information CEO Lee Haeun had asked him to pass to them.

"Anyone who can perfectly do Eerie's 'Monster eggs' would join the new girl group's final lineup" he revealed.

The girl's eyes widened in amusement.

They instantly copied the lyrics and started revising, some biting their tongues and some gritting their teeth.

Alas Mr Swift had another announcement, and of course, it was a disapproval "You will say the rapping verbatim, just like how Fenhua did with 'My heart' and it must be today!"

Everyone's jaws dropped, and some gave up, knowing fully that they would never be able to memorize such a complicated rap verse.

But Sora didn't give up, rapping was her best friend.

She took the paper in her hand and read the words over and over again, before closing her eyes to read it, with the paper covered.

She was surprised to discover that she already memorized some difficult words in the paper, she revised it again and again until she became perfect.

'Am I dreaming? Am I gonna debut too?'

Soon, each rap trainee began to say the rap verses so that their coach could hear.

However, he dismissed some of them before they could even start, some were going smoothly, but stopped mid-way, and some even forgot the entire verse.

Sora waited until the coach was giving up, before she stepped out, without the lyrics note.

"Are you sure you can do this Sora?" Mr Swift asked, already knowing that she would never pass just like others.

"I'm a good rapper Mr Swift" she responded. "When I got eliminated from a dance school in the Netherlands, I started learning rap, I'm no novice in that" she furthered valiantly.

Some of the girls broke into laughter, even Olive, the coach's very own daughter had tried but failed, who was this...?

They laughed their asses out, pointing their index fingers at her.

However, they all froze when Sora started.

It...it...it was true.

"I'm not your ex,

"Exactly Sora, you rocked this" Mr Swift was pleased, he regretted underestimating her in the first place, Sora is a very good rapper, she's just not serious.

He quickly took Sora to Lee Haeun and asked her to redo the song.

The CEO's office interior design was intricately furnished with smart gadgets.

Lee Haeun sat down on her swivel chair, as she watched the young girl with her Secretary.

From beginning to the end, Sora flawlessly sang with her bold yet sweet voice.

"Then it's settled" Lee Haeun was delighted. "I'll be thrilled to have such talented girls in my group, so let's prepare the contract, while you my dear go to the other members"

Sora nodded with a smile as she walked out of the CEO's office with Mr Swift.

Aerin and the other girls jumped up in delight as they sighted their new member.

They all wrapped their arms around her.

Since Isla and Sora were mates in rapping class, they knew each other quite well.

"Sora, I'm glad you're debuting with us"

They hugged themselves, shedding tears of joy.

A staff prepared their contract papers, and since all the girls were underaged, the company sent an electronic copy of their contract to their parent's emails.

And they signed it immediately, while the girls signed the physical papers.

After the contract signing, they returned to their new temporary dorm, where they couldn't sleep throughout the night.

"I'll treat my fans with warmth and kindness" Raine smiled.

"Girls, let's work hard, dream big and we'll be successful, every part of my body tells me that" Aerin giggled.

"What do you think would be our group name?" Sora asked as she sipped her juice.

"Perhaps SARI, you know Sora Aerin, Ryein and Isla" Isla responded humorously.

"Or RAIS, Ryein, Aerin, Isla, and Sora" added Aerin.

"No, ARIS, Aerin, Ryein, Isla, and Sora" added Sora

"Or ASRI, based on our ages" Ryein suggested.

"Of course" they nodded, hugging themselves. "We could be ASRI for now!"
