Chapter 5 5.

He found a spot very close to the door leading to the backyard. There was no one close to the spot and so, he paced way through the crowd dancing in the middle of the bar and sat on the sofa. Suddenly, his phone started to ring. And when he brought it out, it was his Mum who was calling.

" Harold! Where are you? Come home now!" There was a rasp of impatience in her voice. His Mum doesn't take shit from him. He has forgotten about her and went ahead with the marriage. " Oh my God! What would I tell her now?" he murmured under his breath.

" Harold!" She shouted his name. " Yes Mum. Sorry I'm not in the city right now" That was the only lie that would save him from her that night. " You are not in the city? Blue said she saw you four hours ago"

Blue was his Mum's friend's daughter. Mum has been on his neck to marry that girl but he wasn't interested in her. She's not the girl he want and he don't know why she's still following him around.

" Blue is here, speak with her" As Mum was about to hand over the phone to Blue, he disconnected it and turned off his phone. He don't want to speak with that girl that moment, she makes his blood boiled anytime she was talking to him and he always felt the urge to strangle her.

She always act a sweet girl in front of Mum but anytime she was left alone with him, she showed him her real self. Who would want to spend his life with a girl who behaved like her.

~Thunder clasped from a distance~

Suddenly, his mind travelled back home. He wondered what Dolly was doing then. Harold heard girls are afraid of Thunder and he knew Dolly wouldn't be an exception.

"But why do I even care about her, it's not as if I'm in love with her. She's not even my taste. But a part of me feels bad for leaving her alone in the house." He sighed deeply.

He checked the watch and it was already 6pm. He should be getting home. If she already ran away, that would be a great relief for him. Harold thought If he should file for a divorce. But what if she demand half if his wealth? Then his Mum would find out he got married.

With that thought running through his mind, He left the Bar and slowed down a cab. He gave the address to the driver and then entered.

The only thing running in his mind on his way home was not to see Dolly Inside the house. He hoped she would run away. But unfortunately, he found her sitting by the fireplace when he Entered the living room.

" Dolly?" She lifted up her face which was soaked in her tears. " Harold" She Sniffed and ran to me. He didn't know what she was thinking but she hugged him tightly. " Please don't leave again" She sobbed.

Harold felt an Immense feelings running in his heart at that moment. Something in him wants him to wrap his arms over her and console her. He tried to lift up his hand but couldn't, his hands were so stiff right and he couldn't even breath properly.

He had never hug a girl before. He doesn't even have a sister. The only woman he has hugged in his life was his Mum. He didn't know that was how it felt when a girl hug a Man.

He managed to get a hold of himself and pulled her away from his body.

Dolly too, came back to her senses and she scratched the back of her right ear. She didn't cry again rather, she became ashamed of herself for what she did. Well, There was nothing fears can't do to someone. So, No need to blame herself.

" What were you thinking?" her heart was beating fast as he said that. " I'm sorry" She apologized. With his trembling fingers, he pointed at the umbrella on the floor. " Put this where it belongs" he hurried away, walking as fast as his legs could carry him.

In his entire life, Harold has never felt that before. Even when Blue held his hand or Locked her fingers with his, he Never felt anything like he did with Adriana's touch.

"What's this, my heart is beating fast. Why the sudden change in my temperature? I didn't felt cold when I was alone at home. Then why now that I mistakenly hugged him? I've never felt this feeling before. This is the exact feelings the Female leads get whenever they fall in love with the male leads in the books I read."

Adriana thought as she watched him hurried up the stairs to his room.

"But I can't fall in love with a man I just met. No, even though I am already married to him, I have to control myself." She picked up the umbrella from the floor and headed to the door. She hung it on the door then checked if Harold has locked the door.

And yes, he already did. So , she went to her room, pulled off her sandals and then lay down on the bed. The beddings were there and there's a Duvet spread on the bed too. There was nothing she has to wear so, she left the wedding dress in her body.

Adriana tossed and tossed on the bed. She couldn't sleep because she had never Slept out of the house before. What if she closed her eyes and Harold sneak inside the room and take advantage of her? She knew that was never going to happen but her mind wasn't at rest.

What if he can do that? She heard Men are innocent During the day but when the night comes, they turned in to monsters who devoured women.
