Chapter 3 Renata's trauma

"Are you hungry or greedy?" That exclamation made Renata choke on her food and see who the person who had just said that to her was.

"Doctor Bastian!" Renata exclaimed, wiping the corners of her lips slightly.

"Why eat alone?" asked Bastian, who took a seat beside Renata.

Currently, Renata is having lunch alone in the hospital garden. Actually, I cannot say lunch because it is almost evening.

"I'm late for lunch, so I just eat alone," exclaimed Renata with a small smile.

"Just eating sandwiches?"

"Yes, this is quite filling," Renata exclaimed, drinking the packaged milk she bought.

Bastian smiled at Renata.

"Wh-why?" Renata asked confusedly while wiping every corner of her lips for fear that there would be leftover bread crumbs in the corners of her lips.

"Nothing!" Bastian exclaimed. "How old are you? Why are you still like a child?"

"I have to go to the bathroom!" ran as fast as lightning, leaving Bastian, who smiled happily for teasing Renata.

After Renata left, Bastian's smile turned into a cold and scary face. He took out his cell phone and received an incoming call that had been vibrating.

"I have no intention of destroying that girl. So stop giving orders. I'm not a Christian that you can manage however you want!" Bastian spoke in a low whisper.

"I told you, you guys just take care of Danial and the Gonemanus family. Don't bother me anymore!" Bastian said he was turning off the phone.

"Don't be afraid. Come with me," Bastian said, stroking Renata's head and leading her back into the hospital lobby. Bastian sees someone watching them. He was sure it was the guard assigned by the Wiratama family.

Bastian took Renata to sit on a chair near the elevator. He gave mineral water to Renata.

Renata took a long sip of her drink. And close the lid again when finished.

Am I better?" asked Bastian.

"You have trauma from lightning?" asked Bastian.

"Yes. When I was playing whitewater rafting, I fell and was carried away by the current of the river, and the situation was when it was raining heavily and there was lightning. I was very scared and almost helpless; if only Sis Regan didn't find me immediately," explained Renata with a small smile.

"Don't keep remembering it, so you don't get scared even more," said Bastian, and Renata just smiled a little.

"Oh yeah, you haven't gotten an invite yet."

"Not yet. My family's driver hasn't picked up my phone since earlier," Renata answered.

"Come on, I'll take you home."

"Are you serious? But have you finished work?" she asked.

"Yeah, I'm done with work. Come on, I'll take you home."

During that time, Renata tried hard to get rid of her fear of the thunder that kept blaring above her head. His hands clenched tightly, and his eyes closed.

Renata squealed slightly and opened her eyes when she felt a warm touch on her hand. He saw his hand in someone's big hand. Renata tilted her head so that her gaze met the jet-black eyes of the man in front of her.

Bastian smiled a little towards Renata, who was looking at him intensely.

"Don't be afraid," said Bastian.

Renata didn't even look away. He seemed to be adrift under Bastian's sharp gaze.

"I will remove your trauma. This lightning isn't that scary," said Bastian with a grin.

Renata was still frozen in place, as if giving Bastian a chance. With a slow movement, Bastian's hand, which was not holding Renata's hand, let go of its seatbelt. Then he leaned toward Renata. He pressed his lips against Renata's. At first, Renata was quite surprised, but she couldn't refuse or dodge. Renata could only close her eyes.

Seeing Renata's response, Bastian grinned a little as he crushed the plain girl's ripe lips. His hands held Renata's nape and pressed it to make their kiss deeper.

Bastian turned his face away and returned to his seat. They both smiled, and Renata immediately looked away with a blush on her cheeks.

Bastian cleared his throat slightly as he put his seatbelt back on. At that moment, the car in front of him was already moving, making Bastian step on the gas.

"Just now-" Renata was unable to continue her words.

"Think of it as reciprocation when I helped you in Bali. Erm, and it can be a sedative when your trauma relapses," said Bastian casually. Meanwhile, Renata felt that she was almost fainting because her heart was beating as if it wanted to jump out of its place.

Renata got out of the car. He was still standing by the car until it started to move. Renata waved her hand at Bastian.

On the second floor, Dave was seen watching them from behind the window while smoking his cigar. His eagle gaze kept watching Bastian's car as it left Villa's driveway.
