Chapter 7 Marvin

Marvin was nominated for school prefect when he reached his final year in school. He worked with diligence and fairness. He was loved by his classmates because he was a good friend of theirs and always made sure they didn't get in trouble. The final exams were drawing nearer, so Marvin organized some classes to help his friends at his house. He told his parents about it and they agreed. The next day, they came to his house, and Lucy made some sweet and delicious cookies for them, they thanked her and they complimented his mom. He taught them everything and they left home. Lucy asked Marvin how school was today, and he replied that everything was fine and interesting. Elliot took them to the mall on Saturday since he had been working throughout the week and thought of being with them this Saturday for a small family outing. They went to buy ice cream closer to the main and they headed back to the clothing center to buy some new clothes. Marvin chose some cargo pants, boxers, a cap, and sneakers. Lucy wasn't the fashion type so she just picked a random dress and sunglasses to match. Elliot saw that her things weren't plenty like theirs he picked some bracelets and jewelry from the shelves. Marvin loves his new cargo pants and plans on wearing it to Masha's party tomorrow. He forgot that he hadn't asked for permission to the party. He thought of this time being the best time to ask for permission since everyone was happy. He told his parent about the party and asked if he could go, and they agreed to let him go. Elliot said the driver would drop him off and come for him after the party, Marvin was happy and called Masha and told him he would be coming to the party tomorrow. Immediately Stephanie came there and asked Marvin to come dance with her. Marvin went to the dance floor with her and started dancing with her. Masha looked sad and left to throw up in the bathroom and wash her face so that no one saw that she had cried. The party was over and the driver came to pick him up and he went home. Marvin ponders over why Lucy looks so unhappy at the party. He thought of asking her when he got home. He reached home and went to knock on his parent's room his dad opened the door for him and asked how the party went, he said everything went cool. He asked where his mom was and his dad said she had gone for a check-up at the hospital. Marvin then went to his room washed down and called Masha but it wasn't too g through. He took a book to read and he fell asleep. He woke up to see his phone ringing and he picked it up, It was Masha. He asked her if everything was fine she said yes and they changed the topic to something else about studies. They talked for a while and Marvin told her he would call later and needed to do something for his mom. He heard a knock at the door, it was his mom she was looking happy. Lucy told Marvin to come downstairs for dinner and there was a great news she had for him.

Marvin went downstairs and sat down for the evening meal. Lucy broke the news to them, she was pregnant and the doctor said it was a girl. Marvin was happy because he would have a sister of his own soon. Elliot was extremely happy he didn't even know what to do. He hugged Lucy and gave her a kiss on the cheeks. She has become fat because of the baby and eats a lot. They finished the meal and Marvin packed everything into the kitchen and washed the plates. The next day at school, Marvin saw that Masha had been ignoring him, and he didn't know why, he hadn't done anything wrong to her too. He asked Stephanie if everything was okay with her friend Masha. Stephanie said everything was perfectly fine. He went to class then and took his textbooks to answer some questions since the next day the exams start. He went to the library after school to check something when he met Masha there. Marvin got closer to her and asked what was wrong she still insisted that everything was perfectly okay. He agreed but asked her why she had been ignoring him since morning. Masha said nothing she just wanted to be alone. He said okay and took his leave. Masha felt sorry for him and tears started flowing from her eyes. Marvin got home and felt a little uneasy. His mom saw that he was feeling unusual and asked what was wrong and he explained everything to his mom. Lucy understood him and told him everything was fine, he just had to do what Masha said just let her be. He thanked his mom and went to his room to wash down and learn for tomorrow's exams. After learning he came down to eat his meal and revised small and fell asleep. The next day, his mom prepared his favorite meal for him. He ate everything and thanked his mom, Lucy wished him the best of luck today, and the driver drove him to school. He got to school placed his bag down and rushed to the headmaster's office to take the papers to his class since the invigilators were waiting so they started the exam. He got to his class the papers were shared and they were asked to start work. Marvin already knew the answers to the questions since he had learned that topic well. The bell rang for stop work and everyone got out. Some couldn't answer the questions, some complained that it was difficult. Marvin took his bag and went to the library and did some research. He came out and saw the driver, entered the car and left home. Was left with few papers to write then he went to college. He doesn't want to leave his mom and dad and the newborn baby coming. He needs to talk to his parents about this. Elliot came home feeling extremely happy. He has gotten a big contract and will be away for 2 weeks. He was sad about traveling, he was going to leave his family. He spread the news when they were eating. Everyone was happy but sad about him traveling. Marvin thought of not saying his own now it could wait for another day. Lucy was sad because she would miss her husband and this was the time he needed him more to deliver. He promised to call them always and if anything he will come soon. She felt okay after hearing what he said and hugged him. They finished eating and Marvin went to his room did his research for the assignment and slept. Meanwhile, in his parent's room, Lucy was feeling sad she was acting moody and asked him to promise that he would call and check-up. Elliot placed her head on his chest massaged her head and told her he would do all that she had said. She fell asleep after that.
