Chapter 4 Apart

CHAPTER 4 Liam walks out of the office angrily, several thoughts cross his mind as he tries to figure out why this has happened to him. He knows for sure that he was very hardworking and doesn't slack with his work given to him. He continues to hear whispers till he leaves the company. Walking ahead, he gets to a public bench and settles down to think, his dismissal letter in his hands. Trying to think of who was powerful enough to do this, his mind travels to who he had offended these past few days. He hissed loudly, suddenly remembering Anderson.

His mind travels to how Anderson had promised to teach him a lesson. What the fuck does he want again? He had taken his wife and now his job. Several emotions ran through him as he felt like teaching Anderson a good lesson but refrained from it. He couldn't let Hazel find out about his real identity. He felt like killing Anderson. That guy had taken everything he cared about and was still turning everyone against him. With how things were now, it was going to be hard for him to get another job in the city. His plans earlier were working his ass off to get a capital for his business but as it was now, the table had turned. He was still seated there trying to figure out his life when his phone buzzed. He glanced at the screen so that it was his uncle. "How are you?" He heard Arnold, his uncle. "I am fine uncle," he said, earning a scoff from his uncle. He knew Liam was going to say that he had a spy following Liam and knew of his current problems. His uncle was more like a father figure to him, after Liam was exiled he made sure to hire a spy just so he could know how Liam was doing. He had gotten a call a few minutes ago from the spy saying Liam was in a dilemma as a powerful person in the city had ordered that Liam shouldn't be hired anywhere. Arnold had called almost immediately, he wanted Liam to get back to their city and take up his role as the sole heir. The workload was much on Arnold as he was already getting old, unfortunately, the only son he had wanted to go into entertainment and not business. Arnold tried convincing Liam to get back home but he refused. Liam had several plans and knew that this city was very marketable, he had offended Grandpa Brooker and he had to do something to please his grandfather before going back. He didn't want to act like the prodigal son, going back home with nothing. "Uncle, I have a very strategic business plan. I will forward all I have documented. All I need is capital." He explained to his uncle. His uncle beams happily as the business was going to be profitable. His uncle was very sensitive when it comes to making more money. Its profit was over one hundred million dollars. Liam says all he wanted was capital and that was why he was working hard. Arnold scoffs and says he was willing to borrow Liam the capital and they bother to agree. Arnold promises to come to Liam's city for some final documentation and planning before ending the call. Hazel packs her belongings with muffled tears as she didn't want to live with Anderson. After her divorce, she had been forced to go on dates with Anderson and she feels wary of the guy. He seems so selfish and doesn't even care about her. She remembers how Liam was always kind and soft with her, Anderson was the opposite and he seems very off around her. She doesn't know why but he just seems like a very bad man! Her mother comes and stares at her with annoyance. "Why are you shedding unreasonable tears. I don't expect this from you, i thought you were very sensible but you just proved me otherwise." Her mother said with a sneer. Her family was so blinded by riches and didn't even care about how she was feeling or what she was going to go through. She had tried talking to her mother about Anderson but her mother had gotten angry and said if Hazel wouldn't get married to him she was going to disown her. She could remember her mother words" she was going to cut all ties with her if she decides to lose her opportunity with andersonl She wished her mother could see her pain and decide on a change of heart. "The ride is here, is everything set?" Her brother asked her with no expression of remorse on his face. . He didn't even seem like he cared at all for her. She stared at her brother in horror as the blood drained from her face. It was happening, she was forced to live with that bastard! "My baby, I can't believe you are going." My mom said feigning sadness. "Make sure you behave yourself there, I don't want any complaints." Her mother said still feigning a smile. She watched her family in tears as she headed to Anderson's villa. She prepared herself for what was coming and decided to be strong and not look all broken. She gets there and the maids rush to take her properties, she gets comfortable and likes the treatment she is receiving. She was still settling in when a maid informed her of Anderson's arrival. She walks up to him and gives him a bare hug as he grabs her ass. She tries to wiggle out of his embrace but he holds her firmly. After a while, he lets her go and they walk hand in hand to his room. His room was painted black and white. "Bring the food in, you can't keep my wife hunger," he says as he settled down and went in for a shower. Hazel sits there awkwardly as she didn't have anything to say, Anderson also didn't seem like he wanted to have any conversation with her as she stares at the maid serving the food. Her thoughts are disrupted when Anderson comes in and shouts out a maid who was pouring his wine. He said she was too slow and proceeded to slap her butt. I gasped in shock as I couldn't fathom what had just happened. Anderson doesn't say anything and proceeds to eat, She managed to eat as the image of what had just happened played in her mind. She hadn't realized when the maids arrived and packed the plates, leaving only her and Anderson in the room. She looks everywhere but him as she notices that he starts coming closer, she tries to push him away but he grabs her hands and slips his finger into her private area. She bursts into tears but the buzzing of his phone stops him as he retreats away to answer his call.
