Chapter 5 Pretending To Be Asleep

Lucifer had felt Skyler's gaze on him but he pretended to be asleep waiting to know what she will do. But then, she didn't do anything but kept on staring at him.

He shook his head and let out a small sound as if he was waking up from his sleep, he thought she will keep on staring at him but to his surprise when he opened his eyes, he saw her pretending to be asleep just like he did. He smiled and found her action quite adorable and cute.

" You can stop pretending now, I know you're awake " he said, the smile still on his thin lips. His voice were as calm as the seas.

He saw her open her eyes to look at him, but then he expected her to be weary of her surroundings instead he saw her eyes widened with a shock expression on her face.

" What is it " he asked as if he didn't know why she was staring at him like that.

" It's.... It's you again " Skyler said forgetting about her leaving the mansion once she saw him.

" What happened to me , have we met before "

" No... I mean yes, you appear to me in my dreams " Skyler said.

" Me ? I don't think so " Lucifer said.

" Yes, it's you. You're the blue eyed man in my dreams " Skyler said, she was sure he was the one and nobody else. She couldn't mistake that beautiful eyes and beautiful face of his. Only now she was seeing him in flesh and blood.

" Are you sure it's me, am I the only one with blue eyes you know of and no one else " Lucifer said, he purposely prolonged thier conservation and pretended as if he didn't know what Skyler was saying.

Of course Skyler knew other people with blue eyes, Mr Ken had blue eyes but then the man in front of her had darker blue eyes.

" Yes I'm hundred percent sure " Skyler said.

" Hmm " he hummed.

" Have we met before " Skyler asked, she wanted to know why she kept on seeing him in her dreams. It was only someone you know you see in your dreams and not some stranger.

" No " he said.

" So why do you keep on appearing in my dream "

" That I have no idea, I don't see you in my dreams " Lucifer said as if he actually had dreams.

" Weird " Skyler said " so I guess you're the master of this mansion ".

" You can call me Lucas " Lucifer said

" Oh sorry, Master Lucas I ... "

" Lucas "

" Master Lucas I ... "

" Lucas "

" Master Lucas, yes I know that... " Skyler said wondering why he kept on repeating his name.

Lucifer chuckled " of course not, you're not getting it right " he said.

" I got it right, I called you master Lucas " Skyler said raising her right brow up. When he chuckled, he looked even more handsome, what if laughed how will he .....

Shaking that thoughts out of her head, she frowned at what he said. Of course she was getting it right.

" How else do you want me to say it again " she said crossing her arms frowning.

She looked adorable in Lucifer's eyes, the way she pouted her lips, and her ocean blue eyes staring at him in frustration.

" You're not listening, I said Lucas not master Lucas "

" Really, you should have just told me " Skyler said rolling her big eyes. All her actions looks adorable to Lucifer, it has been long something amazed him except for the punishment given to the sinners in hell.

" I did, you weren't listening " he said.

" Alright, I mean that's what they call you here in the mansion " Skyler said.

" Yes, but I want you to just call me Lucas "

" Okay "

" What about you, won't you tell me your name " Lucifer said, he wanted to know her sweet name too.

" Oh, Lilian " Skyler said.

" Lies "

" It's my name not yours " Skyler said, she wasn't used to telling strangers her name.

" That's not your name "

" What do you think my name is then "

" I don't know, you tell me "

" I don't tell my name to strangers "

" Why "

" Nothing "

" Really, you have to tell me your name or else...."

" Or else what ? "

" You really want to know " Lucifer smirked.

" You can't do anything to me "

" Really, have you forgotten you're in a man's house in the middle of the night "

" That, I did not forget "

" Ain't you scared "

" I ain't scared of anything "

" Why "

" I have been that way "

" I can do whatever I wish to you and no one will come to save you "

" You wouldn't dare "

" Oh trust me I can, if you don't tell me your name now I'll kiss you "

" You can't kiss me without my permission " Skyler frowned looking around for something to hit him if he dare try to kiss her.

" Except you tell me your name "

" And I said I won't " Skyler said , she wanted to know if he will really do as he said.

And then, she saw him stand up from the chair he sat. He was wearing a black pajamas, his hard chest was exposed a little as he had left the top three buttons opened.

He walked slowly and closer to the bed without breaking eye contact and Skyler moved back till her back hit the wall, she stared at him with her eyes wide.

Was he really going to kiss her for real ?

Did he really meant what he said ?

Skyler saw him got on the bed and got closer to her, her back was plastered against the wall as her heart started beating faster. He was so close to now, only a breath away from her already flushed face. Her eyes trailed down to his parted thin lips.

