Chapter 6 The attack

There was panic in the city; people were running wildly after Prince Pascal's caravan was attacked by unknown people. Two of the soldiers guarding the prince had been ambushed, they were on the ground and had lost their lives, and the remaining eight soldiers had the task of ensuring that the Prince was not harmed from the group of criminals

Emily, the poor girl, remained hidden by leaning on the iron wheel (tire) of the prince's car while the four horses that were moving the carriage had broken legs so that they would lie on the ground and not run carelessly and cause more danger to the prince, if the carriage overturned and cause an accident. Prince Pascal took his sword and wanted to go out and fight the invaders who hid in the crowd of people who were running around.

"Your majesty the prince, no, don't go out, stay in here. It's very dangerous for your safety outside" his assistant told him, stopping him with his hands from going out.

"Let me fight, I'm not used to having everything done for me" he forced

"It is better to kill me here than to let you get out of the car and risk your life" his assistant refused to let the prince go, who looked at his main guard then shook his head and returned his sword and got back into the car. His guard returned to the battlefield throwing arrows and the people have already dispersed the area for fear of their lives, choosing to stand at a distance.

Prince Pascal's assistant managed to shoot one of the attackers with an arrow and managed to stop the attack because the attackers decided to flee after seeing a large group of soldiers increasing at the scene. The soldiers who were in the surrounding areas when the incident happened were called to signal danger and came to increase the strength to protect Prince Pascal.

The panic was over, the two soldiers guarding Prince Pascal had lost their lives, and two others were injured while six soldiers were still alive. They continued surrounding the prince after stopping the attack of the invaders who wanted to kill the prince and had failed to succeed in their exercise.

Emily remained lying on the ground shaking, curled up with her eyes closed right there outside the carriage (of a horse) of Prince Pascal knowing that the fight was still going on but it had ended. Two soldiers followed her and caught her from above and took her in front of Prince Pascal who was full of anger as he got down from the charioteer with his royal robe and crown on his head.

"Your majesty, the prince. we have brought the girl" the soldiers told him, pushing Emily to her knees while she was afraid and trembling. Prince Pascal bent down and looked at the girl's face raising her chin

"Who are they?" he asked her

"I don't know your majesty the prince"

"Are you kidding me, girl? You have been sent by them to hinder the prince's caravan with your scarf so that they can do what they intended and then you say you don't know who sent you?" the prince's aide and his chief bodyguard asked Emily sternly.

"I really don't know and I have not cooperated with them, please."

"Bring the sword" Pascal asked and was given a sword and placed it on young woman Emily's neck, Emily opened her eyes feeling the urge to urinate when she saw death in front of her, stalking her.

"Please don't kill me, my noble prince. please let my life depend on your mercy, I'm your slave, I'm not involved in what happened, I'm not involved and I don't know those people, I don't know them at all" Emily trembled crying, tears and phlegm accompanied by sweat coming out of her and wetting her dress.

Prince Pascal angrily raised his sword and wanted to bring it down on Emily's neck but his hand was blocked by his assistant named Desha, before it landed on Emily's neck and cut off her head, he turned to his assistant.

"Desha, why have you been the opponent of everything I did?"

"Your Highness the Prince, I always oppose you in doing wrong things, especially this. Killing a girl in front of the people will ruin your reputation. Your Highness the prince, you will fail to inherit the kingdom later"

"I will listen to you only this once." the prince returned his sword listening to his assistant.

"Arrest her and put her in the carriage" Desha ordered the soldiers to carry Emily, tying ropes in her hands and loading her into another horse-drawn carriage, along with the bodies of the two soldiers who lost their lives.

Emily found herself in a soldier's carriage being taken away from the area crying while being under the strict protection of armed soldiers. She never thought that one day she might suffer from such a situation.

Meanwhile Aunt Eliza and her daughter Linda were sitting outside their house talking,

"Mom, I am really hungry," Linda, her daughter, complained

"You have hands, go cook food."

"Mom, I can't cut my long nails, why don't you go mom"

"Am I your employee? Why are you a child?" Aunt Eliza scolded the daughter

"Then mother would have just hit Emily, you shouldn't have kicked her out..."

"Who cooked this food for me?" Aunt Eliza's husband asked when he came out of the house

"I did my husband."

"How did you cook it? How come it doesn't taste like what I'm used to, where is Emily?"

"She ran away and broke my jar; I don't think she will come back today"

"You fool, I allowed you to beat her and not drive her away. Who will cook for us now, your child, whom you raised like an egg?"

"Hey my husband, don't call your daughter..." before Aunt Eliza finished her sentence, their last child, Lorene, came panting.

"What's wrong, why are you scaring us like that?" Linda asked her younger sister who was bent over while catching her breath.

"Sister Emily has been arrested and the soldiers were..." she told them what she saw, they all looked at each other.

"Mr. just don't go there, no one will connect you to the case" Aunt Eliza said as she entered inside their house.

On the other side inside the king's palace, King Sebastian and his wife queen Zoe were outside, they were not at peace after hearing that their son Pascal had been attacked. Their son's caravan entered the palace and he and his wife followed it, Pascal got off his horse carriage slowly holding his shoulder while his arm is outstretched.

"Are you safe my son?" his mother ran to him

"I'm safe mother, don't worry" he answered her with a smile

"Whoever was responsible for this must pay a hundred times" the king said shaking his head, at the same time the girl Emily was taken off the car where she was loaded by the soldiers as a criminal.

"My God, have I been brought into the king's palace??" she wondered

"Let's go!" she was kicked by a soldier behind her....
