Chapter 1

"Do you get Mr. Zaballa, Mr. Aringo?" I asked, and he placed his folder of documents on my table.

"Yes, Ms. Sandoval. You don't worry about anything because I did everything you ordered," he answered. "Mark will surely be angry when he finds out that we got the investor he was hoping to get," he answered me with a smile.

I just secretly smiled because of what he said. And took the folder from the table to read it.

"Job well done, Mr. Aringo," I answered. I can't help but feel happy because Mark's head is probably burning with anger.

This is just the beginning of my revenge on you and your woman!

I just secretly smiled while looking at the document that proves that we have acquired the SYG corporation.

Mark's POV

I fixed my tie and prepared myself for some important business meetings that will invest in my company. I check my watch; it's already 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon.

"Sir, your appointment with Mr. Zaballa was canceled today; he already invested in the other company, and he said he would not invest in us anymore," my secretary said in the intercom.

Damn it! I exhaled so deeply just to control my anger.

"Go to my office now!" I yelled at my secretary. Shit!

I sit on the swivel chair just to wait for my secretary to enter my office. How could it happen? Fuck!

After a while, my secretary entered the office. She seems so scared and nervous, like a cat. Because she knows how to make me angry. My jaw tightened as I looked at her nervously.

"Just tell me how it could happen." I madly need him to invest in my company!" I hissed in anger. I can feel her trembling in front of me.

"I don't even know, sir. He called me and told me that he cut off his-"

"I don't need your goddamn explanation! Do you want to get fired? Huh?! Just fulfill your fucking responsibilities! Fuck!" I hissed again. I can see her paleness in front of me. Damn it! How did that happen?

"I'm sorry, sir," she apologized to me. I exhaled so deeply and messed up my hair before facing her again.

"What company? Just tell me what goddamn company he deals with!" my voice almost echoed inside my office.

"Sandoval's Company, sir," she said again. I don't know how many times I got goosebumps when I heard that name. Shit!

"Fuck! Get out of my office. Get out!" I shouted at her again. It's like a scared child rushing out of my office.

When my secretary left, the anger I felt still hadn't subsided. My hand clenched in anger. Damn! I slowly pulled my forehead back while looking at the desk.

I also heard my office door open and close, but it was a sign that someone had entered, so I just ignored it. I also heard the noise of the heels being used, and it was going to where I was!

"What happened here?" I just gasped when I heard my sister's voice. I simply look at her and see that her eyes are roaming inside my office.

"Nothing. Why are you here?" I asked her directly.

"You know why I keep coming back to your company. And-" I motioned with my hand to silence her from speaking. Damn! My head hurts every time she speaks.

"You're not tired of begging me about that? I've made up my mind, Jamie!" I answered her. I'm already causing a lot of problems, and then she's going to give me a headache?

"But, brother, you must find Lea. It's been a year since she disappeared like a bubble. And I'm so worried about her and also about my niece. Aren't you worried?" She answered again. Here we go again with a conversation that I'm still avoiding.

"No." I saw her silence at what I said. "And I don't have a plan either to find her. She didn't disappear; she left voluntarily. That's why I should know how to return!" I hissed

"But brother, you must find her, please. Mommy and daddy are worried," she keeps begging on my front.

"Stop it, Jamie. My decision is final!" I voiced, echoing across the whole office. I can see the sadness on her face.

"I get it. You don't love and care for Lea," she answered before she left my office. When he left, I gently ruffled my hair.

"God damn it!" I hissed in anger while looking at the door.

Leah Point Of view...

"Ma'am, your brother called. And he wants to remind you that you'll assign everything to an important business meeting that will be held on Wednesday afternoon. together with the board member and new business partner," I just nodded at what my secretary said.

I'm not shocked by what my secretary said because last month Reynard told me about the big project they were going to do. because they have a big project to do in Cebu, which is to build a hotel. Their target market is the growth of tourist spots and tourist destinations here in the Philippines. He assigns everything to me. up to the proposal, layout of the hotel, head of construction, and also in charge of everything.

"Okay, thanks." I gently rubbed my forehead. Gah! I already have four days to fix everything about our proposal. "By the way, did we have a new business partner?" I arched my eyebrow at her.

I gently looked at my secretary, who looked slightly at the paper she was holding.

"Yes, ma'am," answered my secretary.

"Who? What company does he own?" was my answer. Damn! Why didn't I even know that?

"SBC Company. Under held by Mr. Mark Samuel Montecillo," I felt weak at what my secretary said. WTF?!

Mark???

"What!? When?" I couldn't help but raise my voice at what I heard. Damn!

How could that happen?

I feel like my head hurts even more from what I heard. Damn! Why didn't I even know that? I feel mixed emotions right now. A mixture of annoyance and anger. I hurriedly grabbed my phone and dialed my brother's number. Every time my brother's phone rings, I get even more annoyed. Pick up the phone!

"The number that you have dialed is not attended or out of reach of the area. Please try a call later." Damn! I don't know how many times I was scolded in anger while my brother's cell phone kept ringing.

"Ugh!" I hissed in irritation and placed my phone on my table.
