Chapter 4 .

" I'm going out" he put his phone inside his pocket and adjusted his collar.

" Where are you going to? You can't leave me alone in this house..." Before she could finish her statement, he was already out of the house. Couldn't he at least hear what she was going to say? And why would he leave her in the house alone?

It was still raining heavily outside. How was he going to leave when he didn't even have a car. She hurried after him but when she got outside, he was already gone.

" Oh my God!" She exclaimed. She slammed the door and hurried back inside the house. What kind of a person was he? Did he disappeared of what? Not even the Trace of his footsteps outside.

"This is so bad step Mum has finally ruin my life" She crouched beside the fireplace and started sobbing. That was the first time Adriana was getting scared for being left alone in the house.

Some day, her step Mum and step sister would leave her alone in the house but because she had her books and there were houses near them, she never get scared. But now, she was all alone in a place such as that. Where even a bird won't hear her scream for help if something was to happen to her.

Adriana remembered her Daddy and she cried. Her Daddy would never have agreed to the marriage if he was at home. He must make sure he knew who the person was first before giving her out.

Daddy won't even marry her off without her agreement. The man already knew Adriana didn't want to get married at that age. She was only 23 and has a lot of dreams to fulfill before getting married.

She knew her step Mum lied to her that her Dad already agreed to the marriage. He never did and he would never agreed to something like that. That woman has finally get rid of her from the house.

Adriana wanted to go back home at that moment. She was Afraid something might happen to her. What if thugs invade the house and take her away? Fear gripped her.

If only there was an Umbrella in the house, she would have taken it and run away. But she saw him took the only umbrella she saw hanging at the back of the door .

The thunder clasped, sending shivers down her spine. She covered her ears and screamed out. If there was another thing she was afraid of, then that was thunder.

Like Normal days, Harold left the house to go ride his scooter at around 7pm. That was the usual time he go round the city on the scooter, checking out New things and to also free his mind from stress and worries.

He didn't see her coming, a woman in her mind thirties. She was holding two bags which contained some fruits and Can foods. He ran in to her and she fell on the highway. But luckily, None of them sustain any injury.

Harold was shocked, he has never encounter am accident since he started leaving the house with the scooter. What would his Mum say if something bad happened to him or the woman he hit? He stood up from where he was lying to go help the woman but she slapped his hand.

" Are you blind?" She yelled at him. Harold tightened his eyes. Why would she ask him if he was blind when he could clearly see. Was she trying to insult him? Does she even know who he was?

" I'm so sorry Ma'am" He apologized over and over but that woman was so stubborn. She was yelling at him, diverting the attention of the passersby to them. Harold adjusted his face cap as he didn't want anyone to see his face.

When she wouldn't stop shouting at him, He offered to give her any amount of money she needed but she laughed at his face. " Do you even have a cent? No you don't" She packed her fruits and can food inside the bag and stood on her feet.

Harold was surprised. Why would she conclude that he had nothing when she didn't even wait to hear what he was going to say? That woman was so unbelievable.

" What do you have?" She finally asked him. She looked like a greedy person and he changed his mind in offering her money. What if she keep pestering him when he gave her money? so, he told her there was nothing he has.

" I'm going to report you to the police" She leapt to her feet, dusted her skirt and wanted to leave but he quickly grabbed her hand. If she report to the police, they'll reveal who he was and the woman is going to demand for a huge sum of money.

" Please do not report me to the police" he pleaded. Harold saw a mischievous grin on her face and then she looked at him. " Then you'll have to do whatever I ask of you" She said. He didn't know what she mean by that until she let it out.

" I have a child who is ready for marriage, You Should marry her if you don't want me to report you to the police" She threatened. " Marriage?" He was shocked. He wasn't ready for marriage , he hate anything that has to do with marriage at that moment.

She forced him to agree to her demand with her threats. And Then, she made him marry a girl who talks too much.

'Sighed'

"Who cares whatever she's doing at home right now, I'm not even interested in her." He folded the umbrella, letting the water drain from it completely before entering the Wine bar.

He looked around the bar for a Silent spot where he can sit alone without any disturbance. He had to cool down his head from getting married suddenly.
