Chapter 5 the courage

Chapter 5

I just smiled as I followed him. Damon will f'freethrow now because he fouled. He dribbled the ball and scored it. There was a loud scream when he inserted it. The ball is returned to him for the second free throw. He dribbled the ball but suddenly stopped when he was about to shoot. He faced me and was meowing with the ball stuck to his side

I was suddenly nervous. I don't want Damon to smile like this for sure he will do something about it! And I wasn't wrong. He smiled widely while staring at me "Where's my cheer babe?" he shouted causing people to follow the direction he was looking at. I can feel the shame and the nervousness in my heart. I feel like I've outgrown the tomato in my red face.

I snuggled up to Luna's side who was now hitting my legs because she was thrilled.

"Babe, come on! Give me my cheer, I'm going to be violated" Damon scratched his eyebrows and was happy to see the reaction on my face!!

I closed my eyes and even though I couldn't understand what was happening, I looked him in the eye. "Go Babe" I mouthed the words to him. His smile widened. He threw the ball without taking his eyes off me. I was stunned when the free throw went in. I stood up and applauded because of his talent. He smiled at me before running to the other ring.

My smile didn't go away until the game was over. They won Damon. I quickly went to the cr because I had been holding my urine for a while, I actually finished the game before cr. When I arrived at the court, I first saw Damon who seemed to be looking for something. I hid a little to observe him. He is really handsome. He hasn't done anything yet, my heart is too nervous.

Damon frowned as he looked at every student and corner of the court. It seems he didn't find what he was looking for. He walked over to the announcer's table and took the microphone.

"Hi" he said because of this people looked at him. He smiled before speaking.

Playboy move!!

"I'm looking for my cheerleader" I suddenly stood up properly because of what I heard from him. "Villafuerte, I'm waiting here on the announcer's table. Come to me" he said while looking around. I heard some whispers from the students.

I held my heart because it was pounding so hard when I looked up, Damon and I immediately met our eyes. His smile widened.

"Oh there you are! I already found my cheerleader" she was still waving so you thought I didn't see her. He dropped the microphone and ran in my direction. I looked around looking for a place to hide but I seemed to be frozen when I felt Damon lock me in his arms. I could feel the speed of his heartbeat but mine was still faster. He hugged me tighter. I don't know if I should hug him back.

"You're sweaty, Damon" I teased him when I felt his sweat on my body.

He just chuckled on my ear and hide his face on my neck.

"Hey! Don't PDA there or we'll be scolded" I snorted here but he didn't seem to hear anything.

"Say you're cheer earlier Kim. I wanna hear it with your voice" he said calmly while still hugging.

I was speechless because of what he said.

Damn this beautiful man! He knows how to shut my mouth!!!

"Come on. I wanna hear it with your voice Kim" he pleaded again.

I don't know where I got the courage to speak, but when Damon said it, he immediately followed me.

"Go, babe" I whispered here. I heard his hoarse but soft laugh.

"I love to hear it over and over again" he said before separating from me. He caressed my hair.

"Go. Change your clothes and wait for me on the parking lot. I'm just gonna change" he ordered me again. I just nodded at what he said and the next thing I knew I was in the parking lot waiting.

Because of the tiredness, I chose to sit on the bench and hug my knees and rest my head there. I closed my eyes. I woke up to someone stroking my hair. When I looked, I was sitting on Damon's shoulder. I adjusted my seat and noticed the dusk.

"I fell asleep?" I ask here

Damon just nodded and fixed my stray hairs. He put it behind my ear.

"Why didn't you wake me up" I complained here.

"You look so beautiful when you're sleeping. I don't have the heart to wake you up knowing how tired you are" he said and pulled me closer to him. I quickly took my hand back from him. I saw the shock on his face.

"Sorry, don't you want to touch it?" he avoided looking at me. I quickly shook my head.

"No, its just that..." I couldn't finish what I was going to say. Damon looked at me and waited for me to finish my statement. I took a deep breath and bravely looked at Damon

"It's just that my heart beats so loud when you're near! It's like.... it's like there are places chasing my heart" I stuttered to explain

Little by little, a smile appeared on Damon's lips

"And?" He asked me with raised eyebrows "Ahhh... I can't understand my stomach when you touch me, I feel like I want to pee, I don't know"

"And?"

"My knees get weaker whenever you smile and close the distance between us" I said and looked away from him because I couldn't stop feeling happy the way he was staring at me.

"Like this?" he said and came to me. I hit him on the arm in annoyance.

"Damon!!!!" I was annoyed to call him because he came again but he just laughed.

He stood in front of me and took my hand and stood me up. Our eyes meet. He stared at me intently and finally smiled. I held my breath when he suddenly hugged me.

"Get used to this Kim cause I won't let any other man come close to you like this. I'll make you mine Kim" he whispered in my ear before he hugged me tightly and buried his face in my neck.

I was deaf to what he said. I heard what he said but I didn't seem to understand. Only "I'll make you mine" remained in my mind. Even though it was a mess, I couldn't stop smiling.

"I'll make you mine" I think I'll like this!

I just woke up and I'm still yawning going down the stairs. I stretched out one hand while the other scratched my head.

I stopped what I was doing when I saw a beautiful pair of hazel brown eyes.

What is he doing here?

