"Shh," he said, shaking his head.
"What?" I'm asking here because I feel like I'm going to be lectured.
"Why do you hate them so much?" he asked, and I didn't answer.
"She's still your mother, Mom, and your sister Elaine, she's worried about you. She always messaged me when she was in the states," he added.
"And what do you want me to do, Dane? Get plastic surgery--"
"No, Eya! Learn to accept them. Learn to forgive whatever they do to you!" he said, and I faked a smile.
You don't know what happened, Daniel. You do not know!
"Let's change the topic, Dane," I said while looking away.
"But Eya---"
"Stop, Daniel! I'm not in the mood to talk about them anymore," I said, and he just sighed.
"Sorry," he apologized.
After Dane and I had a bit of a misunderstanding, he went upstairs. I know it annoys me, but I can't explain it to him because I know he has a lot of respect for my Mommy.
And I don't know how he will feel when he finds out, and I know he will hate my mother who wants to kill me!
Yes, you're right, my own mother wants to kill me. It's so ironic it makes me cry.
To this day, it still hurts me. I'm so angry.
"I'm not sure if I can forgive her for what she did, especially since Lola Alicia died because of it. I was in a coma for a few months, and Lola couldn't bear it until she passed away. So, they can't blame me for harboring resentment.
I quickly went after Dane. I know he's angry and disappointed with me, but it's alright as long as he's there for me, even though I have a difficult attitude towards others.
"Danny," I softly called out as I entered his room.
"Take a shower; I'll give you a ride later," he said in a hushed voice.
"I'm sorry, Dane," I apologized as I approached him and hugged him from behind.
"It's okay. Go ahead and take a shower," he replied.
"Ugh, I want to see your face first," I grumbled because he didn't want to turn around.
"Shh," he hushed me as I withdrew my hand.
"Hey, what's wrong with your mood?! Are you upset?" I exclaimed in annoyance, but it only caused me more frustration. This annoying guy! He has too much attitude!
"Take care of your own life!" I said irritably and left his room to change, but I returned because I remembered something."
I noticed that my clothes were in his room, and I was a bit annoyed. I quickly retrieved my clothes from his closet, realizing that he had taken up a lot of space. After that, I hurried into the bathroom for a shower. When I finished, I came out, but he wasn't in the room anymore. I swiftly got dressed and fixed my hair, then called Dane, who was waiting just outside the room for me to finish.
"I'm heading home," I told him, but he didn't respond as I expected.
"I said I'm going home; I'll take my clothes with me," I said, looking at him, but it seemed like he wasn't paying much attention. Frustrating!
Tss. Let's go! I angrily grabbed his suitcase and stuffed my things into it. He was really irritated with me because of Mommy. Ugh, they should just sort things out already!
Once I finished packing my things, I glanced around, but there was nothing left.
"Daniel!"
A woman's voice. Aunt Mariel! His mom.
I heard a knock, and when I opened the door, I was surprised to see myself. "Iha, you're here. I'm so happy to see you!" he exclaimed, embracing me. I glanced at Dane, who was smiling.
That's why he didn't try to stop me; I couldn't leave immediately because Aunt was here. "Wow, really wow! You guys go out, I've brought food!" he announced.
"We're next, Ma," Dane said, looking at me and laughing. "Didn't I tell you I'd bring you home after lunch? Do you have any issues?" I replied, struggling with my response. He's the one at fault, but he's trying to shift the blame!
"And what are these things you've scattered around? Give them back!" he said, playfully messing with my hair and left first. Thank you!
Her cute suitcase was neatly packed amidst the chaos. Strangely, I found myself putting my things back into his closet. My belongings multiplied because I often stayed over, leaving my clothes here since he allowed me to. It felt like I was practically living here with my extensive wardrobe.
I headed downstairs and encountered his father too. "Oh, Eya, you're here too?" Uncle Miguel remarked, and I greeted Aunt Mariel with a kiss as well.
Uncle inquired with raised eyebrows, "By the way, son, how was your date with Vanessa, okay?"
He replied, "Um, it's okay," turning toward you.
Neto chimed in, "Maybe you're going to be lazy in front of Vanessa? I told you to be a man for her!" You noticed Dane's expression; he didn't respond to his parents like we did. They controlled him more than he wanted.
You held Dane's hands and smiled at him, keeping them under the table to hide them from view. He smiled back and began eating.
You broke the news, "Uncle Migz, we're dating! You don't need to worry." This surprised them, but they eventually laughed.
Tito expressed skepticism, "Don't cover him up anymore, I know he won't date a girl, and with Vanessa, I know he was just forced."
You defended, "No, Uncle! We already kissed... twice." This revelation left them momentarily speechless, and you noticed
"I couldn't finish what I was going to say when Dane grabbed my hand to tell me to stop.
Why? I'm just telling the truth. We really kissed.
And because of what happened earlier, I went home early.
He ignored me from the flight until we got to my house.
"Sorry earlier." I said.
"It's okay. I'm not mad at you," he said as he took off my seatbelt and ruffled my hair again.
"Come in," he said, and I nodded.
I got down and waved at him before he left.
When I went inside, I only met Sister Elaine.
"Where are you from? You know we're worried about you," she said softly, and I just smirked.
"Wow. Thank you, and I'm sorry too! I'm used to nobody looking for me here at home," I said.
"Well, what are we to you---"
"A mess!" I answered this and saw that she was crying."
"I know it's not my fault, but I can't help but be angry with him because our mother was kind to him! Meanwhile, I almost died because our mother didn't care about me. Sometimes I thought that I might just be adopted here, but Lola is the only thing on my mind right now. She is the only one who gives me the reason to still believe that my family is my family.
