Chapter 5 ♥ Chapter 5 ♥

Aurora Evans.

Wednesday.

The way home was quite difficult for me, I had to stop all the time because of the pain in my stomach. I still can't believe how bad someone can be. It wasn't my fault that the new boys were giving me a bit of attention, but that doesn't mean I have to be bullied. I can't take it anymore, if it's not at school, I'm being bullied at home by my parents. Especially with my mother.

The funny thing is that she always comes to talk to me as if nothing had happened. Of course I respond sympathetically, but I'll never forgive her for what she did to me. I've always liked turning into a wolf. My first transformation was when I was nine. I was playing in the yard when I saw a rabbit. I started running after it and the next thing I knew, I was in my wolf form.

I really miss running, feeling the wind in my face, feeling that sense of freedom. Unfortunately, I'll never have that again.

18:15 - Evans residence - USA - New York.

I've just entered the house, and I feel suffocated.

- I'm home! - Warning.

Laura came in with her face closed and I closed the door.

- Hello, my child. - I see my mother coming out of the kitchen with a smile.

- Hello, mom. - I said, not feeling very happy.

She looked at Laura, who was standing next to me.

- Hello, Laura. - She smiled gently at her.

- Hello, Mrs. Evans. - She greeted her with an even more fake smile.

- How was school today, dear? - She came walking towards me.

- Not very well. - I answered without looking at her.

- What happened?

I can't answer, she's too close.

- She was hit in the stomach. - Laura answered for me.

- Did she? Are you all right? - She put her hand on my arm.

I quickly pulled away.

- I'm fine, Mom. It's just a little pain. - She stared at me.

That bothered me.

- Why do I smell alpha on you? - I felt my body freeze. - You know I don't like you being around alpha, don't you?

Her serious look scared me.

I hate it when she does that, always trying to control me and, worst of all, I have to put up with it. Since I still haven't found my partner. No omega lupus could ever survive alone in this world.

- An alpha colleague took me to the infirmary, that's why I smell bad. - She looked at me suspiciously.

- Is that it?

- Yes, that's it.

I'll never tell her that this colleague is actually an alpha lupus. She'd quickly get me out of school.

- All right, go take a shower to get rid of that awful smell, and I'll bring you an ice pack.

How can she say it stinks? Dad's an alpha too. I really don't understand her.

- You don't need ice, they gave it to me when I was at school and I've taken the pain medication too.

- With what money? Because I didn't give you any today.

- I bought it for her, Mrs. Evans. - Laura handed the medicine to my mother.

She looked inside her bag and then turned her attention back to Laura.

- Thank you, Laura. Are you staying for dinner?

- If it's no trouble, Mrs. Evans.

- No bother at all, dear. I'm very happy to know that you're my daughter's friend. So you're always welcome here.

- Thank you, Mrs. Evans. - My mother smiled.

- And you don't have to call me Mrs. Evans all the time, dear. You can call me Amelia.

- Of course... Amelia.

She smiled and went into the kitchen, leaving us alone again.

- Your mother is too scary. - She whispered in my ear.

- Unfortunately. Anyway, let's go to my room.

My house is a two-storey house. Upstairs are the bedrooms, bathrooms and my father's office. Downstairs is the kitchen, the living room, there's a mini library, outside there's a swimming pool and a beautiful garden. My mother doesn't work; my father supports us. He's a businessman, he works with luxury cars. So we live well.

We went up to my room.

- If your mother knew that the smell on your body was alpha lupus, she'd surely freak out. - I sighed.

- Not only that, she'd remove me from school as a matter of urgency.

- I don't understand why your mother is so... crazy. - I shrugged.

- If you don't know, imagine me. I've never understood that.

We went into my room.

My room is very simple. It's a bit spacious, there's a double bed, a large closet, a desk for me to study at, on top of which are my notebook and my books. The floor is ceramic wood, I like the smell of wood, it's so good. I chose a dark blue color for the walls of my room, I love blue.

We sat on my bed and didn't say anything for a few minutes.

- Anyway, why don't you go and have a shower, in the meantime I'll try to help your mother in the kitchen.

- Good luck. - She laughed lightly.

- I've got to stay on her good side. What if she doesn't want me here anymore? I have to be nice to her.

- Try not to eat so much. - I joke, making her laugh.

- I can't promise anything.

- You're no good.

- And when did I ever suck? - That made me laugh.

- Never.

- That's right. - We laughed.

She got up and left the room, leaving me alone.

- Well, unfortunately it's time for a shower. - I said to myself.
