Chapter 2 The Company

Chapter 2

"Let me ask you Ezra, you and Kerem have been married for four years but I think you only kissed at your wedding and you are both successful, shouldn't you be planning a family?" I looked at Irish because of his question.

It's like I'm speechless because of that question, I want to change the story but I feel like I'm going blank, but a nurse came.

"Doc, Doc, someone is giving birth." Irish and I immediately took action for the woman. The process we did took several hours because we had a hard time getting the baby out, but by the grace of God, the baby came out smoothly.

Irish is now with me here outside the Hospital, we were walking first to get some air while we were walking Kerem called so I answered it immediately.

"Let's go home together, I'll pick you up there so don't leave." I looked at Irish when he read the message that Kerem gave me.

"So, something like that is happening? I thought Annul would be dating Kerem? I thought you were going to have him sign the annulment paper." I immediately took my phone that he was holding and walked back inside.

I don't want to answer Irish's question because I'm not ready yet, It's like I don't want to do that.

I've been waiting for Kerem here in front of the Hospital for an hour but I can't see his Shadow, I've missed so many calls to his number but he doesn't answer.

"Kerem, kerem, where is he? Do you really intend to wait for me?" I'm talking to myself, I keep looking at my phone and maybe text Kerem but I don't really have a message for him.

"Doc, do you still remember me? I'm your patient, the one who was crippled because of the race, are you going home? I'm bringing you, I won't be too quick to express myself so we won't be harmed." Suddenly a man appeared in front of me.

"Yes, I remember you but I'm okay, I'm just waiting for something, it will come." I told him, he quickly agreed and left in front of me.

I looked at my phone again and Kerem finally texted me, I immediately opened it and the joy on my face disappeared because of his text.

"I'm sorry Ezra but I can't pick you up, I have a meeting with Mr Falcon, Let's just meet at home."

I sighed and took a taxi to go home, while inside the taxi I was already feeling sleepy because of the tiredness.

I took a nap for a while to sleep and I was surprised when I opened my eyes to see that I was already inside the room but as I remember I slept inside the taxi.

"Wait? Did maman driver carry me into the room?" I asked myself, I left the room and went downstairs to drink water.

When I entered the kitchen, I saw Kerem baking a cake. He poured me water even though I couldn't speak yet.

"Ezra." he called my name. "I'm sorry if I didn't keep my promise to you earlier, I'm really leaving to pick you up but suddenly Mr. Falcon appeared." he explained, but I don't have any anger or resentment toward him because he told me that he would prioritize Work over me.

"It's okay, I didn't expect you to come to pick me up, You know, Mother I adapted your motto in life to myself, You don't believe in Love so you prioritize Work." I smiled at him but in truth there was something in me that I was disappointed.

"Why did you bake a cake? And at this time really." I asked him, I thought he wouldn't answer that but he didn't hesitate to answer my question while smiling.

"I want to give her something, She loves sweets so I made this cake, I hope she likes it." Kerem's answer suddenly made me think, I am the only woman in his life apart from his Mother, so if it is not for me, it is for Mom, but as far as I know, Kerem's Mother does not like sweets.

"That's good, you want to help me, I have a talent for baking." I'm okay with him but he doesn't seem to want me to help him because of the look in his eyes. "Whoever is the person you are going to give the Cake will be happy because you're the one who made it."

"If it's possible, it would be me."

It's two pm in the afternoon, I'm here outside the Hospital, Sitting here on the Bench, I'm waiting for Leila to come because I received a Call from her and I heard her crying.

"Mrs. Ezra, Mrs. Callis." I fell to my side when I heard Leila's crying voice, she knelt in front of me, sweating profusely.

Suddenly I was panicking because there were people coming in and out of the hospital seeing Leila humiliating me. A few minutes before I had Leila sit next to me.

"Leila, are you okay?" I don't know why I asked this, I handed him a handkerchief from my pocket, When he stopped crying, he told a story.

"Mrs Ezra, earlier in the office, Mr Callis ordered me to take the Cake from your House." When he tells a story. "I followed Mr. Callis' order, I brought the ribbon cake to the Office.-" He couldn't continue what he had to say because he was crying so much.

"Laila, you can relax, because I don't understand you." Laila wiped her tears and continued the story.

"I broke the Cake and Mr. Callis is very angry with me now, Mrs. Ezra, I love my job, Mr. Callis might fire me." He stopped talking and held my hand.

"Mrs Ezra, I came here because I need your help."

"Leila, I'll let you know, but was the cake for a while and Kerem was so angry with you?" I asked, He thought for a moment and he said my name with a smile but that was impossible for me.

When Leila and I finished our conversation, she returned to the company, while I got in my car to go to the company.

When I arrived at the Company, everyone greeted me with joy, I always smiled at them all, I went straight to Kerem's office but I didn't see him there so I was just here at Engine's office.

"Uhm Ezra, what are you doing here? You've been sitting for a while but you haven't said a word." I stopped talking on the cellphone when Engine spoke, I stared at him with raised eyebrows so he bowed.

"Where's Kerem?" I asked a short question, Engine looked up and stared at me, I repeated my question because he didn't want to answer.

"Kerem? Your wife? The Company Owner? The grumpy guy? Kerem is my best friend." I nodded at every word he said but I couldn't get an answer from him.

"Eugine, I will repeat my question, Where is Kerem, my Wife, the Owner of this Company and your Best Friend." Eugine gave me a forced smile, it seemed like he had no intention of answering my question.

I stood up and left his office, I walked towards the Employees' table, When I sat next to Leila, everyone stared at me.

"Mrs Callis." An employee mentioned my last name.

"It looks like you are working on a new project, I won't delay, I just want to know where Kerem is." I asked modestly, the Employees immediately looked away.

"Amira." I called Eugine's Assistant. "You're always here in the Office, you see everything, Where's Kerem?" Amira was sweating profusely and stared at me as if she was nervous.

"Mr. Callis is with Ms.-" Amira couldn't finish what she was going to say when Eugine suddenly appeared and asked me to have coffee outside, I couldn't do anything but follow her outside.

When we were outside, he asked me to get into the car and said he would take me to where Kerem was.

I followed what he wanted, I got into the car and the car stopped in front of a park, We got out and walked into the park full of trees and plants.

"Did you like cake?" I stopped walking when I heard Kerem's voice, Eugine and I saw Kerem with a girl next to him, They were both eating the Cake.

"Kerem, thank you for the Cake, it's so delicious." The woman replied that I couldn't see her face because her long hair blocked it.

"Ezra, let's go, You don't need to see it." Eugine said, I was about to walk to leave but I suddenly lost my balance.

"Why? Why did this happen to me? I see my

Husband with a woman but I can't help but watch them while having fun."
