Chapter 6 The Revelation of Secret

Daniel was surprised. Meanwhile, Audrey felt that emotions were filling her.

How could they do such a stupid drama just to trick Daniel like this?

"I can't watch my daughter suffer like this, Niel." Bryan's face was as sad as possible.

Daniel was silent, but he could feel the sadness Bryan was showing.

Bryan sighed for a moment, then seemed to want to continue his sentence. "Daniel, will you marry Patri-"

"NO!"

Audrey screeched with emotion. She couldn't stand this anymore. With quick movements, she walked over to Patricia and pulled out the IV that was in her hand.

Lidya squealed in surprise, as did Patricia who was not expecting Audrey's actions.

"Audrey!" Daniel shouted angrily at her and pushed Audrey's body away from Patricia.

"You've lost your mind, huh?!" His eyes flashed with emotion.

"They're just pretending, Daniel. They tricked you!" Audrey's tears fell. She was nine months pregnant and Daniel as a husband should not have pushed her so hard, just for another woman.

"You should fix your rotten heart first, so you don't always think badly of others. The problem is with yourself!"

Audrey retreated her steps unsteadily. Her eyelids trembled. She looked at everyone in the room one by one. They all looked at her with an accusing gaze. As if she was the only suspect here.

Everyone in this hospital was her relative, but no one supported her even once. Even her husband didn't believe her.

Audrey looked down, letting her tears fall. She took a deep breath and looked up.

"Daniel, do you know who tricked us into sleeping together a few years ago?"

Daniel turned to Audrey with his eyebrows interlocked.

Hearing this, Bryan's face immediately changed. He quickly approached Audrey and slapped her.

Audrey was stunned after receiving harsh treatment from her biological father.

Even with Patricia, she did not expect it, but she secretly smiled triumphantly after seeing how her parents defended her.

"How dare you!" shouted Bryan, trying to silence Audrey's mouth. He also pulled Audrey away from Daniel.

"What are you here for? Are you intentionally trying to make Patricia's health deteriorate?!" his hand gripped Audrey's arm tightly.

He was furious with Audrey from the beginning. She should have sent Audrey away from the beginning. The child was dangerous, Audrey could reveal all her secrets. Bryan wouldn't let her.

While Lidya, who was also angry, approached with her eyes blazing, her hand deliberately pushed Audrey's body until her body took a few steps back.

"Audrey, we know that you don't like Patricia. You are always jealous of Patricia's happiness." Lidya cornered Audrey, making it seem as if Audrey was the one who had the most heart for her sister.

Audrey shook her head. She couldn't contain her disappointment, especially seeing Daniel who was looking at her with an indecipherable look.

"You must have said that on purpose to cause a scene, right? Like you've always done. Look, we've always put up with all your bad behavior, but not anymore Audrey. You better get out of here right now!" she hissed, shooing Audrey away.

Audrey couldn't stop crying. Her heart was so sore, why would any parent slander and even treat her like this? Even though she is also a biological child, Audrey never felt the love and affection from her parents.

Instead, Patricia, who is not their biological child, receives all the love. Patricia has always been spoiled since childhood, while Audrey was forced to learn to be independent.

Patricia always got what she wanted, while Audrey had to work hard first if she wanted something. This charade made her feel like an adopted child.

Since childhood, she had felt the difference, but Audrey always tried to accept it.

Now, she could no longer accept this unfair treatment, especially when it came to her household with Daniel.

Bryan pulled Audrey's hand, followed by Lidya who also pushed Audrey's body to get her out of the room. Audrey resisted with all her might and rebelled, trying to break free from Bryan's strong grip.

Again, Daniel was silent, not knowing what to do, just watching the commotion with a confused look. However, his treatment only made Audrey even more upset.

Audrey finally couldn't stand it, so she said quite loudly. "She... Patricia! Patricia is the one who mixed the medicine into your drink, Daniel!"

The fact finally escaped Audrey's mouth. She only hoped that with one fact answered, Patricia would no longer interfere with her life.

Patricia was surprised, not expecting that Audrey knew everything. Even with Daniel, who has now widened his eyes perfectly.

He turned to Patricia, but Patricia shook her head slowly, putting on an innocent face.

Daniel walked over to Audrey and pulled her out of Bryan's arms.

"What do you mean, how can you accuse Patricia of doing it?" Daniel asked incredulously, thinking that his wife was just making it up because she hated Patricia.

"I'm not lying, Daniel, believe me. This is all Patricia's doing. She deliberately put drugs in your drink and tricked us into sleeping together. She did all that to get you to marry me."

Audrey took Daniel's hand and held it. Her eyes were intense and serious, trying to convince Daniel.

"Patricia did that so she could kick me out of the house. She didn't want to share the family fortune with me. Patricia is cunning, Daniel. She planned it all. She even got my parents involved. Now that she likes you, she wants to separate us, take you away from me."

Bryan and Lidya looked at each other frantically. They looked a little upset, but also misguided, not expecting Audrey to say this in front of Daniel.

Meanwhile, Daniel was shocked after hearing Audrey's explanation, he didn't think that Patricia could do that.

He turned to Patricia who was expressionless, with a pale face.

Not only that, Daniel also looked at Bryan and Lidya who were trying to throw their eyes in any direction. Daniel's head was still busy thinking at the moment. His brain was still a little doubtful about Audrey's confession.

"Daniel, I don't...."

Audrey's sentence hung as she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her stomach. She gripped Daniel's arm tightly.

"Daniel, my stomach... aah!" Audrey bent over in pain.

"What's wrong Audrey?" asked Daniel worriedly.

Audrey winced. Suddenly sweat had started to fill her face. "My stomach hurts, Daniel. Help! I don't want anything to happen to our baby." Audrey's tone sounded confused and scared.

Audrey didn't want to lose her child, and she didn't want anything bad to happen to her pregnancy. Therefore, she held her stomach and stroked it gently, hoping that it would ease the pain a little.

Perhaps because she was too emotional, her stomach was contracting. Although she was already on her due date, according to her obstetrician, her due date was still a few weeks away and Audrey was worried.

Audrey's emotions were frantic. 'I don't want anything to happen to my baby,' she thought to herself. She made self-suggestions to ease the pain and worry a little.

However, instead of getting better, her stomach hurt even more. It made Audrey grip Daniel's arm even tighter, it felt like she could no longer endure the pain in her stomach. Just as Daniel was about to lead her out, a loud laugh echoed from behind her, making Audrey stop her steps and turn her head.

Patricia. The woman laughed from the top of her bed. Seemingly happy about the current situation.

"Maybe it's time for you to give birth, Audrey. When that baby is born, I will be a mother." Patricia laughed again happily. There was no regret on her face. She just couldn't wait for the birth of her child with Daniel.

Even Bryan and Lidya, who already knew about it, smiled slyly.

Daniel and Audrey did not understand what Patricia said, they looked confused.

"W-what do you mean, Patricia?" asked Audrey stammeringly.

"You know what? The child you're carrying is my child with Daniel! You conceived it, but I'm going to be the mother."

Audrey widened her eyes, she didn't quite believe it. She shook her head through the pain in her stomach. "N-no way."
