Chapter 8 The Tomb

Clara could be seen trying to trace the ancient tomb with the help of a dark compass she was holding. After casting a spell the compass point North and she started walking towards the North province with Jude who follow her closely.

"How far are we to the tomb" Jude asked Clara frustratingly. He seems tired of running around aimlessly in the wood.

"We will get there in no time" she replied in an assuring manner.

After walking for another 200kilometer in the woods. The compass started vibrating vigorously.

"What's that?" Jude asked raising his brow.

"I think we are there" she replied pointing towards a desert that was ahead of them.

"How could this be the place?" Jude asked.He couldn't believe there was a tomb here because he and the other vampires do hunt here.

"Never underrate mother creature" Clara answered smugging.

"But this is a desert. And it is very close to the motal's territory"Jude said again.

"Will you continue with your questions or allow me to concentrate?" She asked coldly.

"Just do what you have to do" Jude replied looking away.

Clara drop the compass and started chanting some spells. She cut her own wrist with a knife and she spill a drop of her blood on the ground.

The ground started twirling to the extent that it nearly throw both of them away. While this was happening Clara manage to avoid falling over.

She didn't stop and she was chanting the spell even louder than before. The ground as if listening to her chantings started shaking.

BANG....

There was a loud sound like the clicking of mechanism.

After some minutes a big tomb started coming out of the ground slowly until the full view is out.

"Wow! This is a catacombs, it looks menacing. The aura coming out of it is so powerful that I could barely breathe" Jude exclaimed taking a step backward.

"Don't be too excited, there is danger everywhere in the tomb" Clara replied.

"But this a tomb, everything in there is supposed to be long dead" Jude said.

"Just don't loose guard, lost souls may be lurking around" Clara said to him as she move toward the tomb's door.

She placed her hand on the metallic door of the tomb. She pushed hard but the door wouldn't burge.

She try harder and some demonic murmuring could be heard coming from the heart of the tomb.

"This is not going to be easy, I can't force the door open" said Clara as she remain vigilant.

"This is the easiest thing ever" Jude reply as he move closer to the metallic door.

"You can't break it" she told him.

"Let's see to that" he replied raising his fist up.

He release a powerful punch on the metallic door.

"B...O..O..M" the impact of his punch cause an ear breaking sound.

The door didn't burge at all. Jude look at his and right fist and saw that it has been dislocated.

"Arrrrgg" he groan.

"I told you but you won't listen"Clara sighed. She move closer to him, place one of her finger on his wound and it started heal at a visible rate.

"Thanks" he said but he didn't receive an answer.

Clara place her palm on the metallic door again and she started chanting the Hell breaking spells.

Her eyes turns deep green, the weather change at once and she was thrown away by an invincible force. The force was so great that she cough out blood.

Jude move closer to her quickly and help her up. she tried again and the door refuse to open.

"I don't believe I couldn't break you into pieces" she said as she try it the third time. The sound of metal clicking fill the atmosphere and the door was unlocked.

"Huh!! at last" Clara said as she wink at Jude who was lost admiring the inner of the tomb.

"Don't touch anything here,if you want us to get out alive"she warned.

"Seeing may be deceiving sometimes" she added.

"Is this a tomb or paradise?" Jude asked touching a sketch of a monster that was on the wall of the tomb And the monster emerged out of the wall.

"Roar....!!" The two headed monster roared as it shot a deadly glance at Clara and Jude.

"Holy shit" Jude said calling Clara's attention.

"What!!"she exclaimed.

"I told you not to touch anything here" she added angrily as she position herself ready to fight.

"Am sorry, but what are we going to do now, the deed is done already?" He shouted as he also took a fighting stance.

"We fight to stay alive"she answered at once.

The monster roared and they were thrown away by the wave of it's voice, hitting their back on the hard wall of the tomb.

"Fighting this is death sentence" Jude said as he tried to get up coughing out blood in the process.

"We must fight or we are gonna die. He's faster than us" Clara said when she saw the monster charging at them.

"Die witch" roared the monster.

The monster threw it's fist at Clara but she dodged the punch. Jude was not lucky enough to dodge. The monster change it attack and deliver an elbow with it's left hand into Jude's stomach and he split out blood, dying the wall of the tomb red.

Clara seeing to advantage of it and kick the monster but it has no effect on it.

The monster face her and made to swept her leg off the ground but she was fast enough to levitate upward to match the monster height.

The monster seeing this smirk and punch her mid air. she crashed on the wall entering another passage.

The monster tried to follow her but it receive a weak punch from Jude who has struggled to get up on his feet.

The monster let out a wicked grin and kick him away towards the wall.Before he could bounce on the wall the monster as teleported there and he punch him really hard breaking his spine.

He landed beside the weak Clara who was chanting some spell, the monster walk towards them slowly and tried to finish them off but Clara said the last sentence of the spell.

An illusionary lion was formed and the lion blocked the monster's last attack. The lion take on the monster and they fought for five minutes before the monster finally tear the lion apart with it's claw.

Jude stood up to attack again. His wound was healing slowly.

The monster charge at them with anger. Clara quickly create a two edge spear with her Magic, she spin it as she also charge at the monster, she feign a thrust at the monster's stomach. It tried to block the attack with it's left and but Clara threw the spear upward.

The monster try to dodge to avoid a critical wound. The spear pierced it right eye and it groan.

Clara made to take advantage of that to kick the monster but the it picked her up and slammed her on the wall and she broke few bones.

Jude attack the monster with all his speed, punching the monster constantly, the monster threw a random kick backward with his leg and Jude flew away.

The monster remove the spear from his eye and his wound heal started healing at an insane speed.

The monster attack them with cruelty. Beating the hell out of them. He gave a rib cutting punch to Jude and he crash on the wall, his hand mistakenly touch a dragon sketch on the wall.

The dragon emerged from the wall, it roared and the tomb tremble. it flung Jude away and he landed with a great thud.

The monster was about to kill Clara but it was attacked by the dragon. they both engaged in a fight and Clara escape into the tomb passage with jude.

After running for sometime clara sat down in the passenge with Jude who was dying slowly.

"If I told you not to do something some other time you will learn how to obey" Clara said gasping.

"Just heal this wound I'm dying" Jude said in a low voice.

Clara chanted a spell and her eye started glowing.She touch Jude and his wound started healing rapidly.

"Thank you" Jude said after his wound as been heal completely.

"Let's look for Kyle's body" Clara said and they both venture deep into the tomb.

They search for two hours without seeing anything.

"I don't think his body is here" Jude said to Clara. He doesn't want to spend a seconds more in the tomb.

"It is definitely here" Clara replied.

" How sure are you?"Jude asked. Looking around sluggishly.

"99.9 percent" Clara replied.

"Clara we need to run" Jude said panicking when he saw two dreadful arch angels guarding a body.

"We are not going back now, that is Kyle's body" she replied happily when she also saw the arch angels herself.

"What are we going to do now?" Jude asked.

"Those things are dangerous" he added.

"See you, we fight of cause" Clara replied with a grin.

"We stand no chance against them" Jude said.

"Trust me we aren't dying here" she replied as she walk towards the arch angels.

"Let's fight then" said Jude following Clara.

"Can I have that body" she asked the arch angels.

The arch angels look at each other before answering her

"You're not welcome here" they said in unison. Looking at Clara and Jude in disdain.

"That means?" She asked feeling offended.

"You leave or you get killed. Our patients has limit" they replied drawing out their swords.
