Chapter 5

My transfers were handled quickly because Aunt Kim and Uncle Damon did everything.

I'm walking now to find the Accountancy department because that's my course. I rolled my eyes to this day and I am still amazed at its size and beauty. I passed the restroom so I peed first.

I was inside the cubicle when I heard someone enter.

"Is what I heard true?" said the woman

"Which?"

"They say Gail and Yadiel are gone?"

I frowned at what I heard.

Yadiel?? As in Yadiel Summer Salvador?

"Isn't Gail Salvador's girlfriend for the longest time? Then it seems like their relationship is serious. Did they break up?"

"I don't know. I saw Gail crying in the past"

"It's a shame they're still couple goals. It's a good thing"

I covered my mouth when I realized that the Yadiel they were referring to was the same Yadiel I knew.

But did I hear right? Does he have a girlfriend?? So why did he agree to marry me if he loves someone else. So why didn't he tell his parents???

I was confused by what I heard. I don't want to be the reason for the destruction of both of them. I quickly left the restroom and walked. I'm just going to ask where Yadiel's room is. He seems to be famous and I need to talk to him.

My eyes widened when I saw Yadiel walking fast. I ran to chase it.

"Summer" I shouted but it seemed that he didn't hear me.

I slowed down when I saw Summer's path. Summer stopped in front of a beautiful woman who was picking up a book on the floor that looked like it had fallen. When Summer picked up all the books she grabbed his hand and pulled him away from the crowd.

"I thought he and Gail were gone? What's that? Why is it still a concern?"

I looked at the person who spoke before turning back to Summer and Gail holding hands walking away from me. I don't know why but my chest felt a little heavy and it felt like a pain went through it.

Jeah, stop what you feel! It's wrong, wrong!

I don't know how to feel after Summer probably has a relationship and what I saw earlier will not go away from my mind. It played in my brain over and over again.

I went straight to my room in the mansion and threw my body on the bed. I sighed before stomping my feet.

"Why do I feel this way? It's annoying!!" I got up and changed my clothes before heading to the kitchen.

"Manang, let me help you" I sat at the table and helped our maids prepare the dishes for what they were going to cook.

I was quiet while peeling the horseradish.

"How deep are you thinking Jeah" asked Manang.

"Manang, what if you broke a relationship but didn't mean it, what do you do?"

"Edi, say sorry, then try to fix what you broke"

Manang's answer made me sneeze.

"Well what if you want to fix it but the people around you don't want to??"

"Why don't they?"

"They say that what they do is for the good of people"

"Well, don't just think about what is better for the majority, that's what you should follow and do"

"Haaay, it's up to batman" I said irritated and just continued what I was doing.

"I've been looking for you for a while, you're just here" I suddenly straightened up in my seat when I heard Summer.

"Did you find your building?" it asked me. I nodded without looking at him.

"Did you see the room?" I just nodded again in response

"Classmates? Have you met?" I shook my head this time.

I heard Summer's strong pull on the seat next to me.

"Are you dumb?! Can't you speak properly?" This is an annoyed question.

"I'm answering," I replied sluggishly.

"Are you not looking at me?" it asked again.

"I'm not busy with horseradish"

"I'm more handsome than horseradish" he said proudly

"I wish you would have been horseradish" I looked at Manang and some housemates who seemed to laugh at what I said.

"Jeah! Face me" he looked more annoyed but I still didn't stop the horseradish. My eyes widened when Summer suddenly grabbed my chin and brought it to her. I could feel the warmth of it caressing my chin.

"There I can see your beautiful eyes now" he commented and smiled. I was stunned for a moment because of what he said but when I recovered I hit his hand to release his grip on my chin.

"I don't have a peso, don't tease me" I tormented him in annoyance.

"Is it because you don't want to look at me" he said with a frown

"It's rude. Take care of that" I left him at the table and went to the garden. My mood immediately improved when I saw Aunt Kim's beautiful plants. I smelled it and closed my eyes because of its fragrant smell.

"Do we have a problem Jeah?"

"A handsome monkey" I clutched my chest in shock when Summer suddenly spoke near my ear. I closed my eyes in annoyance because of its presence. I faced him but immediately backed away because of his closeness to me.

I almost fell because of my backwardness. His arms quickly wrapped around my waist to keep me from falling. Our eyes were fixed on each other. I can't stop admiring her hazel brown eyes.

"Like the view?" Summer wiggled his eyebrow as if happy with our situation. I suddenly felt something strange in my stomach because of how close it was to me.

I hit his arm so he could stand me up properly.

"Yeah, I like the flower's view not you" I said rudely. I heard Summer chuckle as he heard what I said.

"Is your bum red days?" it sat next to me and watched me while smelling the other flowers.

