Chapter 4 Katrina Finds Hope and meets Alpha

Katrina

I woke up to see the kind man lying close to me. I got uncomfortable because I wasn't used

to sleeping with anyone else.

I struggled to get away from his grip but it was firm. So I gently tapped him, waking him up

from sleep.

As soon as he opened his eyes, he hurriedly sat up. "Are you okay? Little one. I nodded.

His care softened my heart.

No one has shown me this love and affection before.

"Great, he said. You will get better in no time," he says, flashing a cute genuine smile. But I

shyly looked away,

I didn't want to look at him in his eyes, there's something about him that draws me close to

him.

"Who are you?" I asked, trying to cover up the tension that was forming between us.

"Call me Alpha Williams. And can you tell me your cute name too?" "Katrina" I responded

shyly.

Sweet name for a luna, " he commented looking at me in a cute way.

What happened to you?" he asked sternly, from the look on his face, he was serious.

"Please don't hurt me! I'll behave!" I quickly let out. I was in pain to face another punishment.

"I will never hurt you, little mate. You're my world, I will not let any harm come to you again.

He reassured me.

"Do you know me? I questioned. How come you're making all these promises and also

calling me a mate? "Do I look like someone you know? I couldn't help but ask.

Do you know what a mate is?" he asked, looking confused.

"You have a scent of a wolf, Scent like a real w-wolf?" I don't even understand what he was

saying".

"Why did you call me your mate? I asked again. I wanted to make sure that he knew what he

was doing.

Feeling uncomfortable, he held my hands and reassured me again, "I won't hurt you,

Katrina, trust me okay." I was still nervous but I nodded.

"Okay little mate, ask me any questions you want to ask, trust me, I will answer every one of

them. And if I ask you and you're not comfortable with it just shake your head okay?

"Okay, I said. What do you want me to ask? She looked at me with her blue beautiful eyes.

"Right now it will be okay, already knowing what she wanted to ask.

"You're handsome," she complimented me. I lifted up my head. "Wow! I exclaimed, smiling . I

didn't see that coming.

She was surprised at my smiles and at the same time smiled genuinely.I liked it and It felt

incredible.

Maybe, I can't trust you. She said,

"And you have the cutest blue eyes I have ever seen, they are beautiful, and I love them".

"Really? "I haven't really looked at them. She pouted out smiling.

"Now, what's your question? I asked her.

"What's a mate? And why am I your mate?" .

First, "You're my mate, and a mate is your soulmate, your complete self, or your other half.

They are made perfectly for us by the moon goddess, they have an unbreakable bond. You

feel safe with them,

secure, and fulfilled,"I stated.

"We are mates," I added. "But how did you know that we're mates? She asked, looking

confused.

"Well, you know through how they scent, mates have a particular unique scent that only their

soulmate can smell.

Also, you will know through the sparks and the tingles whenever they touch each other.

I understand this. It makes sense to me now. I felt the sparks and tingles and also the

scents. "So, you're my mate? I like it". She blurted excitedly.

I could look at her forever, "She's such a sweet angel".

She smiled and took my big hands into her small hands. "Are we now like mom and dad?

Like husband and wife? Her questions made me burst out laughing so hard "Well, that's

correct, little mate.

Like that, mom and dad.. Husband and wife. I repeated in between laughs. I haven't laughed

like this in a while. She's actually the light of my life.

"Why are you laughing? She inquired. Well, you are so adorable. I replied.

Alright then, "i want to know more about my husband and when we'll be having our wedding"

she requested.

"Moon goddess, you've given me a mate with a good sense of humor. I thought.

"You know my name already, I am the alpha of the Crystal Lake pack. "Like, president or a

leader? She interrupted me.

"Yes, more like a leader". I answered. And she smiled. My father, Alpha Jacob Blackwood,

and my mother Luna Lauren Blackwood. They were leading this pack but retired.

As their son, I took over the leadership of this pack to protect and build. And I have two

worrisome and lovely sisters. Soon you will meet the rest of my family.

"I can't wait to meet them," she said excitedly.

Now, can I ask you a question? Yes! She answered.

"What happened to you and how did you end up with all these injuries all over your body?"

Her face saddened, oh!, baby you don't have to talk if you're not yet ready okay? But I would

like to know so I can punish whoever that has caused you pain."

His expressions melted my heart. I haven't felt care and love all my life. "Where were you all

these while? She asked as tears formed in her eyes.

"I was running when I mistakenly knocked a big sharp stone, I will tell you everything when I

am strong enough, okay? She assured me.

One more question, before you eat okay? She nodded excitedly. "You have the scent of a

wolf", a powerful Wolf like me. "Who's your father?

"I smell like a wolf? She asked, looking all confused. But how did you know?

"I'm a wolf, I could smell the difference". I said.

"I haven't seen a wolf all my life and I don't know any. "I don't even know what they look like"

she chipped in.

"Well, something is off because you smell like an alpha."
