Chapter 5 05

"What?! I can't believe this!" Irene said throwing her arms in the air. "I couldn't believe it too but it's the fact," Dave shrugged. "So why did Skylar lock her up? She's innocent and a human. How is she supposed to know she's his mate? He could have just befriend her that way their friendship will turn to love as time goes on and she'll accept him," Irene said she running a bit to catch Dave's pace. "I tried talking to him but as always he wants things to go his way," Dave replied before entering the class Skylar had just entered.

He was sitting on the teacher's chair casually as if nothing had happened surprising Irene. "Give me back my room keys," Irene said looking at Skylar in a challenging way. "And if I don't? " Skylar smirked. "Don't test my patience," Irene growled and the temperature in the started to change. Dave understood what was going on and he needed to stop this before it gets out of hand. Both Skylar and Irene has the royal blood in the them so they had this intimidating aura around them which could be used to defend and also scare people. Once the aura was activated, one could simply not ignore it. You can't even move a limb but here lies the case all three of them possessed the royal blood which meant if Skylar lost control like Irene was about to, everything will be ruined. "What are you going to do if I don't give you the keys?" Skylar questioned trying to push Irene to the edge. "Something I bet you never thought I was capable of," Irene smirked. "What kind of a person are you? You just enjoy making others cry and being in pain. You know what? I sometimes think you learnt s lesson from what happened to you years ago but you're still the same person. It's good she left you. It's good they all did. It's good the moon goddess took her back else I'm sure you would have murdered them with you own two hands," Irene said angrily making Skylar growl. "You can growl all you want but I'm not backing down. It's about time someone stood up to you." She said firmly. "Give.me.my.keys!" Irene said stretching her arms towards him. "What if I don't?" Skylar raised a brow. "That's cool," Irene smiled coldly before leaving. "I.....think we should run after her." Dave said looking at Skylar for an answer. "Ok fine," Dave sighed and run after Irene after receiving no answer. "Irene! Irene listen!" Dave yelled, trying to catch up with Irene but she ignored him and kept walking as if she couldn't even hear him. "Irene!" He grabbed her arm after finally catching up with her. She paused but never turned to look at him. Dave could hear her panting and growling lowly which meant her was just a blink away from surfacing. "Irene take a deep breath and calm down , please," Dave begged hoping the little human part of her left would hear him and oblige. It was very difficult to calm someone who is about to shift into their wolf form due to anger because it was the wolf that was usually in control,in such cases only the mates of the person could calm them down. But Irene's mate wasn't in the school so it was up to Dave to handle her. "Please Irene for your friend's sake calm down please. Take in a deep breath.....like this," Dave said and started breathing in and out in attempt to get her to do same. She started shaking and her growls were getting louder meaning her wolf was taking over and he couldn't let that happen. "LET ME GO!" She growled not in her voice but her wolf's. "Irene you need to calm down . I know you're angry but this is not the right way to handle this situation," he said calmly. "I said let go!" She growled but before she could get out of control, Dave injected her with werewolf's bane and covers her mouth with a gag to muffle her growls. He then dragged her to the nearby class room and locked the door. "I'm sorry Irene but I had to do this," Dave sighed as he watched her go through so much pain. Skylar was pacing around the room trying to keep Luca at bay when he felt someone trying to speak to him through the mind link so he let his barrier down. "Skylar, we have a problem," Dave's voice came immediately. "What?" "Irene lost control over her..." "Where areyou guys?" Skylar cut him off. "Five classes after where you are." "Ok, I'm coming." Back in the room, Abena dialed Irene's number for the hundredth time but still received no response. She sighed and just laid on her bed and stared at the ceiling. "Why did Skylar act like that? He didn't have any right to do that to her. Why didn't anyone stop him? Why didn't Irene stand up for her? She thought they were friends, or was she just pretending?" A lot of these questions and more flooded her brain but she got no answers. "Abena! Hey Abena over here!" She heard someone whisper followed by a knock on the window. "Ace?" Abena called before moving to open the window."How did you climb this high? This is the eighth floor " Abena said with a slight frown. "Yeah....." Ace trailed off, scratching the back of his head. "I.... go mountain climbing with my parents often so I'm really good at climbing," Ace said and crawled through the window. "Wow neat room," Ace said whiles surveying the place. "Thanks, should I give you water or...." "No I'm fine. I'm just here to get you out," Ace smiled. "How?" "Through the window, just like I came in" "What? Are you crazy? Do you want me dead ? Or you want me to end up with broken bones?" Abena said folding her arms across her chest. "Hey relax, I've got you covered," Ace laughed. "What do you mean?" "I'll carry you," Ace replied. "What if I fall... by accident. I'd rather stay in the room alone thanks." Abena turned him down flatly. "Come on. There's no harm in trying," Ace pouted. "What? No harm? You can't tell me you'll carry and climb down eight floors and tell me there's no harm. " Abena rolled her eyes. "Don't worry, you'll hold me tight and I'll do same," Ace smiled. "What if I look down and panic?" "Ok I'll blindfold you then," Ace chuckled. "You have an answer for everything," Abena said shaking her head. "Ok so are you ready?" Ace asked and Abena hesitated for a while before nodding. She's a lot calmer now," Dave informed Skylar as soon as he walked in. "I injected her with the spare werewolf bane I always keep for you," Dave added as Skylar walked steadily towards Irene. She was still growling and panting and furs covered her face. Her nails had been replaced by paws and teeth by fangs. "Irene will be fine but I'm worried about your mate," Skylar said drawing his mind back to the girl he had locked up earlier. "I'll be back," Skylar told Dave and left to Irene's room. The room was silent which only meant she had fallen asleep or something but to Skylar's surprise it was totally empty when he walked in. Skylar growled as he stared at the opened window. "Ace!" He growled angrily before storming out of the room.!
