Chapter 7 You Used Me!

"Audrey, Audrey! Nothing is impossible in this world. I can be a mother without giving birth."

Patricia was happy to see Audrey's pale face at this time. Her laughter never left her face. She even deliberately made her laughter louder so that Audrey could no longer move.

Meanwhile, Audrey was still standing while clutching Daniel's arm tightly, her face grimaced in pain, and cold sweat began to soak her forehead, but she did not take her eyes off Patricia.

The woman must have just been bragging because she was annoyed that her lies had been exposed by Audrey.

"I don't believe it!" Audrey's voice sounded hoarse.

Patricia shook her head lightly and smiled dismissively at Audrey.

"You don't know that Daniel's grandfather wants me to be his grandson-in-law, but I'm weak and can't get pregnant for now, so he suggested that I take an egg and combine it with Daniel's sperm, then implant the embryo in your stomach when you go to the hospital to check your body, so, dear sister, thank you for being nine months pregnant for me."

Hearing this, Daniel was shocked. He suddenly remembered that his grandfather had once asked him to go to the hospital to store sperm. Although he didn't understand his grandfather's intentions, he still did it so that he could be a dutiful grandson.

Audrey's eyes widened completely at Patricia's explanation. Suddenly she turned to the man who was still standing beside her, fixing her with a disappointed gaze.

Daniel, who didn't know anything, looked confused.

The hand that was still grasping Daniel's arm, he let go quickly. Disappointment and anger now mixed in his chest, forming a wave that was about to explode.

He shook his head bitterly. "I didn't expect you to use me all this time, Daniel." Tears welled up in her eyes. Audrey's body moved backward as she held her stomach.

Daniel, who saw Audrey wincing in pain, tried to touch her, but Audrey firmly brushed Daniel's hand away with blazing eyes.

"Don't touch me!" With a trembling voice, Audrey shouted at Daniel. Her hand leaned on the door handle, not only holding back the pain in her stomach that was getting unbearable but also the pain in her heart.

"Right now I want us to divorce!" Audrey said firmly.

Now, she could no longer hold back. She had been cheated and didn't want to fight for anything. Audrey swallowed hard, sweat was dripping down her forehead, and tears were rolling down her cheeks. Audrey held her stomach, limping slightly, she tried to leave the room.

However, before she reached the doorknob, Audrey's breath began to hitch and her vision began to blur.

Her body collapsed.

"Audrey!" shouted Daniel, quickly holding Audrey's body. Luckily, Daniel was alert and managed to grab Audrey before she fell to the floor.

Then, he noticed a trickle of blood running down Audrey's leg.

"Doctor!" Daniel shouted for a doctor as he carried Audrey in his arms.

He ran out of the room, leaving behind the three people who had caused Audrey's unconsciousness. They just looked at each other and didn't care about Audrey's condition.

Seeing that, Patricia took a deep breath, then her hands squeezed the sheets tightly.

Meanwhile, in the hospital corridor, Daniel half ran frantically with Audrey. A doctor and nurse approached him with a gurney. Audrey's body was taken to the emergency room.

Daniel was stopped by the nurse when he wanted to enter the room.

"Please sir, wait here. Our doctor will handle as much as possible."

The door was then closed and the emergency lights turned on.

It wasn't long before a doctor came out and approached Daniel.

The doctor explained. "Seeing that she is bleeding quite a lot, the patient must be operated on immediately. The baby in her womb must be saved immediately."

"Do whatever it takes, Doc. As long as my wife and child are safe."

The doctor nodded. "Please sir sign the consent for the operation first."

The nurse came with the surgery documents which Daniel signed immediately. Afterward, they returned to the operating room.

Daniel stared wide-eyed at the closed operating room door with a red light shining on it. He sat down with his hands shaking. His face was pale with panic.

Soon a nurse ran out and then entered the operating room again. She looked busy carrying some equipment. Seeing her, Daniel's mind was already racing. Then a doctor came out of there and approached Daniel.

Daniel's body stiffened instantly.

"What's going on, Doc? My wife is fine, right? My child is safe, right, Doc?" Because he was too panicked, he didn't realize that his voice was shouting a little when he asked the doctor.

"There is a slight problem. The patient is bleeding heavily and this is very dangerous, not only for the baby in the womb but also for the mother. Please prepare your family members for the worst."

Daniel's body went limp at that moment. He moved backwards unbalanced hitting the wall behind him and falling.

His gaze looked blank and wet. The trembling of his hands showed his current fear.

He is afraid of losing the baby in Audrey's womb that he is beginning to love. Daniel is also afraid of losing Audrey who is beginning to occupy the space in his heart.

Daniel's body drooped limply. He rubbed his wet eyes and forced a smile. His wife and child would be fine. He was sure Audrey would get through it and give him a cute child.

Meanwhile in Patricia's treatment room. The woman clucked in displeasure and started complaining to her parents.

"Mom, why isn't Daniel coming back? He should be here with me, not with Audrey!" Patricia fumed.

Lidya, who had been sitting on the sofa, came over and tried to comfort her favorite child. "Patience, dear. Maybe he's taking care of the administration of Audrey's treatment."

Patricia was worried, seeing how Daniel cared so much for Audrey. All she could think about at the moment was Daniel, not Audrey.

"What if Daniel doesn't come back here?" Patricia's hands began to fidget. "I want Daniel here with me, Mom," Patricia whined. She urged her parents to fulfill her wish.

Bryan and Lidya looked at each other, unable to bear to look at Patricia who was now starting to cry.

"You go, bring Daniel here." Bryan, who could not bear to see Patricia, then told his wife.

Lidya rubbed Patricia's hair, then looked pityingly at her daughter. "You take it easy, Mommy will bring Daniel to you."

Patricia hugged her mother happily. Afterward, Lidya left the room and searched for Daniel throughout the hospital.

It didn't take long, she found Daniel sitting on the floor with his head bowed in front of the emergency room.

She hurriedly approached Daniel with a panicked face. "Daniel, come quickly! Patricia's condition is deteriorating."

Daniel looked up.
