04 CONT.

When Regulus heard his wife's laughter, he became even more in a bad mood. He was really annoyed today and his wife was very happy while he was with his friend.

a while ago, a man made a scandal in front of his company and his family while he was talking to an investor who met him entering the company. The man who caused trouble because of what he was wearing was not his employee. apart from that, he also fired one of his employees. Because it rained on his clothes. This made him even more angry so he fired him but he gave him the last due salary.

"Hey Mr. Engineer, you've been too hot-headed. What's wrong?"

he turned to Chase. His cousin who tends to annoy him. He is a year older here. He gave her a bad look before dropping his cellphone.

"I'm not in the mood today so please, don't add more." Regulus said annoyed before looking away. Chase laughed.

He wonders why his cousin is still mad right now. "Why are you still mad about that? Can't you move on? Or.. Is it about a while ago or your personal life?"

Regulus turned his gaze to the ballpoint pen on his desk and picked it up. "It's because of my wife." answered Regulus. Chase nodded. He already knew about that. He just whistled.

"Her full name is Vienna Shalice Flamean, right?" Chase asked to which Regulus nodded. Chase stopped whistling before turning to his cousin. He looked at Regulus with wide eyes.

"So that's why she's familiar to me. I didn't even move at first maybe because it's just her name. I know that their company is one of the most successful and well known when it comes to selling and making jewelry around Europe and Asia . I saw her once. She's pretty," he commented. Regulus nodded without knowing why. He looked at Chase who also looked surprised but eventually he grinned and stood up.

"So tell me, how's your relationship with her?" it asked. Regulus didn't answer. he turned his gaze to the ballpoint pen he was holding.

"Well, it's normal. I don't want to get attached to her," Regulus answered seriously. He would have been happy because he and Vien would see each other after so many years, but they didn't. He was annoyed because they were going to get married. Chase just nodded before standing up. "Okay, I'm going to leave. I just stopped by to ask you if you would accept Mr. Cruz's project."

Regulus glared at his cousin. "It's not, isn't it? He keeps changing his plans. I can't understand him," he said seriously.

"O-Okay, okay. Bye, bud!" he said goodbye before turning and leaving his office.

Regulus sighed. He checked his phone to see if there was a call or text from his girlfriend. His girlfriend is far away from him. He is in Canada and works there as an interior designer. It's still December and they only talk about once a week. If they talk, it's only about a minute.

He has been calling and texting her several times but she is not responding like before. he asks if they have a problem but he avoids the conversation and ends their conversation. He was worried. He didn't know what was going on here. He wanted to go see the girl but he was too busy. it's been three days since his father retired from the company and he replaced him as CEO.

While he was thinking, his cellphone suddenly vibrated. He frowned and turned his gaze there. He saw his Daddy's name. he took it and immediately answered.

"How are you my son? Are you and your wife okay?" it immediately asked. It wasn't as angry as the last time they met. Regulus sighed before he answered the Father.

"I'm okay, Dad. Vien isn't here, she's with her guy friend," Regulus answered. That was true. "Why so serious, my son? Aren't you upset because your husband is with another man?" he asked. Regulus sighed again. That was fine with him.

"Why would I, Dad? Vienna is old enough. He knows right from wrong, okay? Anyway, why did you call me?" he asked Father. He was silent for a few moments.

"I called you beacuse of something," his father said first. "I called you because I want you and Vien to have a honeymoon vacation together this coming Sunday. It's only been two weeks. I know you haven't had time with each other lately because you disappeared like a bubble after your get married.leave your work and spend some time with your wife. I'll handle the company temporarily as long as you agree," the old man's long litany.

"What?!" Regulus eyes widened in shock.

"No! Dad! I can't do that! It's like you pushed me to cheat on my girlfriend!" Regulus said angrily. his voice was raised because of what the Father said.

"Son, Eloiza is just your girlfriend while Vien, she's your wife. You're legally married so there's nothing wrong with doing the things that married couples do. I'll take it down, take care." he said that he didn't even pay attention to what he said.

after that, his father hung up the call. Regulus just closed his eyes. Yes, Vien is a wife but she can't do what her Father said. He loves Eloiza so much even though their relationship seems to be cooling. He closed his eyes tightly because of the anger and pain he was feeling.
