Chapter 6 Future price to pay

There's a project on board and Riley had to go undercover to one of their company's supermarket to investigate why productivity at the store had been low for the past year.She had to go undercover as a new salesperson transferred from another state.Bryan and Emma came along with Riley because Bryan had to be introduced to employees of that store as the new boss.

Riley, all settled in her salesperson uniform was ready to start her undercover job,as soon as she entered the store she went numb,she let go of everything she was holding and it fell down as she couldn't believe seeing Steve,her greatest enemy at the store with the tag that says store Supervisor on his uniform."Riley are you okay"?Emma asked,Riley nodes and said she was okay and that she just missed breakfast.She was introduced to Steve and the whole team that she was the new salesperson and that she has come to work with them,Emma then introduced Bryan as the new boss and told the team she'll be retiring and that he'll be taken over.Riley began settling down at the store and trying not to let her past life interrupt with the assignment she sent there to do,she knocked on Steve's office and Steve told her to come in.As soon as Riley entered he had a rather strange smirk on his face."Close the door behind you" he said. "Well! well! well!, I see we meet again,isn't life interesting?,I see you're just as sexy as ever,although you've put on a little weight, not watching your diet these days huh?",Steve said as he tried to touch Riley inappropriately.Riley was fuming with anger and wished nothing than to put him in his place but she couldn't risked blowing her cover or else her whole reason of coming there would go to waste.Steve kept looking for chances to harass Riley,he would constantly embarrass her in front of the other employees,after all those years Steve hadn't changed one bit,information gathered by Riley was that,Steve had been harassing the other female employees and embezzling the stores money.A week after Riley had been there,Emma and Bryan came there to finally put things in place for the store to be running smoothly again.All the employees had gathered at where the meeting will be held and it was time for Riley to come clean and reveal the main reason why she was there."Hey! how dare you stand where the bosses are standing,I'm sorry Madam Emma,I don't know where this girl gets her guts from,hey Riley, move back "said Steve as soon as Riley moved forward to where Bryan and Emma was standing.Emma immediately told Steve to shut up and that Riley had something to say, As soon as he heard this ,he became uneasy as the thought came into his mind that Riley might report him for harassment.Riley looked over at Steve and shook her head,she then told them who she was and proceeded to to tell them she posed as a sales girl to find out why the store had been facing so much loss and to see how the store was being controlled,she told them everything she had found out during her one week stay.The shock on everyone's faces was nothing compared to that of Steve's,he couldn't believe what was going on at that moment.After finishing everything she had to say,Riley walked up to Steve and said"Karma sure is a pain in the neck isn't it",Well Mr Steve,I only got one thing thing to say to you,Get Out!,,oh oh,are you deaf? cat bit your tongue?,I said go into the office pack your staff and leave",at that moment,Bryan knew there was something much more going on than just work related. Anger consumed Steve,he went into his office and and wrecked the whole office and shouting how dare Riley do that to him and that she was going to pay.Riley later that day told Bryan about her and Steve and how he was an abusive partner.