I dropped my hands and quickly turned around. I heard my brothers laugh because of what I did. I returned to the room. When I leaned against the door, I immediately grabbed my heart because it was pounding hard again. I fixed myself but I was restless. I walk back and forth and stomp in annoyance.

Shame! Damon saw me looking like that! I sat down and snorted because even though I wanted to go out, I couldn't because I was ashamed of Damon. I dropped my body on the bed and stared at the ceiling.

I sat down when there was a knock on my door one after another. I didn't pay attention to it at first but when the knocking didn't stop, I got up and opened the door.

I was stunned when Damon's handsome face opened up to me. The smile he gave me was beautiful. I closed my mouth and swallowed. I held my breath because of the fear in my heart.

"You are a little far away" I said here. He just stared at me and seemed surprised at what I said. "My heart is failing again so you're a little far away" I said angrily. I saw the joy in his eyes and smiled teasingly at me before taking two steps back.

"Your older brothers picked you up. They say breakfast is ready," he said. I couldn't look at Damon so I bowed and left the room. He was just behind me and when he was too close I looked at him. He just shook his head but also backed away because he knew the effect he had on me.

We entered the dining area together. Mom, Dad and my two brothers turned to us at the same time. I glared at them when I saw their mocking smile. I approached our parents and kissed their cheeks.

I stood next to Daddy but I was surprised when Damon also stood next to me.

My gosh!!! You've been messing up my system all morning.

I looked at him badly. "You're there brother" I said here. Damon scratched his head before shaking his head. I looked at my parents who were now also looking at us. I don't know what to say.

"Mom, Pa. This is Damon" I introduced myself.

"We know him already. He introduced himself earlier" Mama said smiling.

I looked at Damon as he put vegetables and rice on my plate. He also added eggs and bacon to it.

I slapped his hand when I saw that he was going to add more to my rice.

"I don't eat rice and veggies. I don't eat breakfast to be specific" when I informed here.

It just raised an eyebrow at me.

"Not today. Eat" he said seriously and looked at my plate. I held my breath and did nothing but eat. I heard Damon chuckle before eating with me.

I was chewing when I saw all my family looking at me and watching me in shock.

"I think I'll invite you hijo every morning to have breakfast with us" Papa said laughing.

"Congratulations! You have followed a Kimberly Mae Villafuerte. She hates veggies" Kuya Ethan followed what Papa said.

"Don't talk" I said to Brother Vincent when I saw that he would also participate. He just rolled his eyes at me.

My family continued to ask Damon questions during the meal while I forced myself to chew the food he put on my plate. I feel his look every time I take a bite of food.

After a few bites, I stopped eating. I can feel Damon's gaze that's why I don't look back at him.

"Damon, oh don't want it" Brother Vincent said here. I didn't wait for Damon to speak and quickly grabbed the spoon and fork to continue eating.

I could see the satisfaction on my brothers' faces when they saw that Damon was following me.

I hate this!!! Why is this man here at home!

"Why are you here?" I asked here and took my glass to drink

"He asked for our permission to court you" Papa said smugly.

I immediately spit out the water in my mouth when I heard what Papa said.

"Kim" Brother V said angrily when he was splashed with water.

I coughed because of Papa's words but my system lost even more when Damon suddenly grabbed my face and brought it to him. Holding the table napkin, he wiped my face that was wet from the splash of water.

Shit, Damon!!!!!!!!

I want to scream because of the shame I feel because of what he is doing in front of my family. I saw them just watching us with teasing smiles on their lips.

"Are you okay?" it asked me after wiping me I closed my eyes before standing up and leaving the table. I could hear Papa and my brothers laughing because of what I did when I walked out.

"You look like a tomato Kim" Brother Vincent shouted.

I was annoyed to go to the garden and step on my foot. I took a deep breath and felt my heart beat.

I turned back when I felt a gentle caress in my hair. It was Mommy.

"You know what baby, I can see myself in you when your dad and I started dating" he said with a smile.

"Do you like him?" Mom asked directly. I snorted and nodded to mom. She laughed at my response

"You're now a lady baby. It's okay" he said

"No Mama! It's hard for me when he's there because my heart beats so hard then when he's near or he touches me my knees go soft. I like him Mama but I don't think I can stand his effect on me" I said with a frown.

"That's how I was with your dad before. My heart felt like it was pounding and I felt like there were butterflies in my stomach. I felt cold when our skin touched" I looked at mom because that's how I feel. She sweetly smiled at me.

"Kim, it's normal. You're feeling that way because you like him. Enjoy the moment while it's there. It's better to release your true feelings. Your emotions are being heightened because you restrained yourself to feel it. Embrace the feeling baby. Being in love is the most beautiful feeling you could ever experience" she kissed my cheeks before leaving my side.

I just sighed and sat in the garden. I looked up when a hand rested on my head. Damon's smiling face greeted me. I smiled at him too.

He caressed my cheek before he sat down on the chair in front of me.

"Did I shock you?" it asked. I noticed the reddening of his cheeks.

"Kinda. You didn't say you were coming"

"If I said would you agree? Will you send me?" he asked with raised eyebrows. I shook my head in response to him

"See. I told you Kim I'll make you mine" he said directly. "I want that kind of reaction only to me"

I looked away because of what he said.

"So, can I court you babe?" I looked back at him.

"Babe? We don't even have an endearment yet" I complained here
