Chapter 2 Katrina in danger

I ran quickly, as fast as I could, but scared at the same time. I wanted to go deep into the

woods where my parents would not find me.

My parents knew that I wouldn't dare run away because of how timmed I am. Moreover, the

last time I tried to run, they caught me without much trouble.

But now, I am in trouble. If they lay their hands on me, I will be a dead meat.

As I hit a big stone, I slowed down. Bursting into tears

Feeling very exhausted. I could barely move my legs as I felt a sharp pain in my ankle.

I bent down to touch and massage it, I felt something wet, as I looked closely, it was red, my

blood. I was badly injured when I hit that sharp stone.

I was losing blood, and fast. I try to stop the bleeding

by tearing a part of my clothes and tying it around the injured part. It was painful.

Huffing in pain, I kept the pressure, knowing that it would help me from losing more blood.

After what seemed to be an hour of leaping, I started to get exhausted. Counting the minutes

to die.

So I looked around and saw a big rock and sat on it. Pulling my knees up to my chest to

keep me warm as I had started getting cold.

Unable to rest, the thought of everything that had happened to me kept playing in my head. I

couldn't even believe that I was here all alone, a girl like me who didn't know a thing about

life could make this type of decision.

Now, here I am, wounded and all alone in the middle of the woods. I had started regretting it.

What was the worst,What would have happened if I had gone home? Beat me till I die? But

isn't it better than to be here not knowing where to go and what to do?

So, I sat there until I was taken up by a restless sleep. I woke up in the morning, everywhere

was now brighter, unlike the time I came here.

Birds fly from one branch of a tree to another.it is a very beautiful place. " I think I like it

here," I thought.

I was still mesmerised by the beauty of nature when I heard someone shouting "Rogue"!

"Rogue!!" I was frightened. "What is rogue? Is it a dangerous person? I wanted to run but my

ankle couldn't let me. So, I covered my mouth with my hands waiting for the rogue to come.

Unfortunately, it never came. I was the rogue? How? I'm just Katrina who ran away from her

abusive parents because I didn't do what they asked me to do very well.

"How did I turn out to be a rogue? I watched in fear as two huge guys walked up to me,

ready to fight.

"Sorry. I am not a rogue. My name is Katrina, I ran away from my parents. I said in between

tears. I'm not the person you are looking for.

I think that my innocent explanation got them confused as they looked at each other before

asking me to come with them.

Fearfully, I followed them, managing to walk. so when we got to the entrance of a beautiful

environment. I was scared I hoped that my dad didn't send them.

So we got to a giant luxurious mansion and I was asked to sit by the corridor while the other

guy left me with the other person watching closely.

I was sitting in my studies, doing all the paperwork that comes with being an Alpha. My

father, Alpha Jacobs Blackwood had resigned after many years of leading and protecting our

pack. Crystal Lake pack.

I took over him, protecting my pack fiercely. I was trained with the finest warriors and I can

beat that no Wolf dares to challenge me.

My Beta, Johanna mind linked me, my second in command and my very loyal friend since

childhood.

"Alpha, the guards caught a rogue.

"How did they enter my territory? Don't they have fear? I asked, getting angry.

"I don't know, Alpha. "Do you want to come see for her yourself? She's downstairs."

"Her? Hmm.. I'm coming". I ended the mind link. Meanwhile, I noticed that my Wolf was

restless, I couldn't fathom why but I didn't bother asking if he wasn't going to tell me anyway.

Ever since, I rejected my first mate which led to her death. My Wolf had become unbearable.

Walking the hallway, I catch the scent of the rogue and an intoxicating smell of vanilla and

strawberries, the most remarkable scent, that's difficult to resist.

Again Moon goddess has given me a second chance mate. My first mate got pregnant with a

vampire's child and I rejected her. She killed herself, unable to bear the shame. Since that

day, I hated mates and didn't want to have any ever again.

Mate! My Wolf shouted!

I began to increase my pace. I wanted to see what she looked like. As I opened the last door

to the outside corridor, I saw her, holding her legs to her chest. Hummering a song I guess.

As soon as I wanted to touch her, "Please don't hurt me. "Please, don't hurt me". She

Pleaded, repeatedly.

Her red hair was dirty and tangled she fearfully got up her big blue eyes looking around.

I must confess, she's very gorgeous even in her u kept state.so I carefully touched her

Sparks erupted from our touch. "Mate! I muttered.

I couldn't believe that I would turn this soft towards a mate.

"Please! Please don't hurt me!" My mate pleas, looking

scared for her life. I couldn't help but scan her with my eyes from head to toe.

Then, I noticed that her ankles were tied with a blood stain on the fabric. "Don't be scared, I

won't hurt you," I try to soothe her as much as I can.

My heart melted for her. All I wanted was to protect and comfort her. I slowly walk near her,

and she seems like she is about to pass out so I quickly put my arms over her back.

"Pl.. Please..." she passed out. "Little mate, please don't pass out on me! I pleaded. Then

she closed her eyes and went lifeless.
