Chapter 5 EPISODE FIVE -

The first on her list was in Dallas, the ride from Houston to Dallas was about four hours and thirty minutes.

"Ah this will be a hard task," Alice said entering the car.

Alice spent two weeks going around, visiting each business before she could make a comprehensive report. According to Jacob Sir Anthony liked a report to be well detailed so she put in a lot of effort to make the report. Alice just finished sending the report to his email when she got a call from Sir Anthony asking her to come to his office.

"Good day Sir," Alice said.

"Have you finished the task I gave you?" Anthony asked.

"Yes Sir I just sent it to your mail," Alice said.

"Good, you can leave work now, go pack your stuffs we are leaving for Los Angeles tomorrow morning," Anthony said.

"So sudden? Alice asked surprised.

" Yes do you have any problem?" Anthony asked.

"No Sir, I will do that quickly, thank you, I will get going," Alice said.

"Have a nice day," Alice said and left.

She got home and as instructed packed her things for the journey tomorrow, she didn't know how long they will be spending so she packed a lot.

"Welcome," Alice said when Ana entered the house.

"I looked for you everywhere, why did you leave without me?" Ana asked.

"And what's with the bag?" Ana added.

"I'm going to Los Angeles tomorrow along with Sir Anthony, he told me to get off work early so I can pack my things," Alice said.

"Oh I thought you got a boyfriend and you secretly went to visit him," Ana said jokingly.

"Silly you, what boyfriend," Alice said.

"Oh of course you won't get one you have your eyes on Sir Anthony," Ana teased.

"Ana what are you saying," Alice said.

"Are you saying you don't like our Boss, I see the way you look at him," Ana said.

"You, stop talking," Alice said by now here cheeks were already red from embarrassment.

"So I'm lying you don't like him?" Ana asked.

"It's not that but you know the Boss, you know how he behaves and he's on another level, I don't think he will ever like someone like me, with his looks I'm sure they are many girls if his status flocking around him," Alice said.

"Don't speak like that, you are a beautiful girl why won't he like you, you are also hardworking and kind, about the status who knows the future you might become a rich billionaire someday," Ana said.

"You know this business trip is your chance to make sure Anthony fall for you," Ana said.

"Stop saying nonsense, go freshen up I will make us dinner," Alice said and ran to the kitchen, she could no longer stand Ana's teasing.

Next day

Alice woke up early, took her bath and left. She was trying to flag down a cab when a car stopped in front of her.

"Get in," Anthony said.

"Good morning Sir," Alice said.

"Get in we will go to the airport together," Anthony said.

"Okay Sir," Alice said put her luggage in the boot and entered the car. Alice was surprised to find out she will be flying in the first class suit with her boss, she was happy.

"Ah! It's so comfortable," Alice said and she sat down. "Sir when will we be returning?" Alice asked.

"It's depends on how fast we beat the competition and acquire the company, it might take a month," Anthony said.

"A month, I didn't pack that much," Alice murmured. She was regretting not asking him this question yesterday.

About three hours later, they landed in Los Angeles.

"Get some rest we have a meeting this afternoon," Anthony said.

"Okay Sir," Alice said.

"I sent some names to your email, contact those people and set a meeting," Anthony said.

"Yes Sir," Alice said.

"And good job on the report you sent, it was nice, keep it up," Anthony said and left for his room.

Alice was all smiles when she entered her room, she got compliment from the boss, Jacob told her he hardly compliments people, so get one was a accomplishment.

Alice got to work immediately, she checked her mail and began contacting the people on the list by noon she was done and went to the lobby to wait for Sir Anthony so they could leave for the meeting.

Two Weeks Later

Alice thought she would be able to get the chance to go around the city and see what it had to offer but to her utmost disappointment every day was filled with meetings here and there and also a lot of task she had to do, she now understand why people dread working with Sir Anthony he was workaholic through and through but Alice wasn't complaining she had learnt a lot and met a lot of people and she also got to eat a lot of delicacies during the meeting so there was nothing to complain about and the meeting wasn't held in the same place so she still got to tour the city a little.

"Alice have you made the report?" Anthony asked. "Yes Sir I already sent it to your mail," Alice said.

"Okay you can leave early, it's a private meeting you don't have to be there," Anthony said.

"Are you sure Sir?" Alice asked.

"Yes you worked really hard so you deserve a break, use the cooperate account for whatever you need," Anthony said and left.

"Awn he's so cool," Alice thought and went after him. "Sir you also worked hard so you deserve some rest, after the meeting we should go somewhere," Alice said.

"Are you give me an order?" Anthony asked with an arched brow.

"Huh," Alice said surprised. When did she order him she just wanted him to relax as he has been working non stop since they got here.

"Sir it wasn't an order, it was a request, as your secretary i have to ensure that everything around you is okay but if you keep on working like this you might fall ill so a little rest will do you some good," Alice said.

"Huh okay, we will meet at the lobby by two," Anthony said and left.