"Don't be like that, what did we do to you?" He told me. I stared at him evilly, but my evil look got worse when I saw Mommy.
"Why don't you ask us, Mom?" I said, emphasizing the end.
"What do you mean, Mom?" Mommy said as she approached us, looking nervous.
Go ahead, just be nervous!
I walked and bumped into him, and he grabbed my arm, then turned to Sister Elaine.
"Go to your room, Elaine. We just have something to talk about," he said and followed her.
I immediately pulled my arm that he was holding tightly.
"What do you think you're doing?" he said angrily but in a low voice.
"Are you scared?" I said, laughing.
Yes, he knows that I know that he was."
Please let me know if you need any further assistance or have any other questions!
The reason I almost died, but he doesn't seem to have any remorse. He didn't even apologize, but that's okay. I will not accept his apology either because even if he apologizes for the rest of his life, it will not bring back grandma's life!
"I'm not happy with you anymore!" it said.
"Do you think I care if you're happy with me or not!" I said, and left him squealing.
I closed the door in irritation and sighed while my chest continued to rise and fall because I was so annoyed with my Mommy.
"Aaarrrghhhh!" I screamed loudly and threw my bag.
I heard Sister's worried voice, but I ignored it.
"Hey, open it."
"Leave me alone!" I shouted here.
"There it is!"
I violently opened the door and looked at him evilly, and I could see the fear in his eyes.
"How hard is it to understand what I said, huh!? Go away! Go away!" I screamed and suddenly ran so I slammed the door again.
The next day...
I woke up with a headache and eye pain. The headache was due to staying up late, and the eye pain resulted from crying all night, which I believe stopped when I fell asleep. I glanced at the wall clock, realizing I only had half an hour and needed to hurry, but I felt lazy.
My phone rang, and it was Daniel. I answered, "What?"
"Wake up, sleepy head. It's going to be late!" Daniel scolded.
"Who cares?" I replied and sat on my bed.
"Tsk. One!" he said.
"Two!" I responded. I could hear his heavy breathing.
"Even if you count to one hundred, I still won't come in," I declared as I got up and left the room.
When I came downstairs, I was surprised to find him in the living room talking to my Dad. I frowned and asked, "What are you doing here?"
"Shh," was his only response.
"Why are you still like that?! You're so late!" Dad scolded me.
"I don't want to go in!" I retorted.
"You can't go in; get dressed!" Dad yelled. I narrowed my eyes when I saw Daniel staring at me.
On the flip side, he's so cute! "Fine!" I answered and gave Daniel a hard time before heading back upstairs. Even though I love him, sometimes I really want to hit him! Will it suppress my desire not t
"Enter?"
Argh!
I took a shower first; it was his turn to wait and be late like me, he deserved it. He can endure it!
After I finished showering, I was shopping for something to wear when someone knocked on the door.
"What!" I asked without opening the door.
"Open the door." Dane's voice made me nervous, so I opened it.
"Can't you wait?" I was irritated, but he was holding a pair of uniforms and handing them to me, so I took them.
"What do you want me to do, huh?" I didn't feel like asking.
"Put it on if you don't want me to nag you about it. It'll fit you since it's a small size," he said, and one of my eyebrows immediately raised.
"I don't need this!" I replied as I turned away from him, but he just held it out to me again. Argh, this man is really getting on my nerves!
"Wear it, or else--"
"Or else what?!" I responded firmly.
"Nothing. Just behave!" he said.
Hmm, I don't know you! Let's go! I said and was about to close the door when he stopped it.
"What?!" I frowned and shouted.
"You wear it or I'll wear it for you, take your pick," he said, making my cheeks heat up.
"Y-You're saying you're gay!" I weakly shouted.
"Shh. Faster!" he said, but I still didn't take the uniform and just wore the clothes I wanted.
I quickly got dressed because I heard a knock at the door.
"I can't wait!" I screamed in annoyance, but all I heard was a soft laugh.
After I finished getting ready, I went out feeling unwell.
"Why are you wearing---"
"Stop!" I said, and he shook his head.
He came closer to me, grabbed both of my cheeks, and pulled me to make me smile. (Just understand.)
"Smile. You're frowning in the morning!" he said, and I immediately made an effort and shook his hand.
"Can I see you? Who wouldn't be annoyed!" I said, and he just grinned.
"Really? Maybe right now you won't be able to breathe because I'm so excited," he said, which immediately narrowed my eyes.
"Your problem, huh?! You're on drugs!" I said annoyed because it's true, not only am I thrilled now, but my chest is also beating too hard. At the same time, I'm also weirded out by this gay man.
"Tss. Let's go! Because of you, I'll be late today too," he said while pulling.
After we got off, I saw Dad putting on his coat, and it seemed like he was about to leave. I wondered why he hadn't brought his associates with him yet.
"You're late," Mommy said to us, as if what happened last night meant nothing.
"Yes, Aunt. Alright, we're leaving. Goodbye, Uncle," I said as Dad patted him on the shoulder. Dane was about to kiss Mommy when I pulled him away.
"Let's go!" I said seriously, and she just nodded at Mommy and followed me.
"Do you have a bruise? What happened?" This question weighed on my mind.
"Are you going to lecture me?" I asked in return.
"Well, no. If you tell me what happened to you," he said, and I simply shook my head.
"I don't want to talk about it, if possible," I replied. He sighed, opened the car door for me, and I got in.
"We're quiet. I don't want to talk at the moment because I might become even more irritated, and I could end up venting all my frustration on my unhelpful mother!"
