Chapter 3 Liam's Craziness

Third POV

Alpha Nicholas went upstairs to wake his band of misfits, they really needed to talk. He got to his office because that was where he left them, he met four of them except Liam. "Ash, where is Liam? You guys know quite alright he can't control himself for 48 hours after so much bloodshed," Nicholas screamed and all of them jumped up scared because they knew Liam shouldn't be left unsupervised after so much bloodshed. He hasn't been able to control his blood thirst well. He's still on the brink of losing his humanity. They all left the office quickly to go look for Liam. They got to the forest part where there was no one patrolling that side because the guards that would have been patrolling that side were killed yesterday during the ambush. Before they could even run deep into the forest, they could already see body parts littered on the ground and immediately they knew Liam was at work because that was his style. He doesn't just go for the kill, he plays with his kill. After he must have severed the person's body part while fighting them, then he goes for the kill. He thrived to see the fear in his victims' eyes before he drained them. "Rogues have penetrated this pack and our only saving grace was that they encountered Liam the devil (that was the name they called him when he was in his bloodlust mode), because they would have killed a few members of this pack before we would have noticed," Nicholas said to them while he instructed two of his gangs to go back and keep the pack members save. "Ash and Elijah you would have to go back and make sure everyone is safe in the pack." "Ash, make sure the doctor doesn't leave your sight. A weakling is stronger than she is and that is the only pack healer we have." Nicholas said to them before they left. "The rest of us would go and check what is going on," Nicholas said. They ran and met Liam drenched in blood with about sixty more wolves spread across him, and so many body parts littered around him. But what caught their attention was a little girl who was placed on a branch on top of a very tall tree and she was shedding tears. Daphne ran while dodging the rogue wolves to go carry the child. She got to the tree and jumped, her left hand grabbed a branch which she used to propel her body, and jumped to the branch holding the child. She lifted the child and jumped down. Immediately Hector cleared the way for her, he instantly spelled a branch that he used in hitting one wolf on the neck and bent down slightly to cut the second wolf's Jaguar as it jumped up to bite Daphne, before the wolf's teeth could make contact with Daphne's leg, it's head had already been severed by Hector. Nicholas was still watching the whole scenario play, he knew that Liam could handle the whole thing by himself but unlike before, now he has to think about the welfare of his pack members. Nicholas didn't bother changing into his wolf, he only changed to his wolf to fight Alpha Matteo so his pack members wouldn't be so scared of him. Even while he was fighting Matteo, he was restraining himself and also fighting the wolf in his head. Nicholas jumped into the fight and started severing the heads of the wolves. Nicholas was severing heads while Liam was still in his bloodlust mode and he was drunk on blood. Liam would sever one arm of a wolf and go ahead and sever another wolf's arm. Since he's a vampire and he is very fast, he could sever body parts within a twinkle of an eye and move on to his next victim. Within an hour Nicholas and Liam had already killed the remaining sixty rogue wolves left. Liam killed his last victim and he jumped on Nicholas, he got so close to his neck but Nicholas stretched his arms and caught his neck in the nick of time. This time the real battle had just begun. Liam's eyes were blood red before when he was killing the rogues but now it had already turned black, his vampire side had already conquered him. His vampire side saw Nicholas as an equal to him. So he was ready to fight him till the end. Nicholas could see that Liam had already fallen into the madness phase. "Liam you can still fight this, you are stronger than that, don't let your vampire side control you" he growled. Liam threw a punch at Nicholas, but Nicholas anticipated his move and moved back a few inches before the blow could touch him. "Liam you are my brother, brothers do not fight each other" "Nicholas I don't want to fight you, I just want your blood!" Liam shrugged. "Aren't you tired of blood Liam? You should be drunk on blood right now!" Liam bared his teeth at Nicholas. "That's the problem, Nick, unlike you, I love the taste of blood, it makes me high!" "But brother you know what makes me higher, it's the competition" he snarled. "I love it when my victims fight, I thrive on their fear and the beat of their heart, the look in their eyes when they know they've met their doom!" Liam laughed. He ran towards Nicholas again and they continued fighting. Begrudgingly Nicholas allowed his gaze to wander over the battleground. Everywhere was bloody. "But I do not have emotions that quicken your bloodlust. I'm not scared of you, not even one bit! Why do you fight me?" Liam licked his fangs and his bottom lips before replying. "Nicholas it is that emotion I want. I need you to be scared and frightened. That's the catch. You are a big counterpart but one I can win." They continued fighting and after a while Nicholas replied to Liam once his fangs were close to his neck. "Maybe you could have won me, if you were still thinking and not being controlled by your lust for blood." "You lose," Liam said and he bit Nicholas on his throat sucking his blood with the plan to drain him. "But you lose brother," Nicholas said and within a twinkle of an eye Liam was on the floor, he had collapsed. What happened to Liam?
