He's still gathering information about Lei Ong, but it seems like someone has been blocking all his attempts to hack into a secret website for drug dealers. He smirked, knowing that whoever that person is, they can't stop him. He created a new program that can bypass any website without a hitch. Thanks to his friend, Laurence Lajarde, a CIA agent, he's skilled in hacking and programming. He doesn't know where his friend is, probably conducting some investigations.
He grinned in triumph as he managed to access the website containing secrets of the drug dealers. He quickly searched for Lei Ong's name and found a trove of illegal drug deals and negotiations he had conducted. Of course, he wouldn't download the files, as he could be traced. Instead, he decided to print the screens one by one. He took everything, from negotiations to photos, and then something caught his attention-a photo of a young girl, he estimated to be around 12 or 13. She was covered in deep wounds. He couldn't see her face, as it was hidden by her hair. The date on the photo was May 16, 2001.
He closed his eyes, no longer feeling sorry for the child. The information under the picture proudly stated, 'an assassin failed her mission and ended up being tortured by master Lei.'
Xenova hissed as she placed her desk outside Helios' office. How the heck can she observe that man if his office is tinted?! "Xenova, get in," she heard Helios call through the intercom. She knocked first and then entered. "Yes boss handsome?" She grinned when she saw Helios looking somewhat troubled. "Come here," he promptly said.
"Print these photos," he requested casually. She could have printed the pictures herself, but he gave the order anyway.
"Yes boss handsome! Where would you like me to have them printed?" she inquired. He pointed to the pictures, and she felt a chill run down her spine as she saw a photo of herself being tortured by her uncle. She fought back her tears and put on a childish act to prevent it from happening again. "What's wrong?" Helios asked. She shook her head and looked at the laptop screen. "I-I just feel sorry for this kid."
"Well, I feel the same. Lei Ong is really heartless. To think he could torture even a child like that, I wonder if she's still alive." She is, and she's right beside you. She swallowed and edited the pictures before printing them. "Maybe that child has already died. Who could survive such a situation?" she heard him say, shrugging it off.
Helios caught a whiff of Xenova's scent as he stood behind her. God knows how badly he wants to bring her into his office and make her scream his name like there's no tomorrow. "The photos are printed, boss handsome!" She handed him the envelope containing the printed and screened pictures. He couldn't help but notice Xenova's haste, as if she wasn't comfortable around him anymore. What happened to her?
Xenova is currently outside Helios' hotel, planning to climb the building since entering through the front might get her caught by the hotel's CCTV cameras. She's dressed in a full-body black outfit, masked like a ninja. She quickly climbed a tree and jumped into the window where the CCTV room was located. She succeeded in entering, grinning as she found no one guarding the room. She slowly locked the door and sat in front of the monitors. She connected her USB containing thousands of viruses that would cause the cameras to shut down. Well, that was easy. She smirked.
She exited the room through the window and entered the adjacent room through another window. She grinned as she found no one in that room either. She quickly changed her clothes and applied dark makeup. She then left the room. She went straight to Helios' office, turned the doorknob, and it opened easily. The problem with Helios is that he doesn't lock his door.
She immediately approached Helios' desk and typed in the password to unlock the cabinet. It opened, and she took the envelope containing the pictures she had printed, putting it in her bag, which she would use in court tomorrow.
Sorry Helios, but I need to do this. As soon as she had the envelope, she quickly left the building.
Helios is grinning from ear to ear; he has the evidence of Lei Ong's atrocities and he's confident he'll win the case. He can bring justice for Zapanta's daughter. They're inside the courtroom, accompanied by his assistant Xenova, who's chewing gum like a kid. "Would you stop eating that?" he whispered-yelled at Xenova. She gave him a glare and chewed the gum even harder. "You're such a buzzkill, boss handsome. It's so good!" she pouted. "You can't eat inside!" Xenova pouted back and swallowed the gum she was chewing. He facepalmed. "It will melt eventually, boss handsome. There, no more problem. Let's go!" she said, pulling him into the courtroom.
"I believe that Mr. Ong is having illegal negotiations and I have the evidence, your honor." He grinned. He took the envelope from his bag and opened it, only to gape at the pictures of Barbies inside. "What. The. Fuck." His gaze returned to the judge, who was giving him a disapproving look. He looked at Xenova, who was quietly chewing gum, and glared at her. But she just swallowed the gum and flashed a peace sign. He closed his eyes tightly. He faced the judge again.
"Your honor, I think Mr. Villiarde forgot something really important here." He looked at the lawyer from the opposing side, Tode Magaspang, who was smirking, with his ugly face and even uglier name. He clenched his fist.
The first trial has ended, but Helios' anger is still palpable. She really wants to approach Helios and return the evidence, but she can't. If she does, she'll jeopardize herself. She's angry at herself for letting her emotions resurface, emotions she's suppressed for so long. She shouldn't feel worried! She shouldn't feel guilty for what she did! It's her mission and she needs to see it through!
Her thoughts were interrupted when her phone suddenly rang. She quickly entered the restroom and checked the caller ID. She saw her uncle's name and felt a lump in her throat. "Hello, Laupe?" she answered the call. "Good job, X. Just keep on observing Mr. Villiarde, and maybe you'll be the one to get the evidence against me." She swallowed hard. "The next trial will be two months from now. Do your job right, or else." Then the line ended.
She took a deep breath. "X, no conscience, no mercy, and no love. Always put that on your mind."
