Chapter 4 4

Lavelle had just realized an odd thing had happened to her when Daniela had placed a large plate of turkey and a large bowl of fruit salad in front of her. The turkey was a beautiful brown, and the fruit salad looked refreshing. Lavelle was about to take a bite of the turkey when she realized that she didn't remember putting any silverware on her plate. She looked around the table and saw that there was a fork and a knife on her plate. Shocked, Lavelle ran to the toilet near the kitchen, moaning and gasping in pain as though he were about to die.

"Lavelle, I'm confused as to why you're behaving this way," Daniela said, sounding a tad surprised. Lavelle was so deep in thought that she didn't even hear the question.Lavelle had been in the bathroom for three minutes when she finally emerged, feeling much better after being able to take a break from the stifling heat of the shower. But Lavelle got a bizarre look from Daniela, who was waiting for her with her arms crossed and a stern look on her face, sitting on one of the dining table chairs. "Why are we here all of a sudden? And also, you're looking at me like I've done something wrong, which I haven't" asked Lavelle. "Gosh, what a shock it must have been for you, Lavelle, to see what happened to you! Wasn't it you who insisted you wanted to go home first because you were hungry?" Daniela asked, with some annoyance. "I don't remember anything," Lavelle said. "Don't make me more confused. I dont know, I'm so tired of walking and walking because of you. I can't go any further," snapped Daniela. "I really don't remember anything, Daniela." Lavelle avoided Daniela and then went off to glance out the cabin's windows. "I really dont remember anything, Daniela," "Please do not make me furious. Obviously, had you asked me to run a little faster because you are hungry and want to eat turkey, I would have run faster," said Daniela. "I feel a little dizzy, and I don't know. I feel really confused, as I told you before," Lavella said later. "Alright, I think this is all a result of forgetting to take the medicine. I also forgot to remind you to take your medicine. We didn't talk to the nurse or doctor, I'll get you some medicine, wait here," said Daniela, then left the room and climbed the stairs to the second floor to get some medicine for Lavella. Before Daniela could walk upstairs to get Lavelle's medicine, Mark came with Shotaro with some plastic bags of groceries and some items that might be important to stock up on during their stay in the forest-for example, they brought some detergent, a toaster oven, plastic bags, and other stuff to use during the time they spent in the middle of the forest, such as Swiss army knives, Swedish army lighters, thermal blankets, filter water straws, high-calorie rations, a first aid kit, and several ten-centimeter adventurous flashlights. "You all have done a great job in coming prepared with all the necessary tools. Yet. how did you manage to carry this with just the ramshackle bikes you got from the hospital?" asked Daniela in surprise. "I just happened to buy an off-road car, and I took it, and we left the ramshackle bikes on the road. I have no idea about that ramshackle bike anymore." Shotaro answers Daniela's question, while Mark glances at the dish on the dinner table. "Where does the turkey come from? I don't think we have turkey supplies here," Mark mumbled to himself. "I got it from nowhere, there's something weird about Lavelle behavior. Since we heading the forest for looking the wood supplies," Daniella whisper to Mark. "What's going on?" "Mark, please. I don't think it'll be a good idea to talk about it right now, I have to get Lavelle some medicine for his lightheadedness," Daniella said in a low voice, and she starts to walk away, but Mark grabs her arm. "Is something bad happening? Are you seeing something in the forest?" "We'll talk about it later, Mark. Please, put your stuff carefully in your room and put your off-road car in the garage. Shotaro I'm sure you can give him a hand," Daniella said before she continued her steps. Shotaro is Mark's cousin, who is almost the same age as Mark. He is a teenager who looks so wealthy because he can buy anything without any effort. His wealthy appearance is so much, it makes some bad boys make fun of him, and sometimes they even try to steal his stuff. But Shotaro is not afraid of anything; he is a strong and brave boy, although sometimes he acts like a spoiled kid, timid, and lonely. Mark and Shotaro nodded, then they rushed to arrange their groceries on the kitchen set's shelves and store some food ingredients in the form of meat and fruit in the refrigerator so they wouldn't go stale. Meanwhile, they will store the equipment upstairs just in case. After they had finished arranging their things, they washed their hands with a bit of a typical jokes conversation. Every now and then, they saw Lavelle pensive at the dining table with her hands resting on her head like someting else was bothering her. "Lavelle, are you okay?" Mark spoke up and asked. Lavelle just shook her head without answering. "Really? But that's look something was bothering you," Shotaro interrupted. Daniela has been on the top floor for almost three minutes now. She's walking down the stairs at a slow pace while reading a label attached to the brown medicine bottle. Then Daniela approached Lavelle and handed over the two red and white pills. Lavelle was still pensive while holding her head, but she took the pills without any hesitation. Lavelle tried to swallow the pills with a glass of water. "Don't forget to take them at the same time, you had just fled away from hospital. You shouldn't do it in this condition. You have to get good treatment first. I'm just worried that you're going to behave like that," Daniella mumbles, but her voice is calm and soft. "That's medicine that can suppress your suffering." Mark approached them slowly. "By the way, what happened? Why do you guys look so weird like that? Did something terrible happen to you guys?" Daniela couldn't help but sigh and shrug her shoulders. She couldn't find a way to explain it to him. "I don't know, Mark. We went into the forest to look for wood that we'd use as fuel for the fireplace. However, after we got into the forest, Lavelle acted strangely after saying that she wanted to pee in the bush. Then, we rushed back to the cabin because she wanted to chop turkey and make fruit salad." Mark was stunned for a moment, then spoke up, "What's going on? Is wanting such a significant dish an oddity?" "It's not strange. However, what were your opinions when you realized that when she got to this cabin, Lavelle said she didn't remember everything? Don't you think that's a crazy thing to say? In fact, I just put the dish before her, and she immediately ran to the bathroom." Daniel pressed. "Oh my gosh ... then you think that a ghost is terrorizing Lavelle?" Shotaro asked. "This feels very strange," said Lavelle, "I can't remember what we were doing when we just entered that forest. I'm not kidding, and I don't remember it at all." Mark scratched his nape softly. "Well, let's think a little more positively. Let's assume that the bipolar medicine that Lavelle is taking does make the user a little bizarre, and it's easy to forget what happened.