"No, I haven't been visited yet" I told him causing him to stop. We were both silent for a moment. I can see the shock and fear in his eyes.

"Is there a chance you're pregnant Jeah?" it stuttered out the question.

"I hope not" I said sadly to Summer. I noticed the change in Summer's face at my answer.

"Do not you like?" this hesitant question

"How about you, do you want?" I ask again here.

It didn't answer me right away. I smiled at him to somehow ease the prevailing tension between us. I sighed before speaking.

"You have a girlfriend, didn't you tell me?" I could see the shock in Summer's eyes because of my question. "I heard a while ago that you were talking at school. I also saw you earlier" I turned my back on it and faced the flowers again because I felt a heavy feeling again because of the memory.

"Why didn't you approach me?" it asked me

"Am I supposed to do that? Who am I?" I laughed at this answer.

"Future wife, I guess" I turned around at Summer's answer who now scratched the back of her neck and smiled a few times.

"Why did you agree to marry me Summer? You seem to be okay when it was Gail? Then based on what I heard you are couple goals so you have been together for a long time" I asked sadly

"I have many reasons, Jeah, but that's not for you to know. Gail is important to me, so my decision was difficult" he avoided looking at me, I couldn't help but feel something in my heart because of his answer.

"Just like this, let's just give Aunt Kim and Uncle Damon what they want. Then, after 1 or 2 years, let's just file for divorce so you can go back to the person you really want" I smiled bitterly at this.

"Yeah, you don't have to do that" he said irritated

"I don't want to be trapped in a relationship without love, Summer. We'll both be in trouble, we'll be hurt. What about Gail? How about you? That's better, maybe your parents won't be angry anymore because we tried to do what they wanted again"

Summer angrily kicked the leaves in front of her.

"Fine! Two years Jeah. After that we'll free each other again" Summer looked directly at me but there was a hint of anger.

I sadly nodded and smiled at this. Summer shook her head when she saw my agreement before storming off leaving me in the garden. I don't know why my heart is heavy with what we talked about.

Shouldn't I be happy?? I should be smiling but why is it like a needle is piercing my heart.

I avoided Summer for a few days. I feel that is the right thing. I don't want our situation to be more complicated.

I was bored inside the mansion because Laina wasn't there yet, so I thought I'd go out and take a walk, especially since the moon was beautiful and there were so many stars in the sky.

I smile every time the cold wind blows. I hugged myself while letting the wind blow my hair.

I heard a rustling from behind me, I looked quickly but no one was there. I walked again but I really felt like someone was following me. Trembling rumbled in my chest. I sped up my pace especially and the next road the light pole was dead.

I simply looked behind me and saw someone following me. My chest is too tight. I sped up my pace and when I was in the dark part I ran.

When I run, he runs after me. I ran even faster, afraid that the person following me might overtake me.

I groaned as I was cut by the rock. I felt the wound that I got because of its pain and agony. I turned to the man who was chasing me and saw that he was close to me. My tears started to fall when I realized that he was about to catch up with me. I tried to get up and run but it was too late the man grabbed my arm.

"Help...." I didn't finish my scream when he suddenly covered my mouth.

Tears flowed from my eyes with fear and dread. I was even more nervous when I saw that Kath's boyfriend was in front of me, Raven.

It tightened its grip on my arm.

"No one else will own you Jeah but me! You understand, right?! You thought I wouldn't find you!! You won't get married because I'll take you with me!! I was patient with your cousin to see you every day and take care of you and then one day just disappear and get married!!! Who did you fool!!"

I struggled with Raven's grip on me as I stifled my screams because of his palms covering my mouth.

I hit his chest but he was too strong for me.

"You're mine Jeah!! Mine!!!" He took a white handkerchief from his pocket. I bit his hand with all my might. She let go of me and moaned because of what I did. I took that opportunity to run away from him.

Even though my knees and arms hurt from being on all fours, I tried to run fast. Even though my vision was blurry because of the tears that kept flowing from my eyes, I didn't stop running. I can already see the mansion of the Salvadors just a little bit.

My eyes watered even more when I saw a familiar figure of a man who had just left the house.

"Sumer" I shouted his name causing him to turn in my direction. From walking I saw Summer running in my direction

Thank God!

Just a little Jeah! I just strengthened myself a little but before Summer could get to me completely, a car stopped in front of me. From there Raven came out. He grabbed me quickly. I tried to struggle but I got two punches in the stomach from it causing my body to weaken immediately.

My body went limp because of what it did. He picked me up quickly. His hand and head were drooping as he picked me up. My tears kept falling as I looked at Summer running in my direction. Raven threw me inside the car.

"Yeah!!! Yeah!!" I heard Summer hit Raven's car when she caught up with it but Raven quickly started the car

I smelled a strange smell coming from Raven's car, which made me feel slightly sick.

Summer, please save me!
