I decided to remain silent. We had just arrived at the infirmary and he opened the door without any problem. We saw Dr. Andressa at her desk, she turned and looked at us without understanding.

- What happened? - She asked without showing any concern.

- She's been hit in the stomach. - Alex answered her question, but he was very serious. He doesn't look the same as before.

- Put her on the bed. - He pointed to the bed.

The ward is a very spacious place, with five beds, a huge medicine cabinet, a freezer with serums and blood bags, a large table for the doctor to put her things on, such as her laptop, her bag and some patient files. There's also a bookcase with a lot of books on nursing.

He carried me to the bed and placed me carefully on it. The doctor approached with an ice pack, I lifted my shirt a little and let out a moan of pain as soon as it made contact with my skin.

It still hurts a lot.

- After the ice, I'll give you some medicine to take.

Why don't you give me some now? My stomach hurts a lot. That person who hit me must hate me a lot. Because the ball hit me straight.

I sighed and just agreed with her. She turned to Alex.

- You can go, darling. She'll be fine. - She said with a smile.

She's a good-looking beta, I'll give her that. Her hair is red, her skin color is white, she's a bit tall, she's probably around six feet tall, I don't know. I think what also stands out about her is the color of her light green eyes.

She's a very vain person, always taking care of her appearance, so she looks about thirty or even younger.

Alex moved even closer to me, totally ignoring her.

I couldn't formulate any words, none at all. I just watched him walk away without looking back, noticing the doctor's gaze on me.

How could he leave me behind like that?

The doctor went back to her desk, leaving me alone. I sighed and decided to get some sleep. I put the ice on the desk next to the beds, tidied myself up and soon fell asleep.

I woke up to feel a caress in my hair, which made me smile, because I already knew who it was.

- How was the game, Laura? - I opened my eyes and looked at her.

- It was total garbage. I ended up getting suspended. - I opened my eyes wide in surprise.

- What? Why? Why? You didn't do anything. - She sighed. - What did you do, Laura?

- The girl who threw the ball at you, right now she's on the court injured.

- And why is that? - I asked, but I don't think I want to know the answer.

- I spanked her. - My eyes just popped out.

- She started bad-mouthing you when Mr. Hottie took you to the infirmary. So that's why I hit her. - I sighed.

- Of course I should have, Aurora. That daughter of a bitch started calling you a bitch in front of everyone, and even went on to say that you were pretending to be in pain, just to be carried off by Alex.

I'm afraid that because of this big deal, my heat might end up coming faster. And I'm not prepared for that.

She helped me off the bed.

- I brought your things.

- Thank you. - She smiled.

We left the ward and out of nowhere she spoke.

- I think they're into you. - I stared at her without understanding.

- Who? - She rolled her eyes.

- The new guys.

My heart raced.

- W-What? Of course not, Laura. Where did you get that from? - She snorted.

- I noticed the way they were looking at you when you were hit by the ball. Girl, I confess I was scared of them, because the color of their eyes turned golden, and just so you know, you have Alex's scent all over you.

I was a little embarrassed.

- But of course, Laura. He's the one who carried me here, so it's only natural that his scent is on my body.

She gave a small smile.

- Now confess to me, you liked it, didn't you?

I smiled as I remembered the kiss he gave me on the forehead.

Now she's going to freak out even more.

- When he was leaving the infirmary, out of nowhere he came up to me and kissed my forehead, then left as if nothing had happened. And he's been calling me princess.

- Oh my God! Princess? This is going to be a date! It's going to happen! That's for sure. - She started jumping and shouting in the middle of the corridor.

- Shut the hell up! Keep it down. - I complain and she just laughs.

- This is going to be a date! - She ran off down the corridor and kept on saying it's going to be a date.

I deserve that. The person tells her to shut up, and the disgrace keeps shouting. But I confess that I liked the idea of dating, because I want an alpha to take care of me, to love me. But unfortunately the problem is my parents, especially my mother.

- Oh, my dear friend is almost dating.

- Don't travel, Laura.

- I'll have a hot dog. - I couldn't understand where this conversation was going.

- Out of the blue?

She shrugged, which made me sigh.

- We're just going home, my stomach still hurts.

- All right, let's go to the pharmacy, we can buy some medicine for stomach pains.

That made me laugh.

This girl really is no good, but I love her crazy way.