Closing her eyes, she waited for the kiss to come. She would have really punched him hard on the face, she couldn't find anything beside her to protect herself, her body was still weak.

One minute

Two minute

Five minutes passed and Skyler still had her eyes closed while Lucifer just stared at her smiling, did she really want him to kiss her.

After five minutes pass and no kiss came, she could feel his hot breath against her face. Skyler opened her eyes to see him staring at her with a smile.

Any girl who will be as close as she was to him now might faint because of how beautiful he was with his hair falling over his face.

His blue eyes were sexy, his sharp pointed nose, his lips were a little parted , her eyes trailed down to his hard chest which was rising and falling as he breathed.

Even she couldn't deny fact that he was really a handsome man, any girl who would be in her position right now would have kissed him right away and let him have his way with them.

But she wasn't that kind of girl, she suddenly regained herself, she placed her hand on his chest unknowingly as she tried to push him away from her but he was so strong.

" You really want me to kiss you Skyler " he said suddenly said and Skyler who was pushing him away suddenly froze.

He knew her name ?

But how ?

When ?

" How did... how did you know my name " Skyler was surprised at how he knew her name when she didn't even tell him.

Her eyes were wide as saucers, she watched him get off her and out of the bed.

" I knew your name, I just wanted you to tell me. Now sleep, any normal human being was suppose to be asleep by now " Lucifer said walking towards the couch to sleep on.

" So you're saying I'm not normal " Skyler frowned.

" I didn't say that "

" Tell me how did you know my name first "

" Nope, sleep "

" Okay if you won't tell me I need my phone and clothes I need to go back home asap tomorrow morning " Skyler said getting of the bed and ended up falling to the ground.

She had forgotten that she had twisted her ankle " ahh " she winced in pain.

Lucifer quickly got to where she was on the ground and lifted her up in his arms , he made her sit back on the bed while he sat back on the chair. He frowned at her " do you want to injure yourself " he said.

" I actually injured myself I twisted my ankle when I woke up as I tried to get off the bed " Skyler said with her face contoured in pains.

" Why didn't you tell me "

" I .... I " Skyler couldn't complete her words as she saw him frowning his face, he still looked handsome. She watched him blow the hair off his face.

" Place your leg on my thigh " he said.

" What ? "

" Do you want me to do it myself " he smirked.

Skyler slowly placed her leg on his thigh, she watched him slowly massaged her ankle with care. He was focused on what he was doing as if it was one big task.

Skyler wondered why he was caring for her ?

Did they know each other before ?

She was surprised at herself for being calm around him as if they had known each other for years. There was something about it and she will find out what it is.

She wondered why she wasn't scared to be in a stranger's house, a man for that matter, on top of his bed. He had almost kissed her not long.

Skyler tried not to remember how his sexy lips which was just a breath away from hers, she was tempted to just peck him but she didn't.

" I'm done, now have a good sleep " he said getting up from the chair.

" Wait, are you going to sleep on the same bed with me " Skyler asked to be sure. Even if she was calm around him, she wasn't going to let him sleep on the same bed with her.

" Do you want me to sleep with you " Lucifer said to see her reaction " I mean it's my bed after all ". He was right though.

" What " Skyler almost choked when she heard what he said " I'll sleep on the couch " she was about getting up from the bed when....

" I was just kidding, I'll sleep on the couch " Lucifer said and without another word, he went to sleep on the couch.

Skyler watched him sleep on the couch, closing his eyes " good night my angel " he said purposely.

My angel ?

This man ?

Skyler could only stare at him till she saw him sleep off " good night " she whispered as lay on the bed till she drifted off to sleep.

As soon as she slept off, Lucifer got off the couch and walked towards the bed staring at her as she breathed softy.

He used the quilt to cover her small body " I finally get to spend some time with you my angel, I wish we can stay like this all night " he said and then bend forward to kiss her forehead.

He then walked to the window, placing his hand on the sill he stared outside the starless sky, he remembered when he used to be up there, when he was still an angel.

But then, his other half name remind him of the sky as her name was Skyler. He chuckled and turn around to stare at her sleeping face.

" Skyler " he called her name, he liked the way her tongue rolled out his tongue.

Skyler woke up but didn't open her eyes as she liked the bed it was so soft on her skin. She tried to move her body but then she felt a strong hand over her waist.

Opening her eyes, she saw that Lucifer was sleeping next to her on the same bed. She gasped as her hands were hugging him and legs were over him.

" ahhhhhhh " she screamed out her lungs and tried to get his strong hand over her tiny waist but he didn't even budge.
