Chapter 3 Deal with Master

Brett Holmes bought me as his slave for $5 million.

As a slave, I thought I had to stay in a room and live a hellish life under the hands of the crazy man who bought me.

But I was brought into a huge, pretty mansion with multiple rooms and polite maids. I bathed in a bathtub with roses, and the maid gave me decent clothes.

I ate steak for dinner, and while waiting for my master, I watched movies on Netflix.

'Is this how slaves live?'

It made me feel like I came back to the past when I was pampered as the daughter of a rich man.

'No. Don't expect too much. That guy only looks decent on the outside. But he's twisted.'

Waiting inside a room, I looked outside the window. There are guards everywhere, so escaping isn't a choice.

If I call the police and tell them I was kidnapped and sold illegally, the loan shark boss will kill me, right?

As I tried to keep my sanity checked while waiting, I noticed that the only people living there were the owner, the maids, and the guards.

'Is he living alone?'

Why does he live in a huge mansion with many servants if he's alone?

"Were you thinking of escaping while looking outside the window?"

My shoulder flinched as I looked back.

'He's back.'

The man who bought me came inside my room. He was wearing a black suit, and his hair was tied neatly. Right now, he looks like a decent businessman. But in my eyes, he's a handsome psycho.

'I had to include the word 'handsome' because it is the reality.'

"Don't bother thinking of a way to flee, Miss Agatha. You cannot escape from me," he said while smiling sweetly.

'See? He's really crazy.'

How can he threaten me while beaming affectionately at me?

"What do you want?" I asked while keeping my back against the wall.

It was an instinct that my body moved away from him as far as possible.

The man closed the door behind him and walked closer.

I stepped backward, but there was no way to go.

"First of all, why don't you sit down first?" he said after sitting on the edge of the bed.

He sat prettily as he crossed his legs while staring at me.

I peered at him wordlessly, trying to figure out how this man's brain works.

"Here," he uttered, tapping the space beside him. "If you don't sit down, I won't tell you."

'No way. Sitting next to him will only put me in danger.'

Like a scared cat, I stayed on my spot.

"There's a way to terminate the contract. Aren't you curious how you can get out of this?" he added.

My eyes widened, and my heart skipped a beat. 'Really?! He is going to release me soon?!'

"H-How?" I asked at a slow pace.

"I'll give ten seconds. I might change my mind if you don't sit next to me. One, two, three..."

"Wait!"

My feet moved independently, and I was already sitting next to him the next thing I knew. I turned my head to his side and briefly held my breath.

'Damn it. Why is he so handsome?'

Hate the idea that I was getting infatuated with a psycho, so I avoided his gaze very quickly. Then, I forged a cough.

"Ahem." Without looking back at him, I opened my lips, "I am here now. So, tell me. How should I pay you back and terminate the slave contract?"

"You will work as a maid."

"Huh?" I uttered as I turned my head to his side. "You need more maid?"

"No. I didn't say that you would work here. You will work as a maid for another person."

'So, I only need to work as a maid to escape this mess. That was eas...'

"Seduce your boss; that's the real plan."

My rationality crumbled when I heard the second thing I must do. My eyes didn't blink. Like a statue, I gawked at him as if asking if he was damn serious about that.

And yes. Looking at his expression, I knew he was serious.

'Who says it's going to be easy?'

"Mr. Lanceil Grim was looking for a maid. Once you become his maid, you will do everything to seduce Mr. Grim," Brett explained. "If Mr. Grim falls in love with you, then I will terminate your slave contract with me. Very simple."

Very simple?!

Seducing someone requires much effort!

Besides, I am not used to this kind of game.

The only relationship I had was with my ex-fiancee, Mikhail. However, we didn't start normally because we were arranged for business purposes. But Mikhail broke up with me after my father was arrested for tax evasion and lost the right to run the company.

I hate to admit it, but I haven't healed from our break-up.

Ever since Mikhail left me, I have had difficulty understanding true love or its existence.

Therefore, how can I seduce a guy when my heart has turned cold already?

"Can I know why I have to seduce Mr. Grim?" I asked Brett.

Brett raised his index finger and moved it side by side, like a windscreen piper of a car.

"As my slave, you are not allowed to ask the reason. Just do your mission, and you're free."

I looked at the blank space and thought about this.

'Do I have a choice?'

Actually, I don't have any.

I must accept his condition to survive and escape Brett's clutch. Thinking if I would fail or not would not help the situation.

I have to try and do my best. That was the only answer.

"All right," I said. "I will do it. But you must promise me that once Mr. Grim admits he loves me, you will let me go."

"I am a man with one tongue," he said. Brett pulled something from his suit's pocket. Next, he handed me a piece of paper and a pen.

I looked at the paper and read the contents.

["Slave contract. Agatha Samson will obey Brett until she succeeds in her mission. If she met the condition, Brett Holmes would set her free."]

He already signed this contract.

"It's your turn now, Ms. Agatha. Sign it," he said, pointing to where I should put my signature.

First, I took a deep breath before grabbing the pen.

'This will be over. I can do this,' I cheered myself this way before I put in my signature.

After signing it, Brett grabbed the paper and put it inside his suit again.

"All right. Now that we have an agreement, it is time to talk about things to consider before I send you to Lanceil Grim."

I nodded my head.

I need to know more about Lanceil if I need to seduce him.

"First question," he mumbled. "Are you a virgin?"
